It was equipped with a very nice fire pit and a large stack of firewood included in the price. One staff member led us to our site in a golf cart, and another was already there to guide me while backing in. I have never before had this level of parking assistance! One of our slides jammed when we tried to extend it. The owner and two or three of his staff spent at least an hour trying to help us. We didn't have any luck, but the staff recommended a local mobile RV repair guy who was on site in about an hour and solved the problem. The park's cable TV service is head and shoulders above anything else we have ever seen. The area is full of natural beauty, and there are many places to get delicious food within a five to ten minute drive. Need groceries? Publix, Ingles, and Food Lion are just 15 minutes away, and Walmart about 20 minutes. Cross Creek RV Park is a great example of Western North Carolina hospitality at it's finest!

There is dog run, a laundrymat, a little store with a free library. You can go down to the creek where guests have access. The water is city water unlike other campgrounds near by who have really bad well water. A plus is also that we have super 5G reception here for our internet router. The campground also has basic free internet to stay connected. The rates are reasonable especially the weekly and monthly rates if you want to stay a season. But I imagine it's hard to clean in the dark. This has the worst lighting I've ever encountered. It's dark everywhere but impossible with the one little light in the bathroom over the one mirror in there hung over the sink and too high (I could barely see my chin and it was on the beveled part) I'm 5'2" so on the short side but still. Okay if you don't plan on wearing makeup. And make sure you're thin enough, I measured about 18" from the wall to the sink. If you need a hairdryer or iron you have to ask the office. Single serve coffee maker with two servings but only cream for one. There is no clock so you have to use your phone for alarm and time. This place completely filled up the first night we were there and almost full the 2nd night, so maybe it was just our room. The pool was absolutely beautiful. It is within walking distance to everything especially the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad.

The bathroom is claustrophobic. Also no exhaust fan. . There was no housekeeping our entire stay (Thurs-Sunday). We ran out of toilet paper and couldn't even find a housekeeping cart anywhere on our floor. Our garbage was overflowing. We ate in our room a couple of meals and there was no place to get rid of the containers. . No microwave . The bed is comfortable but it holds heat. We both woke up in the middle of the night feeling hot. BREAKFAST . For heaven's sake, people, figure out how to keep a steady supply of coffee. There was always a line of people rushing the urn when they brought it out. Also, if you would move it a couple of feet away from the cream and sugar, we wouldn't have to wait for the person in front of us to put it in their coffee before they could move away and let the next person pour a cup. . The only choice for eggs is scrambled eggs held on a steam table. Therefore, cold rubbery eggs. . Anything that could be over sweetened was. I'm looking at you, Baked goods and yogurt. ON THE POSITIVE SIDE, it appears the rooms have been updated since all the earlier complaints. Ours was very clean and reasonably modern. The staff were very nice. The public spaces were spacious and we enjoyed having our breakfast on a table on the balcony. BREAKFAST: The bacon and the biscuits were excellent, and there was always fresh fruit. I didn't try the waffles or pancakes, but they looked like you would expect when piled up in a pan. Apparently people come here and pay $15 for the breakfast. I wouldn't.

If you're going to charge that much money and offer a buffet, then you need to have a variety of foods catering to a variety of peoples different dietary needs. Along with supply enough food so that you don't run out. I don't eat pork but it looked dried out and not very good anyway. I would not recommend coming to their restaurant. Also they could have offered me a refund when they couldn't suit my needs.
