Not only is this the best deli / restaurant I've experienced in a hospital , but it's downright awesome regardless of where it is! If you're in the area - try it for bfast or lunch you'll love it! My favorites are their made fresh soups (sausage gumbo - excellent!), paninis ( ham, turkey & cheese and Eggplant and fresh mozzarella) and my absolute favorite - their fresh mozzarella and red roasted peppers sub. Everything is super fresh from their rolls, cheese, salads and more. I didn't have a burger but they also looked good as do the French fries. Sandwiches come with an amazing freshly made pasta salad with mushrooms, carrots , peppers and olives in a balsamic vinegar dressing . Yummy! They make bfast sandwiches and also more traditional breakfasts. They always have a huge pile of home fries on the grill and they look very good. Extremely Disappointing Experience - Ignored and Forgotten…read moreMy son and I visited Mario's Deli today, May 17, 2025, around 12:45 PM, and it was hands down the worst deli experience I've ever had. We walked in and were completely ignored by the staff for a full 15 minutes. It wasn't until another customer came in and looked ready to order that I had to speak up and point out that we hadn't been served. I placed a simple order for two sandwiches: one plain turkey sandwich and one half pastrami with American cheese and mustard. After another 15 minutes passed, during which at least four other customers who came in after us received their orders, our sandwiches were still nowhere in sight. When I inquired, the staff claimed they "might've fell somewhere" and they couldn't find our order ticket. By this point, my son had been waiting patiently for 45 minutes just to get a simple sandwich. I had to specifically ask them to please, quickly make my son's sandwich as he was very hungry. I always try to be understanding and avoid confrontation, but this level of disregard and inefficiency is unacceptable. Waiting 45 minutes for two basic sandwiches, being ignored, and then told our order was lost is beyond frustrating. This experience has unfortunately pushed me to share this negative review. We will not be returning to Mario's Deli.
