This is a small place and doesn't look like much from the outside but it is definitely a local hotspot. We went in 3 times. 2 for breakfast and once for lunch. The service was good but the waitress was busy the whole time but did check on us. 2 of the men with me had the cat fish and chicken and said the flavor was great. We were passing through after attending a graduation a UNA, and we had heard about this restaurant from someone in the area. BOY, are we glad we gave this place a try! Country cafe vibe, food is very reasonably priced, and everything we had was delicious. Barbecue, onion rings, fried mushrooms, fried shrimp, and fried oysters were all absolutely delicious, and on par with the best I've had. The fries were just ok, but still not bad. We came in and ordered 2 fish plates. The waitress said something missing from your plate. We told her our fries. She never brought them. Then I told her my bread was burned. The food is awesome. I started with fried mushrooms and sweet tea. Then the fried fish filets with fries, slaw and hush puppies. The lady behind me was eating a ribeye steak and it looked so good, I ordered one to taste (and take home for the next day). It was delicious! The server was very friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, polite and professional. Another server also came by my table to see if I needed anything. I met the two cooks, also. They are both extremely great cooks. The restaurant was extremely clean. The tables were not sticky or gummy like some places are. The salad bar looked very well maintained and delicious. Wow! This is a neat little restaurant. We are out of town, so we were looking for a good meat and three kind of place. It has everything that we want. It is clean! White tables and chairs will show the grim buildup. There was not a speck. Now for the food...hand battered fried shrimp, fresh coleslaw, hush puppies. It was all yummy. Yea, people were waiting a minute or two for the food to arrive but it was worth the wait. And that just means the order is cooked when placed not sitting under a lamp. My husband said it was one of the best meals he could remember. Last but not least, this is a friendly place. People were walking in or leaving speaking to their neighbors. Don't get anything with bacon on it. I got a BLT and my wife got a shrimp wrap that had bacon on it. The bacon was so thick and hard we couldn't eat it. Nice people, terribly bacon. read more

We went into this little place with no expectations.... The girl greeted us immediately we was sat down ordered drinks & the cheese sticks for appetizer AMAZING + THE HOMEMADE HONEY MUSTARD!!!! Not to long after getting the appetizer here comes the meals, amazed at speed of servive veey skeptical because it was so quick! Oh my goodness the catfish &the double bacon burger was AWESOMLY INCREDIBLE We was able to chat with tge cook he was so humble & is wickedly great at what he does... we got to meet the owners these people was truly cool down to earth people we ended up with 2 breakfast on the house that was equally awesone this place is somewhere we will be visiting again read more

Great breakfast it was awesome we had a party of 4 with 1 kid. I had western omelette it was delicious my daughter had pancakes with sausage and they had the best sausage Iv had in some time. Service was excellent. And the bang for the buck can't be beat. read more

We have eaten here over a year. The quality of breakfast has went down ,the last three times we order breakfast .The consistency has went down hill. The waitress does her part,but the breakfast cook, has attitude . He cooks the meal his way. He knows how we like our food cook,but he still does what he wants. Sausage always dehydrated and gravy is barely warm and last time he sent meal without biscuits and had to wait on more to be cook,by then breakfast was cold. Have not been back read more
