Brilliant colors of blues, pinks, reds, yellows, whites and orange were everywhere! A sight to behold for sure! The views of Lone Mountain and the Spanish Peaks, to name a few, were spectacular. Gentle streams and waterfalls surrounded by lovely flowers were soothing to the eyes & ears. There are a few steep inclines on the hike, but worth every breath you take! In some spots on the trail, the fragrance of trees immediately takes your senses to Christmas! If you love outdoors, flowers, streams, rocks and spectacular views, you need to do this hike. You will have one of the most memorable experiences of your life!

Ignore Google Maps when it warns you that part of the road here is unpaved for the last leg of the…read moredrive. It's actually recently paved, so you have a smooth ride to the parking lot! The path to the waterfall is also paved with asphalt so it's a smooth walk up and great for strollers. There are two vault toilets at the parking lot, and a small picnic area near the entrance of the parking lot. This is an amazing waterfall. Water cascades down a columnar basalt face so it's particularly stunning. I've seen amazing columnar basalt formations (Devils Tower, Devils Postpile), but none with a water element. It's very memorable. I saw some people trying to scramble up the rocks to get to the top of the waterfall, but I'm not sure how safe that is. From satellite photos it looks like there's just forest up there anyways.

All the way up is paved which makes the experience nicer and easier, if you're not looking to break a leg going up haha. The sunset up there are amazing and all pictures are Instagram worthy!!! I took my 70 year old grandma and she enjoyed the hike and even made it from start to finish. The ride there is a bit intense with many curves so I'd recommend to take a bag for those that may get car sick. I'll be coming back to Montana, just for this beauty!

I was absolutely blown away with this magnificent experience! We hiked about a mile up to the cavern entrance. It was a steady incline and almost all in the sun, so come prepared for that. Sunscreen and a water bottle would be wise. By the time you get to the top, you're pretty toasty warm-and then you can cool off in the cold, dark cave. The cave/cavern (what's the difference?) is truly remarkable. Nature can be awe inspiring and what you see inside this mountain is a perfect example of nature's masterpiece. Be respectful and don't touch anything you're not supposed to touch. This isn't a horribly physical excursion, although there's a good amount of stairs, narrow spaces and even one area where you slide down on your bum. People who have any mobility limitations might struggle with this one-although I did overhear that there's an alternate tour for folks who might need accommodations, so ask about that. This was likely my favorite part of the road trip-even more memorable than Yellowstone! (Sssshhhh, don't get me in trouble for saying that.)

Decided to wander up here, and am happy I did. Granted, the clouds were pretty low this morning, so I'm not sure I got the full effect, but it was still neat. The only thing that was concerning is there was one off leash dog that was a little scary -- it made it so I couldn't do the loop around; it was snarling and offputting. My 3rd animal crossing this vacation! - The western entrance to Lamar Valley at Tower Junction (Tower/Roosevelt Service Station) was way backed up. Many cars, slow line. * Even with many families waiting behind you, savor the moments. Not often in your life you get to witness Bovidae walking right in front of you. . Tip: better replenish at the Sinclair gas station. Will be a long drive ahead. # Warning: Don't feed them, and certainly don't touch them. Ancestrally, bison had to view us hunters as predators. And mothers recognize their calves by scent. If you touch a calf, your human predator scent will alienate the mother; she may not even recognize her young anymore, and it won't be able to rejoin the herd Dx Disastrous fate for the calf afterwards... So yeah, stay in your car. Or exit at one of the pullouts, but keep your distance. Welcome to America's Serengeti!

We didn't start our drive until early afternoon, so we didn't see a great deal of wildlife, but we did manage to see several herds of bison. The views were very scenic, and we found ourselves pulling over quite frequently. Definitely take your time driving through this area and enjoy the sights!

The people who helped us were really nice and the dogs were too! We rented 4 chairs, a stove, a cooler and bear spray (which we didn't need to use).

1 star. I would strongly caution others before renting from Big Boys Toys - and specifically the…read moreowner, Ethan. Our group rented a 4-seater and three individual quads on August 8. We were specifically told one quad would be a Yamaha, but instead received a different quad that repeatedly shut off during our ride. Based on our interactions with Big Boys Toys, it became apparent that they were already aware this equipment had been experiencing mechanical issues before it was rented to us. That quad eventually became completely inoperable. We immediately contacted Big Boys Toys and followed their instructions on where to leave it. We then had to arrange for someone with a personal vehicle to retrieve the stranded rider. During that process, a second one of our three individual quads also became inoperable. At that point, two of the three quads we rented had broken down, we lost a significant portion of our rental time, and we ultimately had to end the outing early. The personal vehicle used to retrieve our stranded riders also sustained scratches and wheel damage. I contacted Big Boys Toys afterward requesting a refund given everything that happened. Instead, they charged us an additional $260 to retrieve the malfunctioning vehicles. So, in summary: we were provided equipment that Big Boys Toys appeared to already know had mechanical issues, two of our three individual quads became inoperable, riders were left stranded, we had to use and damage a personal vehicle retrieving them, our outing was cut short, and we were then charged another $260 for Big Boys Toys to pick up their malfunctioning equipment. We have photos and videos documenting the equipment and what occurred. Equipment can break. What is unacceptable is renting equipment with known issues and then making the customer pay hundreds of dollars more when that equipment fails. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Big Boys Toys. The owner Ethan is unethical for not only renting out known malfunctioned equipment, but then charging the customer for it. Stay away from this spot.

Baseball fields, public restrooms, a lake you can fish or you can fish the beautiful Yellowstone River that runs alongside. Or enjoy the bandshell or the tennis courts or just so much more. Since the flooding we have not been able to access the park from any roads and that's a huge disappointment as it is the best park in the whole town of Livingston!! Hoping it can re-open soon.
