The restaurant offers a price fixe menu depending on how many courses you want and you can order between the seasonal menu and their special anniversary menu (which highlights all of their popular dishes from the past 40 years)! There was a good 45 mins before any course hit our table from ordering, which I think was an error but it just derailed us a bit. The food was very good but wish we had more time to enjoy it and not feel that we were on a time crunch. We were staying at Pulitzer Amsterdam, so the location couldn't have been easier. The atmosphere is relaxed but still feels special, and the service was attentive without being over the top. The beef tartare was excellent, really well balanced and a generous portion. The salmon with roasted tomatoes and Parmesan foam was cooked perfectly, and the flavors worked together without feeling heavy. The sea bass beurre blanc was another solid choice. We also ordered fries with a Gouda crème dipping sauce, which were hard to stop eating. For dessert, the chocolate tartelette was rich and easily enough for two to share. Looked directly across the street and thought that place looks quaint and authenticate. The young man serving me was cordial and attentive. On his advice, I had the meatball and mashed potatoes dutch comfort food plate. Hearty and delicious. Washed it down with a couple tasty, large beers. Loved Amsterdam and this place. Would go back to both in a heartbeat. Side note, hate to make a pitch for Apple, but I incurred no foreign transaction or currency fees using their card traveling thru Switzerland, Germany, and Amsterdam. Plus, the sync with Wallet is a great piece of mind. Quick notification of charge, business name, and location on maps. No need to reconcile paper copies when I got back home.

The variety was fantastic and our waitress was really sweet. I appreciate that you can make reservations ahead of time especially since there were six of us!
