OC cleanup did an amazing job on a garage cleanup for me today. To start they're very competitively priced as I got numerous quotes, and they were among the lowest.. brought a large truck and had a crew of I believe six or seven guys that just filled it up and cleaned decades of junk in under an hour. Overall, I would give 4+ stars. Here is breakdown on why: Service Requested. 5 stars. Retained OC Cleanup to remove broken refrigerator from my son's 2nd floor apartment building. Quality. 5 stars. When I sent out request for bidders they were professional and responded promptly. Their bid was within the expected budget. They gave me a 2 hour window on the expected pick up time and they arrived as projected. Value. 3 stars. I had three minor issues here. First, the bid was for $179. But the driver told my 19 year old son that he wanted $180 cash. Second, the driver failed to tell my son that paying by credit card was an option. Granted, I learned after the fact there was an additional fee to pay by credit card, but I wanted to utilize that option for payment. I called their office to express concern and they apologized and offered a discount for the next project---but I don't think we will need their services in the future. Finally, the driver failed to give my son an invoice/receipt for services. I texted their office later that afternoon [through the Yelp portal] to request one and they emailed with no problem. So in the end things worked out, but I wish it could have been handled better. Despite these glitches I would still recommend their services but customers need to make it clear what method of payment would be. read more

Leo was honest, responsive and was able to haul away an entire truck full same day. I contacted other junk removal companies via Yelp but they were either quick to quote without understanding what was needed or were already done for the day at 2pm. We spoke with owner on speaker phone he quoted $165-195 I agreed it was Sunday afternoon when they arrived with a FULL truck proceeded to tell me it would be $390 when I spoke with owner he tried to fast talk me saying things he didn't say regarding services. Also said my husband can explain the difference in truck bed size to me! He was deceptive and condescending to us. I had canceled other services using him I had to get foliage removed as bugs in moisture. $165 for half of what he said he would take over the phone NEVER saying he needed to see job before committing to his price! He tried to tell me my daughter didn't hear this correctly again speaker as I was driving His truck was so full there was no way they could take anything else. It wasn't a lot but enough that I was comfortable paying to have removed. No I do NOT recommend his services. Oh he said he could give me a deal on the rest that needed to be hauled! Again I paid $165.00 for tree debris already cut up and piled in 4 ft area to be removed. read more

It all began when Felipe visited to provide an estimate, and he observed, similar to my other contractors, that the entrance for the bobcat was quite limited at 36 inches. He confirmed that his bobcat also measures 36 inches, which I was already aware of. However, he examined the gas meter, which was protruding, and suggested that the great miracle worker Salvador might maneuver the bobcat through by slightly adjusting the meter and squeezing it in just enough. It impressed me because the other contractors had stated that it was impossible and that we would need to demolish the six-foot wide block wall on the other side of my house and reconstruct it afterward. I was not fond of that option because of the expense and time involved. When the skilled and incredible Salvador and his crew began their work, their method of tackling the job amazed me. They seemed genuinely happy and enjoyed their tasks. I have a feeling that the energetic Mr. Salvador set up a competition to discover the best performer of the day, potentially offering a prize for their hard work. Its remarkable, to see them work together effortlessly and at a tremendous pace. Certainly, I have to acknowledge my God for leading me to Master Demolition, as I would never have discovered such a team of workers without His guidance.

