Yesterday this opinion was challenged when I needed to return a set of six window panes they had cut to go into window frame I left with them. The day before we had a relatively pleasant conversation explaining to Frank that the panes were not cut correctly and they also included chipped glass along the rims. When I brought them back I further explained the panes were too large for the openings and required a space of 1/8" all around for expansion and contraction of the frame as moisture changed. This was not provided. I expected Frank would offer an apology for my inconvenience, take them back for reworking, and I would be on my way. Probably happy. Not so fast. Instead he defended the work and insisted it was out of square to the point where proper sizing was impossible. I was personally surprised when he also insisted chips along the edges were a normal part of the process and to be expected. At least two of these chips were large and my thoughts were, "at least some of these panes are comprised and this is not normal". I just kept thinking about how much I paid for this glass and how absurd that sounded. Would any ordinary person be okay if someone handed them a $9 glass pane with noticeable flaws along the edges? Frank relented and finally agreed to take the frame and panes back for reworking but I sensed he was resentful. When I later picked the reworked glass up I noticed the all fit nicely into the window frame, most of the chip were gone except for just few very minor ones, and there was a proper 1/8" spacing as needed. Just as I had originally expected. At the end of the day I had gone through some inconveniences but eventually ended up happy with the work. My issue is not so much that they made mistakes, but that I felt he was not interested in my explanation of the problem and my experience as a customer. I had to insist and that is just not right. I wonder if I've ever gotten this much pushback returning something to Lowes?

1 Star Less then!!!!…read more Lowe's needs to seriously reconsider the delivery company they're using. We placed our order on July 21 with a scheduled delivery date of Saturday, July 25. We waited home all day, only to receive an email saying it was delayed until Monday. Monday came... no delivery. Then we received another notification saying it would be delivered Tuesday. We waited again. Around 6:00 PM we even received an email saying the truck was 4 stops away. Guess what? No one ever showed up. On Thursday, we finally called the Jefferson City Lowe's store. The manager looked into it and told us the items had never even been picked up and were still sitting in the warehouse. How is that even possible when your system is sending customers "Out for Delivery" updates? The manager apologized and guaranteed delivery for Saturday. Saturday afternoon, around 4:00 PM, the delivery company called--not to tell us they were on the way--but to tell us they weren't coming. We called Lowe's again, and the manager confirmed the order still hadn't even been picked up. So how does your tracking system repeatedly tell customers their order is "Out for Delivery" when it hasn't even left the warehouse? We've now rearranged our schedule multiple times, wasted several days waiting at home, and still have nothing to show for it. The employees at the store have been polite, but the delivery company Lowe's has chosen is completely unacceptable. Lowe's, if you're going to offer delivery, hire a company that actually delivers. Customers shouldn't have to spend over a week chasing an order that was never even loaded onto a truck. The delivery company didn't fail us once--it failed us repeatedly. The worst part is that Lowe's continued sending false 'Out for Delivery' notifications while the order never even left the warehouse. That's unacceptable. This has been one of the worst delivery experiences we've ever had!! STILL NOTHING IS RESOLVED!!

The place was packed, always is. My hubby loves Lowe's hard to get him out of the store…read more It is our first non cold or rainy day, temps,up to 80 today and we decided to come here to shop, rather than going into our town due to traffic going into 66. ( Major tourist spot) I love the garden center, and bird feeders. The folks here are down home nice and helpful. Makes for a pleasant shopping experience.
