We went in on a chilly Sunday night and this place was so incredibly busy! We were seated at the patio because there was no space inside, and we were grateful for the blankets on the chairs and the hot water that we were served, because it instantly warmed us up. We tried the Veggie Classic with waffle fries and The Main with regular fries -- both tasted fantastic and the fries were SO delicious. You have to specifically order your pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, onions on the burgers; otherwise, they won't be served. Our service was quite friendly and we felt full despite not being able to be seated inside.

All booth seating inside. Condiments station set up for COVID sanitation in the middle.

Overall was more of a 3.5 based on the food, but rounded up to 4. Not only were we in the mood for a burger place for dinner, but we saw the high ratings on Yelp and knew we had to try this place. We could tell by the number of patrons compared to all the other places we passed that it was probably our best option. The outdoor seating was full but it was getting a bit chilly going into 8 p.m. so we were happy to take a booth inside. All indoor seating was booths along the sides of the walls and was very comfortable. Service was friendly and excellent, 5 stars for that. We didn't have to ask for water which came promptly with the server on his first trip to our booth. We took a few minutes to browse the menu which consisted of about a dozen versions of burgers (including vegan and gluten free options). You choose the patty size (6, 8 or 10 oz; add surcharge for 8 and 10 oz options), the bun (including pretzel and gluten free choices), and can customize your toppings. My daughter and I went with La La Land and Smokehouse burgers and hub went with a Kingston all beef hot dog (with cheese). Price range was $16 to $19 for the combos before burger patty upsize surcharges and includes choice of fries/waffle fries/salad/cole slaw or you can upgrade your side to poutine or onion rings. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her La La Land on a pretzel bun and regular fries. The toppings included goat cheese, avocado spread and roasted red pepper. Choice of condiments includes sriracha and I think soy sauce along with typical mustard and ketchup so my daughter was able to add sriracha to her liking. My Smokehouse included double smoked cheddar and hickory bacon. The fresh lettuce, tomato, red onion and pickle were fantastic, as was the pretzel bun. I did find as some other reviews did that the patty was overcooked so that was disappointing. The edges were crispy and it was not juicy. I had waffle fries which were very hot and good texture but I caught a current of oil getting past its prime so between that and the overcooked patty and bacon I can give 4 stars for the food at best. My own burger I'd have to downgrade to a 3 because of the patty (most important part of a burger after all). I had a bite of hubby's dog and it was juicy and flavourful. It most certainly is a better value than Burger's Priest with a much better ambience so this is where I'd otherwise set the bar with gourmet burgers. The selection of alcoholic beverages is also pretty impressive and you can get spiked floats and shakes as well. We weren't in the mood for any but the list was inspiring. Hub did get a regular root beer float which was served with the bottled Dad's root beer on the side which is great presentation in my book. Bill payment was prompt but you can only use the percentage option on tips with electronic payment. I don't like this option as it calculates on top of taxes so you have to do your own good math if you want to account for that. Would give it another try.

Excellent staff - very friendly and accommodating, especially during covid times. Unique variety of burgers on their menu!

Best burger I've had in ages! The meat was well seasoned, juicy and had those nice crispy bits around the edges. It's everything you could want in a burger. Their fries are equally good. You can custom make your own burger so there's a multitude of choices to make your ideal burger come to fruition. Service was prompt and food came out pretty quickly. I'd definitely go back.

I recommend them to everyone and it is my go to place every I have 1h to stop and eat when I am going to Montreal from Toronto. Their gourmet burgers are great with VG and gluten free option and some kids menu, so you are all set regardless of your family member's preferences :)

I was excited about coming here. Waitress was great. Ambience was good on the patio. Good choices of burgers. 12, and a make your own selection. I chose number 12 and u fortunately the cook overdid them. Just shy of burnt. I know you have to be careful with burger buuuut. Ruined. I still tipped as usual but not sure I'll be back.

Loved our experience here! Great service and amazing burgers! The burger patties were to die for, clearly they take pride in their homemade burgers. My husband got #13 (2 grilled cheese sandwiches as the bun!) He loved it but only able to eat half. The gourmet fries were amazing too! YUM - I can see why this place was on the how "You Gotta Eat Here"!!

