Othoniel and his team were amazing from start to finish. My wife and I own a very old house that fell into disrepair prior to us purchasing it, and it's been an uphill battle to get it back into some semblance of looking nice. One of the biggest issues we have had is the inordinate amount of junk that was accumulated by the prior owners (my grandparents who were amazing people BUT lived through the depression so definitely had a hoarding problem, as I'm sure one can easily picture.) We have already had two separate junk removal services from different companies prior to using Othoniel this time, and let me tell you I wish I had gone with him the last two times in addition to today. Huge pile of stuff that needed to be removed from our backyard, that I also ended up adding to as the removal progressed. On top of all of that though, I had a chain link fence around my pool that also needed to be removed. The metal posts were secured in separate sections of concrete all around the pool, and after attempting to get just one of them out by myself by digging down, breaking the concrete and then cutting the pole below the ground level so that it could easily be hidden by dirt pushed back over it, my body reminded me that I'm horribly out of shape and will probably collapse if I keep this up. Othoniel said he and his team could get the fence out of the ground and haul that away as well. Othoniel was quick to reach out to me when I was first requesting quotes from folks on here. He was pleasant and quoted me a fantastic price for all that I needed done. He was easily able to work around my schedule (I had to reschedule from the initial date we had set as I remembered I'd be out of town that day - not a problem for Othoniel at all.) He arrived on time and ready to go. The job ended up costing a little more than the original estimate, BUT even before they arrived I figured that would end up being the case (which is why the initial quote was just an estimate - hard to know how much work will be involved with taking down a chain link fence that's secured in concrete from just pictures.) Let me tell you, watching them work so tirelessly and so hard to take care of what I needed was nothing short of incredible. Honestly he probably could have easily charged me more than he did for how much work just getting that stupid fence out was, not to mention the junk removal THAT INCLUDED me adding to the pile as he was loading it up. No complaints about that, didn't even ask, he just saw me add stuff to the pile and loaded it up, no questions. But because of what he originally quoted me and due to his clear level of honestly and wanting to do right by his customer, he clearly chose not to go overboard and instead was very gracious and fair in the price increase, which was still an insanely good deal in my opinion. He was extremely nice, courteous, and professional the entire time, and managed to get everything done in just over two hours (which is just nuts considering how much stuff there was overall. I'm 100% certain we will find more random stuff that we will need to get rid of as time progresses, and I'm even more positive that I'll be calling Othoniel for his help when that time comes.
