Love this place!!!! We stayed there 3 weeks. So relaxing!!!!!! If you can get a creek view, they are the best. Love listening to the creek. Nice people. Well kept.

    This was our chalet.

I love this place! People are so friendly here. We rented a chalet for a week. It was comfortable and we came in to find dishwashing detergent and paper towels provided. They also provide a Keurig coffee maker with coffee. We loved our "tiny house" cabin. The loft was spacious. My daughter just hung up there pretty much the whole week. It was "her" space. The RV park was fun and had activities pretty much every day of the week. They have church at 9 on Sundays and a Bible study at 6 on Wednesdays. The laundry facilities were great. The washers are commercial washers that you can fit two loads of laundry in for $1.50 and they wash for 32 minutes. I put two loads of laundry into the dryer which was $1.50 for 45 minutes and everything, including the jeans, were completely dry.

My MIL owns a week here, and my wife or her friends typically come up. This year there were 13 of…read moreus, including kids. I've heard so much, even seen pics, but it truly didn't capture what a quaint spot this is nestled in. Our units were in buildings 2 and 3, near one of the greens of the golf course, and across the little parking lot from Jonathan Creek. I started each morning reading a book and drinking coffee out on the porch, watching the sun come up. I was surprised at how early the maintenance guys started working on the golf course (6:45am one morning!). They should rethink that -- have them do the lawn care at the end of the day instead, since people come here to sleep in and relax. I was also surprised at how fast cars come through the "parking lot", which I discovered is also the access road to the houses up on the hills behind the condos. People were constantly having to be told to slow down with all of the kids (not just ours) in that area of the resort. There should be speed bumps along the creek drive, or warning signs of some sort. All if us REALLY enjoyed the creek, with both fishing and tubing down it (we got some sturdy ones for just $7 each at Walmart). Of our 7 days here, 2 of them were spent all day in the creek. Oh, and you can "borrow" fishing poles at the Valley Welcome Center about 1/2 mile toward town, and keep them for 3 days! We didn't catch anything, but I did see a local catch four fish one afternoon. The units are very homey, and I like how they supply all the dishes etc you need, as well as extra bedding for the pull out sleeper couch (two of our kids used it). The decor is a bit dated, but kept clean and it works. We also used the fireplace two nights for a s'more party with the kids, which they loved! Would def recommend staying here with your spouse alone or whole family! Centrally located where you can head to Franklin, Pigeon Forge, or any place else you'd like to go.

Peppertree recently dropped membership to the Maggie Valley Country Club as part of their rental…read more Th units are located right on the course. Now they have replaced that with membership at another far less attractive course a few miles away. Not interested in returning would have little else to do.

I was in the Asheville area on vacation and someone recommended this golf course. I was super happy…read morewith it! And I'm pretty picky with my golf clubs so I think that says something?! The front nine is relatively flat and is in the "valley" but then the back line goes up and down the mountain a bit. The holes are a little wonky sometimes but are usually very fair. The greens on the back nine can get a little crazy , it helps to play with someone that has played the course before. When I played the course, it was in pretty good condition. Comparatively speaking it's in much better condition than the other public tracks in the area that I have played. There were a few brown spots on the fairway, but nothing major. The greens rolled very true. My only real complaint was that the expectation of how fast you should play is pretty unrealistic... I think they have teetimes every 10 minutes and there's a lot of older golfers. There's also a lot of groups that have both males and females in them... None of this is a bad thing, but it slows the round down because people are teeing off and different places. There's also a couple holes that are cartpath only that really Can slow down your round. The price felt a little high, but it was in much better condition than courses that were only a little bit cheaper and so I'll take the higher price and the better conditions any day There wasn't a lot of water on the course... And buy that what I mean is jugs of water to drink... So it's not a bad idea to grab a water bottle in the clubhouse for you come out. The only other thing of node is that the driving range is nowhere near the clubhouse. I got lost taking my golf cart there! Twice! And longer hitters won't be able to use driver on the range. Beautiful course. Wonderful round. Worth the drive. Beautiful views!

We stayed at the Maggie Valley Resort & Clubhouse for two nights on recommendation from our family…read more We arrived after spending a week in a cabin sharing with 4 other people, so we were really pleased with this place. We didn't use the amenities, but at check-in, it was made clear that we could use the pool, schedule golfing, and that the restaurant at the club was fantastic. Our favorite parts were the views, how homey the condo was, and the proximity to places we wanted to go. It isn't far from Biltmore Estate, Waynesville, downtown Asheville, or the Blue Ridge Parkway. There are local restaurants around, some shops, and grocery stores nearby. The complex was also very quiet. I would highly recommend staying here for any trip.