One for service, four for merchandise…read more After I bought something, they never offered to help carry it out despite it being an awkward piece. At every HfH I've ever been to which is now 7, this and the San Jose store have the same level of I don't care type service. I asked if I could use a cart, they say yeah and pointed to them. I tried to put it in the cart and the top fell because it's awkward. They laughed at me, rather than HELP a customer. I stood up and said do you guys help people to their car? The woman, who had a nasty attitude from jump said to the man "do we still help people to their car?" (they are nowhere near closing time) and he said yes. He carried one half I carried the other. He didn't say a word. He also had laughed after she said something when I dropped the top. Not sure what's going on in her world that's she is so unhappy and needs to project it onto others while at work, and disappointed in him for following her lead, but in any case, that is never how you should treat a human or any customer. We had zero exchange prior, so not sure where her energy is coming from but not ok to emit negativity. The merchandise is nice. They have a good selection and pricing is reasonable. Small location so probably have to catch these guys early to get the hot items. Parking is limited. Not sure I'll be back, there were two other very nice women I interacted with that were super helpful. One Filipina I believe and one maybe white or latina and tall. The woman behind the register was latina short story and the gentleman was tall dark haired and also Latino. Sharing as I imagine the head manager of it's not that woman may want to know. The gentleman who helped also seemed like he was the manager so there's that. Hopefully someone in charge with some mature sense can read this and coach them to be better humans.

They had decent prices on most of the furniture and a lot of things were on sale. I walked away empty handed but still interesting to look around. Can't say much about the customer service since we weren't greeted or approached by anyone, and I didn't really need anything anyway.

I found Orange County Rescue Mission and I love the support they provide for the community so I decided I wanted to give my donations to them. Orange County Rescue Mission is open Friday to Wednesday from 8am-5pm, Closed Thursdays. They have a convenient area for you to drive up, and their volunteers are super nice and will be more than happy to help you lift and unload your donations. Donation receipts available upon request.

I've previously had my donations picked up, or gone to donation bins, or dropped a few things off at Goodwill. Orange County Rescue Mission has a drive thru drop-off for your donations. I had 5 boxes, so a lovely gentleman brought a bin on wheels over and helped me put my boxes inside. He asked if I would need a receipt for my taxes but I politely declined. I do believe the items I donated had good value but I don't have much experience with taxes and previous receipts I've gotten usually end up missing by tax season. Prior to donating my things, I was able to go on their website and see exactly what items they accept. This helped a LOT because there were actually a lot of items I wouldn't have even considered donating like unused toiletries. I would probably try to give them to a family member or a friend of perhaps end up just tossing it away. I'm really glad they provide a list of acceptable items for donating!! I hope other people who wish to donate items really do READ lists such as this one, so they are aware of what can be donated. I just remembered people from my past who would try to donate opened foods, & insisted they were still good because they were non-perishables. Some people just don't know you can't donate ANYTHING. I don't understand people who donate things that they wouldn't use, if the same or similar item were donated to them (in the same manner). Some behaviors are perplexing. Anyway!! I LOVE this place and I'm currently working on filling up another 3 boxes. I'll have to go buy some more boxes so I can start sorting through my storage unit as well!! I do have a few questions on some items and what condition they must be in to be accepted for donation. I'm pretty sure they had a number on the same page that I could call and ask, which I will be doing, just haven't gotten around to it yet! I'm really happy I found this place & recommend others to donate items & volunteer here if they have the time! (:

If you follow me, you know that I'm a big fan of thrifting, and in particular I enjoy Goodwill…read morelocations. It was my first time at this location, but it has a drop-off area in the back (which we used to unload before we went in and reloaded) and a large store area in the front with a decent of items. My daughter goes for the clothes, while I go more for electronics and vinyl, and this location had a bit of everything that we were looking for. I'll be back soon, hope to see you here. :)

I got the testing done, it came back positive for asbestos. I panicked. I called Pacific Environmental for an estimate on the job. Armando and Arturo came out to assess the job and provide with me with a quote. To my surprise, the price was only slightly higher than the regular remediation company. I was pleasantly surprised by the affordability. Additionally, they promised me the job would be completed in 1 day! WOW! This would be best case scenario. The office staff was also very kind and helpful with prompt estimate and response time. Today was the day of the job, I was very anxious and worried due to the fact that my parent's house is very old. The job supervisor, two workers and Arturo came out to ensure that everything would be okay! They did a superior job, kept everything clean, taped off all areas and did a great job with containment! I am so grateful to the PEAS team, now I can breathe easy and I am so relieved! I highly recommend this company for any abatement project. Great price, great customer service and great quality work!
