When I realized that I wanted a brighter, cooler light, I contacted Dave to order samples to try out different colors. He wanted to charge us for samples and to replace the lighting if we wanted to swap it out. We counted on Dave to advise us regarding residential lighting, and he failed at the job. Why the one star? Because he introduced us to Dominion Lighting, who did a good job installing the lights over 3 days, and was never intrusive.

When approached, he eagerly welcomed the challenge of modernizing our 55 year old basement's fluorescent lighting. Dave inquired as to our typical activity and physical movement patterns, within the confines of the basement living space. Dave studied the exact dimensions and furniture layout of the room. He analyzed the potential shadow effects along with the dramatic lighting impact available through the use of strategically installed "wash lights." After weighing all of our preferences and concerns, Dave educated us as to the improved aesthetics and higher efficiency that could be provided by strategically installed LED recessed overhead lights, controlled by state-of-the-art dimmers. Once satisfied and in accord with his design suggestions, David coordinated the best price purchase of all new, high quality, lighting fixtures. Dave also personally oversaw the hiring and detailed instruction of skilled electricians and installers. Throughout the entire project. David proved to be highly communicative, courteous and efficient. The results are stunning! Matt and Kevin were so knowledgeable with Calvert County codes and regulations and offered a wonderful rendering to address the codes and safety! The price was fair and we plan on making them our go-to for our quoted project and many more projects! We love that they gave us a fair price upfront and didn't bargain with us once we said we could not do the project at that time. We asked several friends who each have successful landscape companies in different states and they confirmed the quote we received from Lawn Artist was very fair. We gave Kevin and Matt several inspiration pictures and the rendering we received more than met our expectations so much so that we are putting off saving for a needed kitchen renovation to save for this project instead. I contracted them to put a stone façade on my house and a slate front porch and they showed up on time every morning and they worked together to get the job done and absolutely turned out beautifully. I have never seen a crew so passionate about what they were doing that they were careful to make sure that everything was done absolutely perfectly. They carefully shaped and honed each piece of stone. You'll see in the photos how beautiful it turned out. The owner Tony even went to a quarry in Marriottsville Maryland to find the particular stone that I liked. We used real stone, not the fake stuff. Once the façade was completed, they did a beautiful job on the patio in slate match the colors spectacularly my neighbors from all around came to watch and marvel at the finish product. I couldn't be happier and price they charge me was more than fair. I also had their indoor crew build some custom shelves for me in multiple closets and finish out some trim work and a new kitchen that I had put in. This is a meticulous team like I've never seen before. They did such a fantastic job and I sent them to my mothers to redo her sidewalk entrance to her home in Annapolis.
