I've been to this place a few times and each time Miguel does an amazing job transforming my look. He knows what suits a person's look. If I was rating this place on his services, it would definitely be a 5 star spot. The only concern (pretty big one) I have with this place is the fact that customers are not required to wear a mask, nor the employees. Not a safe decision for anyone during COVID. Well? My hair is fried it's a continual rat's nest in the back despite combing it out from the bottom up gently everyday and wearing it in a bonnet every night when I go to bed it's so dry from the perm that it just is super brittle and continuously breaks. I had a haircut with my perm that cost me $25 and all I see everyday when I wake up is split ends and frizz and dry. I'm honestly just disappointed because I've gotten perms there before and they came out beautiful. This time is an exception I think and I'm not really sure what's going on with my hair but I just know that it's fried. And the haircut that I got didn't even come close to getting all the split ends. It's a cute little salon it's interesting atmosphere but my hair is fried and I'm disappointed. read more

Such a shame that the owner has to lie to cover herself. I have been going here for over 3 years seeing the same person (Hanah). Every month after my appointment, Hanah wrote down my name and number for the next month's appointment. I walk in today for my scheduled appointment just to find out that Hanah is no longer working there. The owner told me that she couldn't call me because she didn't have my number and nothing was written down.... WRONG! That same time another gentleman came in and asked for Hanah, the owner tells him that Hanah was no longer there and proceeds to tell him that "negotiations" failed, then suddenly changed her story and said that she did something unethical to and had to be let go. She (the owner) had to protect her business. There are so many things I have heard from a lot of the hair stylest there regarding the owner, that have all left because of the owner. Maybe the owner needs to look at herself before she starts saying lie about her past employees. Will I go back to Salon 21, oh hell no! read more

BEWARE!!!! I asked for strawberry blonde, and got ORANGE!!! I went in hoping for a pick me and instead left with a disgusting-bright orange color at the roots and awful red, with bad weaving of very little blonde. My stylist also never weaved the blonde evenly, I was missing any blonde color from the entire bottom-half of my hair. I'm so disappointed and expected more. I have very long hair and haven't dyed it in more than 15 years and I left feeling awful about myself, staying in all weekend, until I could go to another salon and get it fixed. So, after paying $250. for this visit and another $300 for a color correction with a MUCH better salon, I was at a whopping $550. This does not even include all of the restoration products I had to buy now that my hair is shot! My correction stylist was taken back by all of the damage and mistakes made by the previous girl. After this whole event, the other girls kept going out of their way, saying how pretty the color was, which was obviously a front from the whole obvious hair botch! The best part, was after the whole ordeal, another girl straightened my hair and burned my scalp with the hair dryer while pulling my hair out, and never apologized. I left almost in tears, giving myself a chance to see if I could accept the color, but didn't make it home, since I was already in tears. I immediately called and the first lady said they were too busy to see me again, I demanded my stylist, and she wasn't even apologetic, instead, it was more 'well you can come back'. No way! I went here because the girl had cut my hair before and friends go to her, but this was such a horrible experience, people need to be careful if they want color. read more

If I could give no stars, this review would be it. My daughter was looking for pink and black hair. They told the lady a few days before, but when they showed up at the appointment time, she still had another 30 min left from a prior client. Should have just walked out, but nope. So she bleached my blonde daughters curly hair, put the only shade of pink on that they had (which was NOT the shade we had shown pictures of previously), and died the top blue black which is not what my daughter had said she wanted. There is chunks of hair in the pink that are black. The pink didn't even hold worth anything. She fried my daughters hair for NO reason. We are NEVER going back here. I have been coming to this Salon since it was introduced to me by a friend in 2009. I regret waiting as long as I have to write this review as I have never once received a bad hair cut or bad service from the wonderful staff at Salon 21. My complaint is with another lady that worked there who never put on a mask and told her client she could take hers off too. Salon 21 is great. The staff is very attentive, skillful, and knowledgeable. I have been going there for years and can't find a better place for an executive male haircut and color. I also dont like having to "do" my hair every day & put a bunch of products in it. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!!!! I passed for a horrible experience yesterday at that place. I don't know about hair cuts but they have no experience doing highlights. I went there only to retouch my highlights ( my hair length was completely blond) i explained to the stylist 1000 times that i just wanted retouch my highlights...is that so hard to understand???? for them, yes!!!! She put bleach on all over my scalp and turned my roots completely yellow and my scalp was BURNING!!!!!!!!! I got there at 10 in the morning and stayed there until 05:00 pm ..the owner tried to fix it and got it even worse...i was blond and now i have 5 different colors in my hair...i lost a game at night because i was so sick about it and now i have sores in my scalp.... they are such incompetent and irresponsible people!!!!! read more

The prices are actually really reasonable but the quality of work is unsatisfactory. I paid for a haircut and that included a wash I know because last time they washed my hair and cut it and this time they didn't wash my hair or even spray it .
