Other Mother's is a one stop shop for all families looking for cheap but quality clothing. As with all business they have a policy, it seems most of the negative reviews here skipped over the reading material in the store clearly explaining how it works. This isn't a non profit, it's a business that provides value to the many families within the community who don't want to splurge on brand new clothes for our littles one that grow out of it within a month or two. Sure you can go on ebay and sell your items, (ebay takes 10%). Sure you can sell on facebook marketplace and deal with some real weirdos and people that can't meet up on time. You would likely make more money doing that, but Other Mother's provides an easy care free experience and guess what... they WILL NOT SELL your items without first texting you and letting you know the quote of the trade in value. End rant. Overall, this store is a great resource for parents who want to save money without sacrificing quality, and I highly recommend it. read more

I have been trading in my used baby, child items here for years and I give this a 10/10! Yes, this option has saved me a ton of money/time selling my stuff on my own and refilling my children's closet with great items I have found in their store. With that said, there is an option for in store credit which is more (1/2 of what they price the item for) or cash which is less money than that. They do not always sell your items and they will gladly take the loss and it eventually ends up at the .25 cent sale which is twice each month, which is great if your on a budget! .25 cent sale for everything in their back room (out of season clothes that are sometimes in great condition/jackets/pants/shirts/toys/shoes), some are donated or they couldn't accept due to their inventory being full or stain etc. The staff is great and always willing to communicate with you and help you find an item if it is in stock. I am happy and grateful places like this exist or i would be donating all my items to goodwill without being able to refill my child's closet. read more

If I could rate this store a zero I would. Here is why, on April 20th, 2021 I bought a dress and after getting home I realized it was crawling with bugs. After further investigation, it was apparent that the dress was infested with bed bug eggs, feces, and live bed bugs themselves. I had called Other Mothers in which was handed over to the owner Tammy. Tammy mentioned that there have been many instances in which bugs had been found in the store but had not turned out to be bed bugs themselves in which she wanted her inspector to confirm bed bugs were on the dress. Tammy mentioned that I couldn't prove the bed bugs had come from the store without the dress in hand even though the eggs, feces, and live bugs themselves said enough. My next step was to get ahold of an inspector to come check the surrounding areas the dress had been in contact with since bed bugs are known to quickly spread to new spots to hide. While I had no success getting ahold of an open company that night, we took it upon ourselves to steam clean what could have been the affected areas to take any precautions. The next morning I immediately called an inspector who came and checked what could have been the affected areas. While he was checking the couch, in which the dress had been resting on, it was evident that bed bugs had already spread through the couch. The inspector pulled bed bugs off our couch and placed them on tape to show they were alive and there. After talking with my inspector, it was evident that the bed bugs had started from the dress purchased at Other Mothers in which he pointed out the unhatched bed bug eggs (whitish purl looking circles shown in the picture) on the dress and feces (black dots shown in picture) left behind had meant they had been nesting for a while on this dress. Since bed bugs were found in the house/couch, my only option left was to get a treatment done. We ended up getting a manual treatment that includes 3 different treatments because one treatment does not guarantee a 100% success rate. The manual treatment cost us $1250 in which a heated treatment would have cost anywhere between $1500-$2300. On April 21st, 2021 I brought the dress up to Other Mothers to Tammy, the owner, in which she had requested for her inspector to check the piece of clothing as well. Later, she called me and said the inspector did confirm they were bed bugs in which he treated the select location they were found in rather than the whole store. Tammy then mentioned I was being "ripped off" for spending $1250 when her inspector could do it for $250. After discussing with the owner Tammy at Other Mothers I asked if there was any way she would work with me on the cost of the treatment in which Tammy said she would only pay $250 of the $1250 because that's what her inspector said it would cost and anything higher she would have to go through her insurance in which she didn't want to do. I asked for the contact information of the inspector she used, turns out it was a lawn care company. I was successfully able to get in contact with the exact guy she had spoken with in which explained the situation from my end. Tammy's inspector she used had said there is no way he could do 3 treatments for $250 and it would cost more around $600 and instructed that he was unaware of the full store only hearing Tammy's side. After speaking with Tammy's inspector, he was very persistent on wanting to contact her to let her know $250 would not cover the cost it would be to treat the infected areas. I then contacted Tammy the owner of Other Mother again after giving it time for her inspector to call her back explaining the cost of what the treatment would actually be. After speaking with her, it was evident that she would only pay the $250 and nothing more. I also want to mention when discussing with Tammy, the owner of Other Mothers I did not expect them to pay the full cost, rather I was asking for 50/50 which seemed fair. If I were you, I WOULD NOT take the risk of shopping at this store considering she didn't hesitate to get defensive saying the bed bugs did not come from her store even after confirmed by an inspector and only treating the tiny area the dress was placed at rather then the whole store like it properly should have. If anyone knows anything about bed bugs, they spread fast and quickly and are always looking for new places to hide. I will not be taking my business back there and I hope for the sake of keeping your homes safe and bed bug-free you wouldn't either. The owner Tammy was very inconsiderate, rude, and unprofessional when it came to dealing with this very serious situation. I will never ever be back, what should have cost $8.99 for a dress ended up costing me $1250. Goes to show this store does not check their clothes properly before placing them back on the hanger to sell rather they just care about their business and not their customers who walk through that door. Has always been a great place to purchase well kept used items. I shopped there many times when my kids were growing up.

