Just stay away. The facility is run-down and poorly managed. It's difficult to reach them and we've had 3 rate increases in 3 years for totaling more than 45%. The worst part is they are charging us MORE than the price they advertise online for the same size space. When I called them, they tried to explain that I should pay more than the prices they advertise online because I've been there 3 years! What??!! They do NO maintenance so we have to go pull weeds from around our camper and fish tumbleweeds from underneath our camper. I have had my storage unit at this place since January 2023 and our rent started at $59 per month for a 10x20' unit. While the facility is clean on the outside, they have a TON of mice, which I believe is normal for a storage, so every time we go out there, we leave our offerings (stack of DECON wafers) for them, and the next time we go out, the pile is gone. So after a year, we now have left over wafers, so I don't think there are any more mice. As far as the company, I Calculated that they have raised the rent every 7 months by approximately $40 each time. Just yesterday, they sent me another email where they are going to raise it another $37, going from $249 to $286. They claim that it's "Due to increasing costs associated with providing you the best possible self-storage experience, we find it necessary to increase your rate at this time.". Well this is more than 15% increase for cost of living for each year, while the average cost of living is approximately 2-4% per year in America. In my opinion, these people are GREEDY and don't care whatsoever about their customers, as long as they can keep raising their rent 1.5 times per year. read more

Just received a notice from Otter that rates are going up over 25%, for a unit that has NO security on site. They evicted all of their RV storage, and now don't have the money to build the new 'rows of indoor storage'. What idiots cut their income by half, then raise the rates on everyone else, since they lost 1/2 of their income? Must have been Wharton Business school grads- Actually, I doubt that they graduated 6th grade. Have been locked out numerous times, due to their less than stellar bitch in charge of otter rentals. She is a piece of work - and doesn't care that wasting 30-45 min of a client's time DOES NOT PROMOTE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Drives people to find someplace else. With all of the other units around, Otter can go out of business, and someone with some sense can buy it for pennies on the dollar. After all, really hard to sell an 'income producing business' when you have little to no income, yet still have the mortgage. read more

Things are getting a lot better here, they installed new cameras and increased security, for the price you can't beat it.

Their takeover did not go well. Rent raised immediately. I went from 110 to 145. They wanted a copy of my license but did not ask for , instead revoked my code with a message of "please see manager". Mind you they are contactless with no manager on site. Therefore I could not get access to my RV. THEN the gate was down for over a week. (With only one working gate.) Now that I got my RV out. Awful!! Horrible!!! We had a lovely facility, that was secure, with working gates and access pads. The staff was friendly and we had storage doors that stayed up. Sadly, the owners sold first to Cube Smart and the facility began going down hill. Nothing though compared to when Otter bought the facility and took over management. The first thing they did was remove an attendant from the area. Yep, they did that, but it gets better. They neglected to replace the light bulbs in the lighting down the rows of the outdoor units. SCARY!!! The door to our unit has required a broom handle to keep it up way back since Cube Smart was managing it and Otter has no intentions of doing anything about it. Then they refused to fix a gateway key pad on the inside of the entrance gate so the exit for the main entrance of the building was out for the count. They didn't fix the keypad but what they did do was change everyone's access codes. You guessed it, no notice provided, so when visiting your unit...SURPRISE!!!! "CODE INVALID" flashes before you as you finger punch the numbers in over and over again while leaning out of your car window! Call the friendly customer service reps at the main corporate number because there is no one left local to do anything about it. The first gentleman we reached to gain access to our unit left us locked in the unit behind the gates because the code he so graciously gave us was apparently temporary... oops, failed to mention that. So guess what... another call to the corporate line. The icing on the cake? All rental rates increased, wait for it....more than 100% on their units in the last month. Rental on my unit went from $184 a month to $368 for the same unit! They weren't even kind enough to try to hide it in fees. Nope, just a slap across the face HERE YOU GO WE MORE THAN DOUBLED YOUR RENT, by the way you have 5 days to pay your bill or the lock will be cut, and your items will begin being "inventoried" for auction! I know this was a long review but I hope it serves as a warning to others. Now in the middle of a move that has been carefully orchestrated by a household of females, I am forced to also coordinate relocating all of my belongings that are at the property managed by Otter to another more reputable facility. Also, a little hint. The glowing 5 star review that is at the top of the Google Reviews was regarding this center but based on the services by the amazing management that owned the facility originally... 7 YEARS AGO! This is a horrible company to work with. They won't reimburse money that is owed to us. We pulled our camper out of that run down storage lot. Otter just took over Cubesmart at this location. Within 30 days sent letters raising rent. I pay $122 for the smallest spot. The place is in disrepair There are weeds growing that are bad for mice and they get into your RV or boat. They allow junk to be stored here, leaking fluids etc Large construction trucks..seems shady.. Rock on ground has not been replaced so there are deep trenches forming. No dump station. No electricity. Gate is sometimes broken. The new company does not care about customers. I was emailed by them that I did not pay so I had to set up auto pay once again. I emailed someone there who said she would set it up. Never heard from her. I figured out how to do it online but it isn't working so 2nd month I get notice my code is revoked and I have no access to my RV and I have been charged a fee. I am beyond frustrated as I've tried to get hold of them by phone and email. In summary there's no customer service. Beware coming here if you want to store. There is a facility right behind them that is beautiful and roughly same prices. I am moving out as soon as I can get this straightened out. read more
