They were extremely patient with my mother, they packed VERY quickly and efficiently, and they communicated well. Jordan took extra care in helping us select certain items to keep and ways to unpack when we got to my mom's new home and Dakota was excellent at quickly moving furniture and keeping us informed of time. A day later, I was sent a text that if I send another $1,000 today I'd receive a "paid in full" receipt. I declined the offer and glad I did. I didn't receive a valid contract, no Bill of Laden, or Know My Rights as required by law. In short, I requested a refund after more upfront money was demanded. The company is refusing to refund my $850 even though no work was completed. In a conversation with Chris Wilson he said, "Thanks for donating to my boys." This seems to be the rule and not the exception for this company as other complaints also involve large deposits he doesn't refund. Upon further research, Divine Movers, has a F rating by the Better Business Bureau and is also unauthorized to move household goods by the Federal Motor Carrier Administration.

After living in Greensboro for a year, I had inally found at home. I initially called Excel Moving…read more& Storage, but it was such a complete disaster, that I canceled them, and then contacted Steele & Vaughn. I was so glad that I did! When I left a message, they called me back promptly, I explained my situation and how much I had to move, and they made an appointment to come out and assess my home goods. This should be standard for every moving company. Oddly enough when I called Excel, no one bothered to make an appointment with me to come out and see what I had to move or the layout of the condo I was moving out of. Given the fact that I was leaving a "high maintenance" high rise with strict rules on move outs, the moving coordinator made sure to make a good plan to pack up one day, and then move everything out the next day. If we had tried to do it all in one day, it would have been impossible, and I was only allowed to reserve the elevator one day! The packers came and packed everything up, and they did a great job, almost too great. As someone who feels strongly about conservation, I felt a twinge of guilt at the amount of paper used to wrap up all my goods and dishes etc. The move-out and subsequent move-in to my new home went very smoothly. The guys were efficient and professional, especially since it was a VERY hot day for the move. Over all I was very pleased with the service. I paid for the move myself, and while it was a local move, given the amount of stuff I had to move, I thought the price was pretty reasonable. I also got calls from the supervisor, checking in to see if my move was going well, which I appreciated. Oddly enough, I also got a call from Excel moving asking the same thing. I guess the left hand didn't tell the right hand that I had canceled my move with them!
