If they don't have it they will do their best to find it for you. They have a presence, and followers on Facebook Marketplace. Which is how my sister initially found them. Hubbard is quite a ways to drive but when you're supporting small business it's worth the trek. You also will be happy to know that they give customers wholesale prices for your purchase. I almost didn't stop here as I had already visited five nurseries this day (not to mention it was…read morepouring rain!), but how can you not check out a place called The Happy Bee?! I nearly slammed on my breaks and trotted on in. This is smaller than some of the other area nurseries as it is just one greenhouse open for shopping, but the greenhouse itself is large and filled with all sorts of good stuff! They seemed to have more annual flowers than anything else, but it was also early in the season for vegetables and I got the impression they would have more as things warmed up. Noteable finds for me were epazote and summer savory (two herbs I have sought near and far but to no avail until now!) along with many more herbs, a large variety of peppers and tomatoes, colorful stocks, strawberries, and many marigolds (including my favorite, strawberry blonde). Oh and they had the requisite hanging baskets found everywhere this time of year. Prices here were some of the cheapest I have seen, with many plants under $2. Employees were quick at checkout, and this was a nice alternative to some of the other, busier nurseries. It felt more open and easier to navigate.

They had a ton of tomatoes, many varieties with the cutest names that I've never even heard of (and I'm a bit of a tomato fanatic). Also big beautiful dahlias, petunias, and lantana. Lastly, a few herbs, currants and other bushes, and even some trees. Really, a great mix of goodies! I was delighted to find big, happy Green Globe artichokes for $5 each, plus a gorgeous and giant heliotrope that smells like a dream come true and looks too purple to be real. You are welcome to explore their greenhouses, but the retail space is where they have their choicest and best plants that are ready to go (some in greenhouses may still be growing, or it might be too early to plant the warm weather loving varieties). The owner was so lovely and helpful. They are also a century farm which I just find so charming. What an accomplishment and legacy!

Communication is excellent - emails answered instantly. Even day a after I placed my order I was allowed to add few more plants. Plants arrived in lightning speed, wrapped with love. They were healthy and some of them in BLOOM! They were packed with such care, the blooms lasted for another week after planting. I always check the root system and these were healthy, happy plants.
