We love Outback. The food is g really great. And, if we have problem, they fix it. With a smile. On a Friday date night, June 5, 2020, my husband and I went to Outback. But, when I arrived, I didn't feel comfortable enough to get out of the car and go in with COVID still going on. We decided to sit in the car, order and do take out. I called them, and they answered promptly, taking our order. Soon, Angela came out and spoke with us updating us and chatted. She came back again and took our payment. The last time she came back, she had our order and a special surprise. She gave us a complimentary order of cheesecake with strawberry and chocolate syrup! I went back because a friend wanted to go there even though I told her about my last experience there. So I wasn't expecting much. Let's start with service, it took 15 minutes for our server to come to our table, we ordered two cokes and water that took 25 minutes to get to us. Our food didn't come until 45 minutes after we got our drinks which we finished and needed a refill. Fries were cold steak wasn't seasoned at all. Say they will fix your steak but comes with an air of guilt tripping and irritation from staff. Price for this quality of food is a huge miss. Had a wonderful to go experience this past Saturday. Their app works great and I was informed immediately how my order was coming and when it would be ready. Once I got to the store I entered my parking spot number and my server immediately brought it out. Steak was cooked to perfection and my wife's Queensland pasta was also exactly as she asked! Steaks were raw. Rice was hard as a rock. Manager and waitress staff was very nice and corporative but the cooks do not know what they are doing. Would not recommend if you don't want salmonella or food poisoning. read more

I'm not trying to say that prior negative reviews are invalid but I can say as of today, 2019, that Outback is one of my go to restaurants for Steak and even for Seafood at times. I eat at the Sheffield Outback at least once every two weeks so I'm there a lot and I can honestly say that the quality/taste of the food has been consistent every visit I've made except for once in the last 6 months and that was quickly taken care of by a manager to my complete satisfaction. Outback's Shrimp on the Barbie is always great and Outback is the best source of Prime Rib, when they aren't sold out. Another exceptional item that they serve is actually their basic sirloin steak. I've had Sirloins at the Sheffield Outback that has rivaled the taste and tenderness of some of the other Steakhouses filets. Outback Steakhouse is also a very good place to eat crab cakes and/or Lobster and every time I've ordered them they have been prepared perfectly and tasted exceptional. I don't know if the Sheffield Outback has improved over time due to management or ownership but today I have no problem choosing Outback at any time and for any meal. One last comment and that is that the Sheffield Outback Steakhouse also serves the absolute best Potato Soup of any restaurant I have tried. I fully would have no problem recommending the Sheffield Outback Steakhouse to anyone and I fully believe that all the past problems are just that, in the past, and today I doubt very seriously that those same comments would be made. read more

My sister and 6 other family members arrived at outback at 5:55pm. They got a table for 9 because my husband and I were on our way there. We arrived, they had already waited 20 minutes on a table by the time we arrived. We waited another 30 minutes. I went up to see about how much longer we were going to have to wait considering it was getting late. We finally got seated then we were given bread 10 minutes later the waitress came to get our drink order. Finally got our drinks and ordered our food we ordered an appetizer a blooming onion. It came out and we were eating it and the waitress came by and asked if we needed anything we said napkins because we had nothing on the table no utensils and the onion was extremely greasy. We asked for napkins 3 times and utensils twice. When we ordered the 2 childrens chicken fingers, we ordered 1 with honey mustard and ranch ,and we ordered one with ketchup only. We had to ask multiple times for ketchup and ranch. My steak was medium rare when I asked for medium well. The whole experience was ridiculous at best I have to work in the morning and we live an hour away I would have much rather not been up there eating and not leaving until 845 from supper. If it hadn't of been for my sister's birthday we wouldn't have been up there I would have gladly been at home and not had subpar food and really awful service. The waitress could have easily gotten a really good tip off of the 9 person table we had but we paid for shitty service and pathetic food. This is a new location and the first time I have ever ate at an Outback. I have heard good things about this steak chain and looked forward for a good meal. Now obviously this place is very clean since it was just built and the service was very good. I was seated and waited on promptly. I then ordered a mushroom appetizer and a soft drink. While I waited for that, a server brought out a cutting plate with bread and butter. I am sorry to say this wasn't nothing special and was very bland. The appetizer and drink arrived at my table quickly. This was a good sized and good tasting appetizer. I then ordered the 10oz rib-eye with a side of signature mashed potatoes and mac-n-cheese. The food came out hot and the steak was done medium rare as I requested. Now this is where everything lowered the rating. The steak, about a 1/2" thick, well seasoned, and with that slight seared flavor is all you tasted. I am not sure if this was a rib-eye or something else. It's a poor quality of meat and reminded of a poor steak from a buffet. The potatoes were put on the plate with a large ice cream scoop like a school cafeteria. This tasted fine but came with nothing for toppings. My second side was mac-n-cheese. It was obviously plane noodles put in a little skillet with a little cheese and heated. This needed more cheese for it to have a chance. So for the cost and quality of food, I would have put zero stars. The cleanliness and service is the reason I added two stars. In conclusion, I will not be returning to this chain anywhere I travel and I highly recommend looking elsewhere for a steak. read more

This being said, the staff at this Outback restaurant went way above and beyond to make our night special. We wanted Outback Friday night but the wait was just too long. Decided we would get curbside Sunday night. We placed our order online and was give the time 7:25. We arrived at 7:30 and at 7:32 received a text saying our food should be ready shortly. I called at 7:45 to check on it. It came out shortly thereafter but when I check the bag, one blooming chicken was missing both side (loaded mashed potatoes and steakhouse mac-n-cheese) and the second blooming chicken was missing the loaded mashed side as well and neither had the blooming sauce!! So I walk up to the door and was informed that they were out of mashed potatoes! Well that would have been helpful to know since we had paid over $50 for take out! I would have been even more pissed if we would have gotten home missing half of our food! We probably won't be back after this! read more

My parents visit here a lot and they really like it, so I guess it can't be all that bad. However, we had a poor experience. We made a reservation for 12 people, which they did accommodate, but we were packed too tightly. Only 11 showed up, and we barely squeezed into our table. If all 12 were there, someone would have had to stand. We had very good table service. Our waitress was very good, courteous, timely, etc. We had the onion flakes which was a good appetizer. Two people in our party got burgers which they said were very good. My salad was good. So, why the bad rating? All this sounds pretty positive, doesn't it? Well, this is supposed to a steak place. I had the 6 oz Victoria Filet Mignon, and it was the worst steak I've ever ordered out at a restaurant. It was tough as nails. I literally had difficulty cutting it. And it was cold by the time it came to my table. I could barely eat it and left over half on the plate. I was with my parents who were paying, so I didn't want to send it back. My wife got the same streak and had the exact same experience. I would have a hard time ever returning here, because my stomach rolls just thinking about that steak and how terrible it was. It makes me not want to go to any Outback because the Filet quality is so poor. read more
