Bro. Bros serves up some tasty sandwiches and was the perfect lunch stop after a long drive from DC to The OBX. There's plenty of seating both inside and outside (picnic tables.) It's located in the same shopping center as the Avon Food Lion so parking won't be a problem either. I had the Chicken Philly and it was served up on a taco holder- an actually ingenious way to serve up the hoagie to keep the heaping piles of chicken, grilled onions, and cheese sauce between the two slices of toasted bread. The sub hit the spot, the cheese sauce had a nice kick to it which makes it stand out from the stereotypical cheese sauce (sorry Cheese Wiz.) The waffle fries were well seasoned and complemented the meal well. There are not many food options down this far on The OBX, but you can rest assured Bros is going to take care of you. read more

Freezing cold inside, the food doesn't have a chance of staying warm but probably works in the summertime. The restaurant is very spacious and clean. Bring a sweater or jacket. The Smoked Wings and fries were epic. We requested extra crispy wings. They were so good no sauce was needed. I got a regular burger (cheese is extra but worth it). My husband had the Cowboy Burger. Just Ok. Burger was 100% precooked and microwaved (I worked at a restaurant and know when I am getting a fresh burger). They charge extra for ranch. Nothing spectacular, nothing special. I don't get why their review is so high. Fries were ok. Stopped someone from bringing in their Stanley water cup. A bit ridiculous if you ask me. ONLINE BUYER BEWARE! The menu online indicates "all sandwiches come with fries," as they should for the price! The 8 sandwiches we ordered online cost us over $168 with NO FRIES! There is no way to call the restaurant, so when we returned to the store to pick up our fries, 'they' advised us online orders don't come with fries! First of all, why not?! When you go to the Outer Banks for vacation, seafood is always on the agenda. For us, so is a trip to Bros. Their burgers are just beginning of a really wonderful menu. So many options, so many great homemade sauces to go with the different options. I had the quinoa burger and it was pretty good, and my daughter always gets the pulled pork nacho bowl. We also love their burgers! The service there is always great, I would say better than many of the other restaurants in Avon, North Carolina. You really feel a sense of pride by the folks that on that place. I feel like they really want me to have a good experience every time I'm in there. No matter how busy they are, they never stop serving takeout, and they are super efficient at getting things out in a timely fashion. I also believe that since the pandemic, when many businesses are struggling to attract and keep employees, this place must go above and beyond because they always have enough employees working, and like I said, the culture here is to be friendly and hustle. read more

600+ people aren't wrong... the location is super busy being next to the only grocery store in the area but we were able to get in with a group of 9 on a Saturday evening without issue. The staff was courteous and friendly and the menu is pretty straightforward. The sandwiches are ala carte but everything is priced reasonably especially given it's a vacation town. The tuna po-boy was excellent with a crip cool slaw to counter the fresh seared tuna. The house made pickles are a nice touch but the star of the dish is the wasabi ranch sauce. It was good on everything... the waffle fries, the big bro burger, the little bro burger... everything. Our food came out fairly quickly and was hot and fresh and everyone really enjoyed their meal. It did not feel touristy either which was surprising given the area and the location. We will likely be back this week and will definitive make it a routine part of visit to OBX. read more

One of my favorite places in the Outer Banks! Bros is super consistent with quality food and great service. They have vegetarian options, including a homemade quinoa patty (the quinoa bro, my favorite) and grilled cheese. They are most known for their burgers (many to choose from) and pulled pork sandwich! I am so picky with sweet potato fries, but their waffle style fries are always amazing! There is a reason why it seems like everyone staying in Avon is in there for lunch everyday. Yes, it gets crowded, but they have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating (and many customers take their orders to go). The order was placed online and was ready about 10 minutes after the original pick-up time was given, not bad at all. The BBQ pork nachobros ($8.85) and cowboy bro burger ($10.25) were ordered. The nachobros consisted of waffle fries, pulled pork, BBQ sauce, and smoked gouda cheese sauce. This was very good. The waffle fries stayed crispy even with all the gooey cheese and BBQ sauce present. The pork was tender, but the key was the gouda cheese sauce, just tremendous. Regarding the burger, it consisted of burger with pepper jack cheese, smoked gouda, peppered bacon, and a sriracha pomegranate BBQ sauce. This was alright. The patty was a little overcooked and the BBQ sauce was very powerful. It took away from all the other toppings except the smoked gouda. That was once again tremendous even with the powerful BBQ sauce. I also tried the chicken Philly. I was surprised grilled chicken was used here. This place had good reviews so we stopped for lunch. Service was friendly and quick. I ordered a chicken philly and my other half ordered a burger with fries. The chicken philly had a weird cheese sauce on it. The bread was good. The fries were hard, not really crispy, but just hard. My other half's burger was " just another burger".