I have been shopping at Tammi's store since 1998. Tammi has always been very professional and friendly to me. I always look forward to coming to her store because her store is always clean and she takes pride on what she takes from her customers and sells to us. I love the selection of items in her store. I can always find what I am looking for. I would imagine it takes a lot to run a store like this. I would like to thank all of the wonderful parents/guardians that trust this store owner and bring in their awesome stuff so that we, the buyers, may have the opportunity to come in and find just the right stuff. As long as I have the need I will continue to visit Tammi's store. Completely disappointed. This is my second time bringing in items and I feel like I was completely ripped off BOTH times. Today I brought in a bouncer, a car seat with TWO bases (not even a year old), a jumper, a rocker, a sleeper (electronics never even used), a box of clothes, diapers and so much more AND THEY ONLY GAVE ME $64 FOR ALL OF IT!!!! If I wasn't desperate for a new carseat for my son, I would have told them to kick rocks. I would have gotten more money from selling my items on Facebook and could have gotten a brand new car seat with left over money. I suggest you take the time to just sell your items on a selling page instead of wasting your gas/time on this place. Last time I'll shop there for sure. read more

my daughter went to other mothers to trade out some clothes and the girl from the shop who help her take the bags out of the back of van also took a brand new play pen out of van. When my daughter realized the emp took the playpen out on accident she told them she would be back to pick it up with anything they did not trade. When my daughter went to pick up her items they did not want they told her they sold the playpen and gave her a $32 in store credit. That was a brand new $180 play pen that was not even used. The store told her there was nothing she could do about it and the manager was on vacation so there was no one she could talk to. As far as I can see other mothers just stole from my family. The employee my daughter talked to said she was the assistant manager and when you give permission it's anything you leave. So even if they take something from your car on accident and you call and tell them your coming back for it they just take it because they want it. Other mothers owes my a $180 playpen because they stole the brand new one I just got for my grandson. Do not shop or trade with other mothers. read more

I looooove this store! I would say that 90% of my little guys' clothes are from here! Very organized, clean, and lots of selection. The removable cloth in swings and other baby items are usually taken off & washed before items are put out on the sales floor. You don't find that added detail very often in consignment shops! Everything is reasonably priced and in good condition. Each time I visit I'm reminded that the employees are just amazing. Each staff member I've encountered over the last 3 years has been very kind, helpful, and knowledgable about what they have in stock and also about children gear in general. Definitely worth a visit. Plus, their .25 cent sales are an amazing concept! I dare you to go & not find something for your little ones! read more

I use other mothers all the time, to buy and to trade in. Before you leave item for trade in (yes, they call it trade in, not selling) you have to sign a form agreeing to their policies; if you don't like the policies, don't leave your stuff-it's simple. No fair getting mad after the fact because you didn't read the form. Selection is always best if you buy a season ahead, just like department stores; so don't wait until it snows to look for snow pants. Selection is also best the younger your kids are, let's face it, bigger kids are harder on their clothes. read more

I tried selling tons of BRAND NEW sets of baby clothes and baby gear here. More than 45 pieces of new with tags items. They offered me only $35. I declined, and sold it all as a lot on eBay (auction method) and sold it for $122.50!!! I suggest going the eBay route if you want to sell items or clothing that is like new, or with tags still on. read more

This place is a joke if your wanting to sell them your quality items. I went back the day after I left my items to see what they decided to purchase and they gave me a quote ONLY for I store credit. After I told them I did not want in store credit they said they only give cash for furniture and name brand items and only if requested before hand. So now whatever they wanted of my stuff was already tagged and put out on the shelves and possibly already sold so there was no way to see if it was a fair price for the items they kept because I had no idea what they decided they wanted. I had to settle for a third of the quoted in-store credit as cash because my daughter is now too old for the clothes that they had. The cashier said they carry juniors clothes so I took a look and the selection is even more of a joke! The other consignment stores in Spokane are way better, and at least they are fair. read more

Bait an Switch Alert!! Qtr sale gets you through the door but really everything has regular prices except for a room in the back that is full of piled up stuff (they don't want to go through lol). When I was there the room stunk like cigarette smoke so I was in for a second before I took my child out. The customer service wasn't great either. I went to purchase all my "regularly priced items" and while ringing them up they noticed an item wasn't marked so I was threw out a price and they proceeded to tell me how the product was "very expensive and brand new" so I had to wait for them to throw a price on it (double what I offered) and then I had to wait for them to zip tie and tag them... I was like "I don't need them zip tied and tagged she rudely said "if you are going to return them then they must be tagged". To make matter worse I got told a total and then the cashier was like "oh did you want the toy too." I got some cool stuff but there are many more places in Spokane with better customer service and prices. Also, to those who had the patience to read this comment do yourself a favor and stay away. This company stole clothes from me! They asked me to come back later and when I did, and didn't accept the offer they gave me, they said oh, well we've already tagged and mixed your things in. I could not believe this! I tried to find my things but after getting home, I remembered about 10 more things that they had taken.
