Service was pretty attentive and our waitress was phenomenal and really upbeat and sweet. They were on it with the refills too. I really thought the kids would love their food, but they just picked at it during the dinner. What kid says no to waffle fries and a hot dog? Apparently the hot dog looked to juicy? lol. My french fry loving son, had no issues with his fries but skipped the chicken nuggets. My poor husband had to polish off whatever was not eaten by our kids after he ate his burger and poutine. I had the plantbased burger and I had no complaints. I will say their pickles are really great on the burger and loved their house sauce that came on it as well. Their fries are on the meatier side and I only ate a couple and passed the rest on to the kids, since the burger was pretty filling on its own. They had toy story playing on the tv in the restaurant. Super cute. It was pretty pricey coming to around $100 after everything was paid out. I'd probably come back for some apps and small bites in the future when visiting in town.

Music is noticeable but not overpowering, supplementing the many conversations going on around us. Wait staff were on the ball and just generally really nice people! Lots of mix and match burger options, including chicken and vegan proteins. You select your burger, protein, type of bun including gluten free, and any customizations. The waitress pointed out one element on the burger I wanted on a GF bun would have gluten and suggested removing it, which I appreciated. Lots of drink options too. This is, overall, a 'something for everyone' experience.

So we pulled up and ordered the chili, and while we were at it, hubby surprised me with a smoked meat sandwich. This was a big beef day for us! The smoked meat was served with mustard on rye bread. The sandwich was overloaded with delicious meat! It was great!! We shared half and half. The chili came with plain white hot dog buns as a side (yuck!), and on top of the chili was a thick layer of chunks of cheese (yum!!). The chili was thick and rich, tasty at first, but I've got to say it was too spicy for me; I couldn't finish it all! The last thing I want to mention is how the drive through works: you order at one of those boards with a menu on it, and a speaker & microphone in it. Then you pull through to a window to pay. Lastly, you pull up to another window to pick up your order. This is all built on a slight incline, do the server has to lift the food over their head to give it to you.

Gigantic menu as you can see from Blues Burger to Trump Burger with every "Cease and Desist" name variation you'll be able to figure out. Staff was fine, no problems there. We sat outside, close to the windows in order to enjoy a panhandler-free dinner. Tried out a chicken salad of some type along with the Blues burger. Took them up on the offer to convert my fries to poutine. Everything was OK. Staff has the bill on a handheld machine, pay at the table and you're off for more fun downtown. There are so many burgers on that menu and you can build your own. They even have non-beef options and that gluten-free thing going on as well.

We were stared at in a funny way and it took a while for the hostess to greet us. Shorter dark-haird woman. We were told to come back in 30 minutes, because of some tables not being ready. I've got two well behaved boys who're hungry, so we distract them at the nearby park. After 30 minutes we returned, my family and I to finally celebrate, and with 6 open tables we could sit together. But instead of taking any time to help us, arranging any tables, the hostess stares at my family and I, and not only ask us to leave but says something on the line of "...You guys won't get good service." I never learned her name, she never introduced herself, and after driving 2 hours out to have this burger, I feel like not only did I waste my time, but my visiting family as well's time was wasted. It felt like we couldn't be served because we wanted food, while everyone else wanted to read inside the restaurant on their hoity-toity Mac books. Very disappointed.

The first think I noticed were the wall murals of Don Cherry, Doug Gilmour and the Tragically Hip. Otherwise, it looks like any other takeout joint. We were the only customers in the place, and the one person working was busy preparing orders placed online. He happily greeted us and asked if we knew what we wanted, but we hadn't yet. We eventually decided on combo #2 which the cheeseburger and poutine. The poutine was ready first, and it was - average. I was expecting something more, but it honestly wasn't any better than what I could get from a NY Fries (actually I like the fries at NY fries better). On the other hand the cheeseburger was pretty good. I only read after that the King St location might be better. I guess I'll try that location next time, if I'm in Kingston, but I'll keep my expectations in check.
