TAYLOR C. IN SOUTH JORDAN: Okay so I've had expensive full row hair extentions for 5 years now and have NEVER had someone perform such an incredible, solid install as Taylor C. did! It's the VERY 1ST TIME IN OVER 5 YEARS that I've NEVER had my edges come loose or had a string come undone and had to stop back in between my move ups! I thought that was a "normal" part of my in-between appt. upkeep! Taylor does such incredible work; My extensions blend seamlessly and I can wear my hair up without any fear whatsoever of my ends coming loose! I really enjoyed this hair salon. I went here a few times and got just a regular woman's haircut for long hair. The stylist were always really great and give me the exact haircut that I wanted. The salon is beautiful. It was just a little bit too far of a drive for me to get consistent haircuts. read more

As someone who has come here basically since they opened and for years was here once a week I can confidently tell you that my opinion and review is the only one that matters. I have seen a handful of the stylists (maybe 50% at least) and have had various services across the group. Everyone is talented and kind. Don't like someone? They have so many stylists to choose from! Speak up if you want something or not. I have never had less than a great experience. While the salon has very skilled stylists and luxury products, sometimes your experience outcome depends on you knowing what you want and communicating. I can have challenged hair and have always seen each one do so great. For all the one off scenarios in the world that would matter (ie illegal practices), one little one off should not be your ruling factor for everything especially not here where they are exceptional in all areas of their business and standards. read more

This salon is amazing! It is beautiful with gorgeous chandeliers. There are massaging recliners at the hair washing station and it's so relaxing. The services I've received have all been with Master stylist and Aesthetician, Roberta. She is so experienced and awesome. I got micro needling and a chemical peel which made my skin so soft and reduced my pore size. Also, Roberta colors and cuts my hair. I would recommend this salon and Roberta. :) read more

Don't bother even trying to make an appointment here. Nobody actually works for this company. I've tried four times to get in to get my hair cut and every time they call the day of, to reschedule you later and later in the day. They gave the same excuse twice in a row, almost to the point it felt like their customer service rep was reading from a script. They don't have any respect for their customer's time. (Which is rich considering their cancellation policy requires you to pay if you had to reschedule on an hour's notice.) read more

I had my appointment with Starr, and she did not disappoint! After having some bad experiences at another salon, this experience was a saving grace. I am getting married in two months and came to Ottalaus Salon in hopes of getting my hair back to its beautiful natural dark brown state. Starr color matched my previously dyed hair to my roots perfectly, and gave some great suggestions of products to better take care of my hair. I'm excited to come back for a touch up and extensions before the wedding! read more

This salon is not requiring patrons to wear masks and staff only wears them if a patron requests it. When I walked in front desk staff had no mask on. When I asked why they weren't requiring masks I was told "yeah well you know the mask mandate is over but you can request your stylist wear one". No thanks. That doesn't feel safe yet as there is still a pandemic raging around the world and not everyone has had a chance to be vaccinated yet. I would have liked to have been told over the phone when setting my appointment that patrons aren't wearing masks. It would have informed my decision to come here at all during this time. Maybe another time. The salon is very nice inside though and it would be great to visit under better circumstances. One thing nice about this salon is they sell high end product. For those who are still needing places requiring patrons and staff to wear masks there are still salons that are requiring masks for everyone in the area. It was a regular weekday when my niece had informed me she wanted a haircut. Out of the blue and unlike her as recently after the new culture shock of moving from a big city to a small town had been weighing on her spirit. We immediately searched social media for #Southjordanhair stylists and Sarah popped up. Sarah's Instagram page was full of women whose crowns had been blessed by her talents - they had lucious curls and beautiful cuts and color that showed not only did she know what she was doing but she was an expert in her craft. A beautician and a magician all at once. When we arrived the salon was warm and inviting, a sweet woman was in training and though the salon was calm and quiet what we overheard was delightfully kind at the front desk. Sarah welcomed My niece back and began to work her magic, after asking her questions about what she had in mind she washed her hair and began the cut. The conversation was as if Sarah knew the journey she'd been on before she sat down though I can confirm I hadn't mentioned anything prior to our appointment. I sat nearby and was able to chat with her as well. She didn't skip a beat the woman is a samurai with scissors. Haircut haircut was over I saw a smile that I probably hadn't seen in over a year. When we left the salon I asked her what she said and she said this is hands-down the best I have ever felt leaving a salon in my entire life. She couldn't stop smiling and running her fingers through her hair. She sheepishly said to me it makes me want to come back every day and get a haircut. Sarah is more than a 10/10. Finding Ottalaus Salon in South Jordan was the equivalent of finding a diamond ring in a modern day Cracker Jack box. We can't wait to go back. read more

If I could leave 10 stars I would!! I have never had a better stylist in my life and I am 48 years old ha! I have really short hair and Stevvie is very talented and meticulous in my haircuts and partial highlights. I just love my hair each time I come in for a cut.
