There's always a great selection, and everything looks fresh and well made. I also grabbed a loaf of San Francisco sourdough from the bakery section, and it was just right -- nice crust, soft inside, and a good tangy flavor. And the price was surprisingly reasonable for fresh bread. If you're nearby and have a sweet tooth (or just want good bread), this Whole Foods is definitely worth the stop.

But the real problem is the exorbitant prices and the shoppers here look more than willing to pay those prices, so they must be really very well off. Typical prices are 25% to 40% higher than Safeway or Fred Meyer and that's not an exaggeration. Most of the deli salads are $10 a pound or more which is crazy high. The deli sandwiches are delicious and they are high price but they are well loaded with food about $9 each. Fresh lamb cuts are $15.99 a pound; fresh hamburger $10 a pound. Eggs are $9.00 a dozen and more. Talenti gelato is $6 a pint which is $1.50 higher than Amazon Fresh. I really don't buy much here except things like the deli sandwiches or hard to find soft drinks like Fentiman's, which are a real treat. The rest is just too expensive. Freezer manager: check them. They have parking in the back. It's small and getting in and out alive is a miracle each time. But it exist. If you elect to park on the street, parking enforcement is out everywhere and so be weary. I like their hot bar and salad bar. Always a rotation of items that keeps it busy interesting over time. What I don't think they are good for is snacks. Sometimes I just want something simple and not healthy and this place ain't it. I think this place is better for medium size shops.
