It would have been faster, cheaper, and much more satisfying had we gone to a proper restaurant with sit-down service! We sat in their waiting area, full of cooking smoke and smell, for an absurdly long time, before they told us, when we inquired, that there would be another 10 minutes. And it wasn't like they were inundated with orders. For the price they charge, the portions were pathetic, and the taste bland. It's a miracle how they could stay in business with such inefficiency (some say that overseas Thai restaurants get subsidised by the Thai government). Not worth our time. Not worth our money. Got the pad thai, green curry, and basil udon with shrimp and a side of vegetable spring rolls to go and everything was bland and tasteless and just not good. The pad Thai was especially bad and the noddles were soggy. Even the spring rolls were bad and too sweet. Don't think I've ever had bad spring rolls before. Ordered delivery on this rainy evening, the OTK special PAN SEARED SALMON with Panang curry, rice and steamed veggies and Tom Kha Gai soup - Chicken, galanga, mushrooms, onions, cilantro and scallions in coconut soup. Both dishes, although look unassuming, the flavors were robust and savory. The salmon was cooked perfectly, cooked through and still tender. The panang sauce had the perfect kick underneath the creamy sauce. The steamed vegetables were fresh, crisp and bright in color. The soup was a very good balance of flavors, light creamy and tart, zingy and peppery. The Papaya Salad is a flavor bomb that has a gentle kick and hits every part of the taste buds. We enjoyed Chicken Pad Thai, chicken and shrimp dumplings, and bok choy with ginger which elevated this side dish to the center stage. Fresh, flavorful, and worth EVERY cent. Delicious! Just walking in to pick up your food, it smells so good. Loved the shrimp and bok choy (Goong Gratiem), the rama and the drunken noodles. Try the sticky rice! Thai salad is a must. They are also so nice and accommodating. Can't wait to grab some more. read more

The food was late (could have been Grubhub) even though I prefer-ordered by 3 hours. I got the green curry which was good but had a very strange smell. I also got The pan fried chive dumplings and a side of garlic udon noodles. Both were like gummy rubber. Even though Thai Garden is a bit more expensive I will order it every time. I feel they have lost the passion to cook in a very short time, I ordered beef gang dang or beef in a coconut red curry, I feel the meat was sparse and very cheap cuts used. Value for money was non existent...I don't know what's going on behind the closed doors but they are shorting customers quality to make an extra margin. First Thai spot in Rockland that I loved. A creature of habit, I usually get Siamese (Thai) Fried rice and theirs was great! Their steak is also very flavorful. They fell short on the appetizers (I'm usually in LOVE with the chicken and shrimp fritters), chicken wings weren't my style..battered and then in sauce. The main reason I'm giving a 3 star and not 5 is because of the service. It's understood that a commitment time for pick-up can run over but it was more than 30 minutes over the promised time and the lady who took the order had such a poor attitude and offered no apology or fee even grain of rice for the fact that I had to wait so long. Food was fair. We ordered 5 main dishes and they were all greasy. The pineapple fried rice had raw cucumber and raw tomatoes in the dish. The ribeye steak was very fatty and chewy. The best Thai food in Rockland with authentic flavors, this place it's a hidden gem and you deserve to try it, my favorite appetizers are the curry puffs, chive and Thai dumplings and sweet and spicy potatoes, try the Pad Thai it's their signature dish or their savory and spicy drunken noodles, they also have a variety of curries from mild, medium or hot, the duck tamarind and their soups are amazing as well and don't forget to try their delicious Thai ice tea this is great food prepared with love I absolutely love it and recommend it to you. read more

I'm super disappointed in the experience I had tonight with this restaurant. We placed an order tonight on DoorDash and for some reason the entrees weren't appearing on the menu, only the appetizers. Thinking they may lose business I called the restaurant to make them aware. The woman who answered the phone convinced me to place the order anyway and "just write the entrees in the special instructions and I will adjust the total." We did that and placed the order. I then called and spoke to her on the phone and went over the entrees and she read them back to me. She said no problem and we would get all our food and she would adjust the bill. We wait an hour and the food arrives and the bag has a small soup and the other app, NO ENTREES. We were in disbelief. So we call the restaurant back and talk to the woman who told me to write in the entrees and she says "oh sorry the boss said we couldn't do that." I told her that she was the one who told me to write it in though. She said "sorry, that's what he said." I asked to talk to the boss/owner who didn't do anything. He just kept saying that I have to take it up with DoorDash. I told him I spoke to the woman on the phone and she told me to write in the comments, he argued with me stating that "I didn't talk to her because I ordered through DoorDash." (Like I'm lying to him, really?). He then said he had to go and hung up. Shame on this restaurant for having horrible customer service. We order from the place all the time but this was the last. Also, definitely hire a new person who answers the phone and responsible for customers orders. Did she not think to maybe call the customer after she found out we were just getting an appetizer and no entree? Seriously, that's ridiculous and absent minded. I'll support restaurants who know how to take care of customers. Forget this place though people, support somewhere else. read more
