Always great food and service. I really have nothing else to say. This place has always pleased me. I've eaten here maybe 40 to 50 times.

The food is so good, it's probably some of the best Chinese I've ever eaten. I will say though BEWARE IF YOU HAVE A PEANUT ALLERGY! I have a non-severe one and ordered chicken lo mein and the general tso chicken (doesn't typically have nuts) and we called and asked if they did as well receiving an answer of no nuts, but I still had a reaction. So there might be some cross contamination with peanuts somewhere. Other than that the food is delicious! Just be cautious if you have a peanut allergy. read more

I've eaten here for years and didn't think I'd miss it after moving to Arizona five years ago, I can't find anywhere that has the same feel. I always get their pad Thai combo with the angel hair like rice noodles with beef, chicken, and shrimp. I can't find these noodles anywhere else and it drives me crazy. Been hearing about how good this Chinese Restaurant is "Best in Florence !" I've seen countless times on reviews. After living here for a year we finally tried it out last night, I was very disappointed. I started of with the hot and sour soup, it was neither hot (spicy) nor sour. I will say that off the 3 Chinese Restaurants in the 7 points, none of them have a good Hot and Sour soup. I had the Generals Chicken, again wasn't what I expected, could have used more heat, the peppers were there, just not any real heat, and the sauce was different, hard to explain. Everyone raves about the egg rolls. It was very small and flavorless, to be honest I've had better more flavorful egg rolls off the hot food snack kiosk at Walmart up the road. I ordered the fried rice with my meal, it was cold and again flavorless. My wife had the Beef Hibachi, she liked it and I tried a bite. It was very flavorful, the zucchini in it was cooked perfectly and the beef was nice and tender with no fat. The service was excellent, very fast for a Friday night. It seemed they were doing more Take out business than eating in. The ambiance is the typical Asian restaurant where they have moved into a place that has closed and did some remodel but not a total so signs on the old place are still there. Extra items stored behind the sushi bar (paper towels, boxes of cups, etc.) I will try this place again to give it another chance. The food is the best. The friendly server meet us right away. Took us to our table. Served drinks and my hot tea. The ambiance was delightful. We met a lady at the next table that made recommendations on the menu. She was absolutely correct. The egg rolls were served first and then our entree. Rice Box, I gotta say, I'm disappointed. I'll explain why, despite Rice Box now being a mini hotel for flys and the like, the portions here have gotten so much smaller. Every order felt like a kids menu size and it's not just because the GIGANTIC PLATES they're on.. the broccoli sizes were big enough to cover half of the noodles given. I feel like I speak for most residents of Florence when I say that we miss Rice Box back in it's prime, even just after covid was finished and you reopened your doors. Your servers are always wonderful but your food and ambiance has taken a huge hit. The traffic seems to have slowed down and I can see why. It saddens me how easily this visit knocked Rice Box off of my "Must Go" list... Anyways let me rate the food I ordered: Cho Cho Chicken - 7.5/10 One again, portions? Small. Flavor was still there though. Mongolian Beef - 5/10 It was more like Onion Beef... and there was barely any of the rice noodles at the bottom. The ball here was dropped and dug itself 6 feet under... Sunshine Roll - 4/10 More like a Cloudy Roll. These use to be a beautiful display and pretty large as well. I could fit the crab on my pinky... and the shrimps...? So small. One of these use to fill me up, I could at least eat 2 orders of them now... I eat at rice box multiple times a week and have never had an encounter before until tonight. While they are very understaffed and that's okay, this is an issue that should have been caught. I am very lucky nothing serious happened while eating. I ordered the chicken hibachi and took a bite of chicken and while chewing something very hard poked me in the roof of my mouth almost like a chip. I'm addition, there was a bug in my water. For Asian cuisine in Florence, look nowhere else. Seriously, why would you? There is NO BETTER spot for sushi, gyozas, or fortune cookies in the Shoals. That doesn't mean it's great. It only means it's good, and it's in the freaking Shoals. My favorites here include the gyozas ("dumplings," for you white folks) and cheese wontons. Both come in large enough portions to be a meal. They're technically appetizers according to the menu. Employees are authentic Asians, including the whole "me speakee little English" bit. I suspect they all sit around and talk with Jersey accents during their smoke breaks out back. They have an itamae (sushi chef) behind the counter, and a listing of what's fresh that day. I'm not a giant sushi fan, but I'm told this is the best sushi around Florence. Now let's get to the reasons I had to dock this place a star. Too crowded at lunch time. WAY too crowded. Since Rice Box opened, it's been swamped during the weekday lunch hour. And there is really no place to wait on a table to open up, so a large group of folks are always bunched around the entrance. They desperately need more seating. Also, I have to take off points for the drink offerings. I've had a soda on many occasions, and it's been awful. The carbonation-syrup ratio remains WAY off. Almost undrinkable. I've also tried iced tea... equally bad. Do yourself a favor and order water with your meal. Your tummy will thank me long time. read more

Don't be fooled: Rice Box anchors this center and brings business to Seven Points. The service has been great the 3 times I've been there, the food delicious [and extraordinarily well priced]. One of my favourite qualities of this location is the [All of the above] attitude towards Asian cuisine. While in other, bigger cities, you have to choose Chinese or Japanese, Rice Box has a great handle on both and even throws in Thai, and [yet untested] Boba Tea... From what I've heard, patrons are never disappointed when making the Rice Box choice. Grace is one of my favourite waitresses there. Ask for her...and enjoy! The sushi menu is rather extensive, as is the menu. But don't worry, just tell em what you want and they know what you want. The takeout could be better organized, but fast and convenient. I've dined here twice and I'm not sure if I'll be back. I'll start with the good. My entree, Szechuan shrimp, was very good. Perfectly spicy, a nice array of vegetables, and the shrimp were plump and juicy. I enjoyed my spicy tuna roll, it was spicy and flavorful. The miso soup is good, however it's hard to eat with an (abnormally flat) soup spoon. They don't have any other spoon options, so be aware. The prices are fantastic and I appreciate the free wonton strips you're served once having been seated. Now onto the bad. The ginger dressing is more onion tasting than ginger and I found a few pieces of old, mushy lettuce in my bowl. The shrimp lo mein was overcooked and the shrimp were smaller and lower quality than in my entree. My spicy tuna tasted fine, but the tuna in my tuna avocado roll had an off taste. I did not get sick, but it was concerning. The service is not ideal. My server refilled my cup halfway through dining with the incorrect soda, and my sushi order was wrong because our server did not write our order down. My big issue is cleanliness. The tables were sticky, the floors were dirty, and the kitchen was horrifying. The curtain to the kitchen was open while we paid and we immediately did not want to come back after seeing the state. There's cardboard all over the floors, dirty pots sitting everywhere, including the floor, and there was prepped food sitting in tubs on the floor as well. No gloves or hair nets were worn and everything looked dirty. While I personally have not gotten sick from here, I've met several who have. The food is decent, but not worth the risk. read more

Excellent, just excellent!!! I had the teriyaki chicken with Veges and fried rice!!! The chicken came out on a sizzling plate!!! The chicken was tender, the Veges soft, but not to soft, and the sauce was great. The rice was great, especially with the teriyaki sauce!!!
