Easy online booking and great rate with lock. Only had 1 issue once I got there but i was told what to do by the customer service agent to get my lock. I had left a message for the property manager to figure it out how to get my lock and paperwork but I didn't know she had left to take care of other business at another location. We only needed to rent a storage unit for a short period while we were cleaning out our house for an upcoming move. Jennifer D. was extremely helpful and made the transition easy. She gave us great tips and was extremely friendly. The unit was easy to find and just what we needed. Lastly, we were allowed to keep the heavy duty lock when we left which was a nice touch. They take two days to take a payment out of your account at weird times of the night and then will be quick to charge ridiculous fees, meanwhile, they've charged me $230 a month for a unit with a caved-in ceiling and a broken light fixture for two years - I mentioned it a few times and they never fixed it. Quick to cut off my lock and threaten to auction my things if I was late on a payment though! And they've charged me for another month although I told them I was done with the unit last month and moved my things out. Go elsewhere! read more

Tried to transfer units. Manager told me that I can't get money back on my current unit that I'm renting because I didn't select transfer. I asked if she could just change the reservation for me and she said no that she can change the move in dates and cancel the reservation, no, I need my money back not my times and dates changed. Now I have to eat the cost because they wont simply refund me my prorated amount for unused space. Not a good business practice. They are lucky I'm desperate for cheap storage or I'd absolutely take my stuff elsewhere read more

The prices are deceiving and I didn't even get a full month before my second payment was due! And my third month is waaaay more then the second and first month plus they have an app and so many gate codes and access code boxes their hours are inconvenient they should be 24 hours for the prices they are charging wish I would have done more research but inconvenient situations every company feeds off of read more

Just setup a small 5x10 unit. Pricing is a little deceiving. There is an admin fee for $24 and you need insurance which starts at $11/month. I wish these places would state this up front and not when you are finalizing the unit. Jennifer was nice and helpful in getting things set up. Just disappointed with the hidden fees. read more

Let me begin by saying I am a reasonable person and I don't write one star reviews very often. I'm in between leases so I had to utilize a storage company by the house where I was staying until my new place was ready for move in. I agreed to $167 for a 10x10 unit and they told me that whenever I needed to cancel my lease, just to let them know and they would take care of me. Yeah right. First off, online prices for units are so much cheaper than when I went in to the actual location and got a quote. Online prices for the same unit were $90-$110 per month. You'd think that customer service would be gung ho about helping regular people save money but as usual they're interested only in your money and couldn't care if it inconveniences you. When I worked in customer service, I'd say "hey! I found a coupon for you! Let's get that applied and save you some money." It's sad that most businesses lack common courtesy and real customer service because quite honestly, I feel like public storage ripped me off. My new lease starts the 8th of February and I wasn't able to secure it any sooner. Apparently I have to pay for an entire month because I'm not vacating within the first few days of the month. I asked if there's anything I could do. I would be more than happy to pay the the prorated amount due for the first 8 days, even a little more if need be to avoid paying for a whole month but the manager said "there's nothing I can do." How is there nothing you can do? It's a STORAGE UNIT not the lease for a house! He even said to me "even if you call corporate there's absolutely nothing we can do. That's just the way it is." So then I get to pay for a full month of rent since I have nowhere to put my things until I get my home just because I'm moving out a couple days too late. I think this is an asinine way to run a business and "if this is the way it is" then I hope your business suffers until you change your ways, Public Storage. read more

I rented my first ever storage unit from Public Storage last month. The entire process was quick and easy. Reserving my unit online was easy. After my online reservation was complete, I got a call from the office confirming my reservation and asking what time I would like to view the unit and sign papers. From the start Gary was amazing! When I reached the storage facility I found it in good repair and clean. The price is comparable to those in the area. I'd say it's worth giving Public Storage a try. One last thing to mention is you can buy your lock from the office. Their locks are a lot more difficult to cut off than your average combination lock. I'm glad I bought it...it makes me feel safe. read more

I only needed a rental space for about two months in between selling one house and buying another but Gary still gave me a great move in special rate and stellar customer service. The first time I came to the facility someone had damaged the key pad to exit the gate and it fell into the door of my brand new truck. I called Gary and sent him a couple of estimates for the repair needed to the ding on my door, they handled the situation with great customer service and sent me a check within about 2 weeks to have the repairs made. After going to several different web sites I went to the Public storage site and it was less money with better terms so I went and talked to Gary the manager and was surprised how easy and fast the process was. The unit was clean with very easy drive up access and after three months when I did not need it anymore it was very easy to move out and I was thanked for my business. The process is tedious. I secured a unit on Mon and got 4 calls befpre my fri check in. While I appreciate the first call, I felt like the other one's were a waste of your time and mine. I have never had as many questions and procedures that needed to happen to rent a storage unit. I, like many people, do comparison online shopping before I make a decision. At the very end of this lengthy process...You bring up the mandatory insurance which is $11-14 per month. You may have it in the small print somewhere online, but because you wait till the last minute to mention, it seems sneaky and left a really bad taste in my mouth. I'm certain your staff hears a little push back with every person they have to give that info too. They get some grief, which isn't fair to them. Have more respect for your employee's & your customers. NO ONE ELSE CHARGES THAT MANDATORY FEE. This was at the Parker Rd location. read more
