But I think, truly, they are too understaffed to be able to fulfill even the most basic tenets of the job. I'd really encourage Safeway corporate to consider staffing this location adequately, because it is impacting customers negatively and significantly. It's virtually impossible to get ahold of pharmacy staff over the phone--which is concerning because that's pretty much the only way to contact them. This becomes increasingly problematic when time-sensitive, life-altering medications are at stake. When I tried to refill my medication (which I need to take every day for my chronic illness) I was unable to connect with anyone regarding my prescription. After four days, I finally resorted to driving out to the pharmacy for in-person assistance. What was really hurtful, though, was that the pharmacy tech genuinely just did not seem to care. You could tell they could not care less whether I (or any of the other people who need it!) got the medication. This flippant, indifferent approach has been a repeated pattern in my time at this pharmacy. The seeming lack of concern for patient safety, health, and wellbeing really has had a negative impact on my time here. I hope this location is staffed adequately moving forward, so patients can be well taken care of!

To make matters worse, during one interaction with the pharmacy technician (older woman with gray/brown hair and glasses) I was met with an agitated and rude attitude. This unprofessional behavior added unnecessary stress to an already frustrating experience. I expect better from a business entrusted with people's health (I have been a healthcare worker for over 30 years). Go in, tell them your name and order number, boom. The attendant handed me my bag. Second visit I wanted to get a passport photo. No appointment needed, you can walk in and it takes about 5 minutes. Luckily when I went it was slow, so consider that if you decide to come here for that. It's $17 for two. My only issue here, like so many convenience stores these days it's usually only one cashier. Fine, except when there is a small surge of people and suddenly the line is 5 people deep, it would be nice if another worker could come and handle some people just to move things a bit. That aside it's still convenient and already this Walgreens has served me for the short time in this neighborhood.

The funny thing is after a few weeks she reached out complaining that she was not able to make an insurance claim. However, I checked both my primary and secondary insurance claims, and the claim related to her was processed by both the primary and secondary insurance.