Good local burgers and sliders. Especially the one with the fried cheese curds! The poutine didn't have enough gravy. And the gravy was too mild in flavor. I had the same issue with the cheese curds. The service here was very prompt and friendly. I would come back for another burger and get a different side dish.

Good joint with a fun atmosphere. The place is casual for a fun first date or just a spot to chill out with some bros. The place was packed and we did needed to wait for 15 minutes but that wasn't a problem. We came here for FebFest so we had two sliders and a glass of beer for $10. People mention the prices here are inflated which could definitely deflate ratings by a star. The food itself was tasty and creative with all the variety of toppings and condiments they offer. I do want to comment on the milkshake as it was tasty and had chocolate chips which made it nice to have something to chew on. Not too sweet and had enough mint - definitely a good choice as a dessert drink at the end of the meal. Burgers had good beef and everything was fresh.

    Looked like raindrops.

A slightly higher than your usual burger joint that serves beer & wine! Tip: Wines are listed by mL, so the 250mL was like 2-3 glasses. (I underestimated the size.) Patties aren't the frozen variety, fries are handcut, gravy seemed homemade, & so are the desserts. I'd say the average burger was ~$15, so it ain't a cheap place, folks. A slice of cheesecake was $7! Fries were REALLY GOOD and did not taste greasy. Poutine was pretty good as well WITH squeaky cheese curds. Despite having a bad experience with pretzel buns (the first & last one I had was hard), Harper's got their version right! And it was soft as well. So don't hesitate if you're like me and also have had previous bad experiences with them. Because of the price, I'd say this place is more like a one-time place/treat, at least for me! Dinner for 2ppl, including wine + dessert was $52.

The place is open and bright wherever you sit, whether on the outdoor patio, downstairs by the bar, or upstairs. Service was excellent. My reservation was smoothly handled, and my server took good care of me. I got offeres some bread and butter after I ordered, which was really a nice surprise. The offered breads were seeded, ollve, and rustic style. All delicious, especially with the sweet butter. For the main meal, I got a half dozen oysters, an order of cha gio and their Ahi Dragon Noodle Salad. The cha gio were crispy, not greasy, sweet and savoury. The oysters were super fresh, sweet and a good size. Along with the usual condiments, they included pickled red onion, which is the first time I've ever had this. I really enjoyed the acidic sweet bite enhancing the sweetness of the oysters. The Ahi Dragon Noodle Salad had microgreens, red cabbage, red and green and yellow sweet pepper, red chili pepper, edamame, coriander, green onions, and fried parsnip chips. The Ahi was charred on the outside, fresh and meaty. I appreciate that the sesame oil, soy sauce and hint of chili on the perfectly chewy noodles was separate from the veggies. The vegetables had a very clean flavour, but I would have liked something more, maybe a touch of citrus. A glass of good wine rounded out the whole experience. I was way too full at the end of the meal to even contemplate dessert. All in all, a great meal, and I would return any time.

We were seated and given menus, but no one came by to take our order for quite a while. Eventually, the hostess came over. I mistakenly assumed she was our server, but she clarified that she wasn't and said she'd take our drink order to help out while we waited. Only part of our drink order arrived, and nothing else followed. After waiting 40 minutes without anyone taking our food order, we decided to leave. As we were walking out, the server offered to rush something to us, but by then, none of us felt like waiting any longer. It was confusing and frustrating that, with so few customers, no one was able to take our order during that entire time. We have always enjoyed the food but this visit did not work out.

The decoration around the restaurant is super creative -- the salt and pepper are inside glass lightbulbs and our water was served inside jumbo measuering cups. The portions are perfect and the burgers were delicious -- juicy and savoury. They have an option to go with whole wheat, multigrain buns with sesame which I highly recommend. Their sweet potato fries, even though they were less than the bottomles fries, came at about $2 extra but I think they are worth the extra money. Each burger dish & side also averaged out to be approximately $22. Their drinks are quite expensive though. Also no wifi for customers which was disappointing!
