Being the nice person that I am, I allowed him to use my phone and he ended up calling this cab service. I unfortunately was heading to the airport so as soon as he gave me my phone back, I left. Little did I know - they ended up calling me to let me know that the cab was outside. I told them, "oh, I don't know what's going on but the person calling the cab phone ran out and he randomly came up to me to use mine to call a cab." The dispatcher then went on to demand that I go back to the hotel where he called and assure that the guy gets in the cab. I told him that obviously I can't do that as I've told you I am no longer there as I have a plane to catch and I did nothing more than a small good gesture favor for a random person in need. He ended up threatening to block my number and proceeded to yell at me. The guy on the phone is a clown and I wish he did it in person

We attempted to get an Uber/Lyft at 4:30am Sunday Morning to get to the airport. No one would…read moreaccept the drive. We were forced to quickly find taxi service to make our flight on time. Google search recommended 24seven taxi. Fee was twice as much as Uber/Lyft. But we needed to get to the airport so we accepted. "Olu" arrived in a reasonable amount of time. He helped load the luggage into the vehicle. He was pleasant to speak with. About half way through the drive he asked if we had and could pay with cash. He said the company would refund the credit card charge after the fact. During the drive I checked my bank statement. The charge "finalized" before we arrived at the airport. He continued to ask for cash and said "the owner will call you". I showed him that the transaction has already gone through. "I'm not going to pay you twice and get no receipt that I paid in cash". BUYER BEWARE!!!! Their phone number immediately hangs up on you. Their social media is spotty at best. I attempted to give them the opportunity to respond before writing this. I received no response. He also had the nerve to ask for a "gift" after attempting to shake me down for cash and credit card payment. Maybe this is a single driver issue? Maybe the driver was the owner? Pay the extra money to schedule an Uber/Lyft ahead of time when needing a ride at a low volume time. ***Update**** Owner called me to apologize about the situation explaining he is attempting to have drivers take payments directly to cut out a middle man (card processors), but the online functionality has not been disabled to allow for clear communication between clients and drivers. If this had been clear ahead of time, we would have had a much better experience.

We made two stops but it was still a quick trip overall. My driver (I forget his name!) was so friendly and was pointing things out and telling me lots of facts along the way. On the way back to the airport it was a full bus as we made 3 stops. I was most impressed with how timely they were. My pick up time was 12:25 and they closed the doors and took off right at 12:26, leaving whoever else was supposed to be at my stop but hadn't shown up yet. In the past I had taken a different transportation and we were stuck at one of the resorts waiting for this late person that overslept or something. I would definitely use Mears again!

The bus arrived shortly after, and the process was very organized. I recommend booking your round trip ticket online in advance it made everything quick and easy. The driver handled our luggage and stored it securely in the bus's luggage compartment, so we didn't have to worry about it. The bus was clean and had excellent air conditioning, which was especially nice after a long flight. The ride to our Disney resort was comfortable, and we arrived fairly quickly. Overall, Mears Connect was a convenient, affordable, and stress free way to get from the airport to Disney. I would definitely use them again!

I rode the self driving electric shuttle service in Lake Nona. It started in September. The two…read moreMove Nona shuttles are manufactured by Navya and operated by Beep. They travel on a fixed route on Tavistock Lakes Blvd to two stops: outside the Pixon building by Lake Nona Town Center and the Laurate Park Village Center (near Canvas restaurant). The plan is to eventually increase the number of shuttles and routes. The self driving electric shuttles navigate by using sensors and GPS to adjust to traffic conditions. There are attendants on each bus and they can take over the manual operation of the shuttle at any time. The attendant was using a tablet like screen and a video game controller. The air conditioned shuttles are currently free to ride during the initial launch period and carry up to 10 people. The shuttle travels at a maximum of 15 miles per hour right now but may go faster in the future. You must sit, buckle your seatbelt and hold onto a railing inside the shuttle. Be prepared that the shuttle does make hard stops if it senses something in the way. The shuttles currently operate from 10am-2pm and 6pm-10pm but these hours may change in the future. The shuttle arrives at the stops every 10-15 minutes. You can do a 20 minute round-trip by just telling the attendant.

Autonomous may break/stop when the sensor picks up other vehicle(s) passing through with high speed within its safety range. Mo was the attendent on the shuttle. He was able to answered my questions with great details on how the shuttle functions.
