We went camping at Frisco Campground in the Cape Hatteras National Seashore and got the standard boil for 2 and added mussels. Got camp set up and 30 minutes later eating this amazing boil! I could not recommend this place more. We had 4 people, ordered 3 Ben Franklins and 1 Maine-lander with an additional 2 dozen clams. The pot comes pre stacked, with instructions, lemons, butter, seasoning and corn bread for $1 a muffin. All the seafood was clearly fresh. The Ben Franklins were supposed to come with muscles but when placing our order earlier in the day, they were honest that the muscles did not look good so they didn't purchase any. We really appreciated the honesty in that aspect that they clearly care about quality. When we picked up our pot, the lady working answered all of our questions. There was plenty of food for 4 people so you are getting your money's worth. To be brutally honest, as long as you can read, the instructions and cooking process is extremely simple and straightforward. 10/10 would recommend. read more

This, easily, was the best dinner (and ironically one of the most affordable) we had while staying on Hatteras. It's an old fashioned low country boil that you can customize with your own ingredients. We went with crab, mussels, clams, and shrimp (plus corn, potatoes, and sausage). You'll get a metal bucket, and you take it home to cook it, which takes about 45-60 minutes. I guess you need a kitchen, but theoretically it could be done over a grill or even a fire. The kit comes with pretty easy to follow directions. And, if you don't wanna mess up your vacation rental, you can even buy (for a buck) a tablecloth. They've also got crackers, mallets, etc for sale, but our rental has a well stocked kitchen. You'll also definitely need pot holders, and I'm not sure you can get those here. The seafood was good quality and the seasoning mix was delicious. Very, very happy. We stopped in to ask some questions beforehand, and found the staff very friendly and helpful. Getting through on the phone was a nightmare -- they're super busy. You can order online, but not for same day service -- plan accordingly. read more

I saw this place show up on Google maps and decided to stop in to check it out and grab a menu. the only downside I would say about ordering is if you are trying to place a same day order via phone, good luck. they are not very responsive so I'd do an online order a day in advance. the boils are very customizable. I did the Ben Franklin which came with shrimp, crab legs, mussels, clams, sausages, corn and potatoes. it comes with a spicy seasoning blend, butter, lemon, and cocktail sauce but you can add other sauces and non-seafood to your order as well. the seafood was fresh and the directions are easy to follow. definitely order from them if you're in the area! read more

Service was great. We went to the Avon location to discuss our needs as to best decide on what to order. The individual there was very helpful but definitely not pushing to oversell. We picked the product up at the scheduled time. The directions were clear and we ended up with two great steamer pots that met the needs of our group of 8 people. Delicious and easy. They load up a bucket with all your ingredients and give you step by step instructions. We had a boil for 5 and added a little extra seafood. It cooked up in about 25 minutes on the stove. Mess free. Our 6 adults and 2 teenagers couldn't polish it off. Leftovers made a great lunch the next day. read more
