Been a customer for many years, NO More! Came with a party, No silverware was given , finally when we did get it, unfolded the napkins and it was dirty and had food on it, ( we should of left). We ordered for takeout a Delmonico Ribeye with Caesar salad and loaded mashed potatoes. It came with their brown bread. The steak was welll prepared for medium rare and was juicy and tender and was large enough to split for two . The salad was also plenty for two and came with lots of cheese and croutons along with the dressing. The brown bread was quite good with nice crusty outside and soft inside. Absolutely horrible experience at Outback and honestly it ruined our entire Mother's Day celebration. We called earlier in the day specifically to ask if they were taking reservations or call-aheads and were told NO. So we planned our entire evening around that information. Then when we arrived, we were told it would be an HOUR AND A HALF wait because call-ahead parties were being seated first. So apparently call-aheads were allowed after all, we were just lied to or given completely incorrect information. To make it worse, the online wait time said 45 minutes, which was nowhere close to accurate. What really pushed this experience over the edge was the manager's attitude. Instead of apologizing or trying to help, they were rude and dismissive when we explained the situation. We wasted time, drove out there, and ended up spending a huge part of Mother's Day standing around frustrated because of their poor communication and terrible customer service. Server was very friendly. Read the reviews before we went and thought it couldn't be that bad. Drove an hour to get there. It really was that bad. My ribeye was cold and had no flavor. Mashed potatoes were bland. But my French onion soup was pretty good. My wife said the French dressing on her salad was really bad. Her steak was way undercooked. Looked raw in the center. 1st off our server was very good ( young girl names started with an A, maybe a bit of a southern accent). She had a a table of about 20 very loud & needy people at the time also & she did her best to take care of us as well. These people let their toddlers run amuck bothering people while they're eating which didn't help our enjoyment. These noisy people were literally standing up against our table with their backs to us for our entire meal. that didn't help either. The food My steak was the worst piece of meat I've ever seen. It also wasn't cooked the way I asked. Coconut shrimp were large but the sauce they came with was not tasty. Just send cocktail sauce please. Wife's filet & lobster tail was brutal. The lobster was sooooooo tiny & was microwaved. The filet was also tiny & waaaaay overcooked & not med rare as asked. Burger was meh. Other son had sirloin & grilled shrimp his was ok. Mac n cheese was an upgraded side but it was by far the best thing we had. The quality control is non existent at this place. we ordered identical sides which came in varying portion sizes. Complimentary bread was delicious. Bill was over $170 for 3 dinners & a burger & 4 sodas We definitely won't be back. it's not worth the 40 mins we drove to get there. read more

Hands down the best meal, service and overall dining experience we've had in years!! We regularly dine at all levels of restaurant from fast food to high-end spending over $100pp and from the moment we walked in greeted by friendly hostess, to friendly server who brought refills before we had to ask, to excellent food (chili was amazing), to friendly busboy who was polite and quickly brought us condiments, to even other staff we had a quick conversation with, to farewell salutations when we left, it was so refreshing and what a simple dining experience should be. For dinner I got the roasted garlic filet medallions which comes with mashed potatoes and veggies but you can sub for other sides if you'd like..I got the mashed potatoes and a side salad instead. The filet was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. Also tried the filet with shrimp that was on their limited special menu which also came with 2 sides, we ordered the broccoli and cheese and Aussie fries but got regular fries instead- again the steak was good, the broccoli and cheese was great, and would of loved the Aussie fries but their regular fries were good as well. Ordered porterhouse last weekend. I could not believe how tough that medium cooked porterhouse was. My knife couldn't even cut through it without me putting all my strength in it. The worst restaurant experience I have had in Rockford. My steak was rancid and hard. It cost $28 and was inedible. We waited over 20 minutes to get the check and had to get the manager to get a refill on my drink after waiting about 45 minutes for the refill. No bread at our table. I got the steak filet with the lobster Mac and cheese of course. The steak was unbelievably scrumptious. I was pleasantly pleased. Cooked to perfection, just how i asked for it. It also came with two sides, i chose a loaded baked potato and a salad. Both great! Service was great, restaurant was clean, quiet for how busy it was. The lobster Mac and cheese was okay, i think it tasted a little flour like? But i did have it for lunch the next day and i think it tasted better the second day. We came to Outback because we had a gift card. The server (Serenity) was great. The food and drink was OK. However they need to review their table cleaning process. During our meal, we observed the bus staffer wipe down a nearby table (with no disinfectant spray), then wipe off the two chairs with the same cloth. Then proceeded to bus and "clean" two more tables and chairs, the same way, with the same used cleaning cloth. Ewww.
