i am a "type A" perfectionist. i have difficulty trusting others to do a good job because i'm…read morealways thinking i could just do it better myself. i received linda's name from a friend who is also a fellow perfectionist. i hired linda for "day of planning" which i should say is really more like 2-4 wks before planning (and frankly from the day i hired her, we were in contact at least once a week). the only major differences between her 2 levels of service are whether or not you want her to negotiate contracts and attend tastings with you etc. by the way if i could do it over again, i would have TOTALLY used her to negotiate contracts (i hired her after i had all of my vendors/contracts solidified). anyway, linda is professional, efficient, organized, responsive, extremely easy to work with and exceptional at her job. i would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat. she literally makes it so that you don't have ANYTHING to think about worry about or do on your wedding day other than have fun. my wedding would have been so much different (stressful, stressful, and more stressful) if i didn't have her taking care of all of those last minute details. i cannot stress how wonderful linda is and how happy i am with her services. i sincerely believe my wedding was such a success and so enjoyable for ME and my husband because of her!

It's through him that I heard of the Central Street Busker Festival that took place the next day and his line was loooong! Most recently, we went to his show last week that the Mt. Prospect Public Library held for spring break. That was very very well attended, with a long line of folks waiting to get in (and that's with all of us registered to attend!), but the show was a lot of fun. He did a little magic, a little comedy, and some fun balloon tricks. This guy has been doing this all his adult life--unless that's also a joke and part of his act--but regardless, he's great at his job. I'm looking forward to seeing him again and my little one having the chance to pick her balloon creation on her own.

On the evening of the event, I didn't do a thing. Stacey never stopped moving, never missed a thing, and when it did occur to me to check on things, Stacey beat me to it by showing up with an update. What sets Stacey apart from the myriad event planners on the north shore is her range, adaptability and accessibility. She can do a lovely, refined bridal shower at the country club just as meticulously as a loud, techno party in a loft space. She never makes you feel like you need to spend more or do more than you'd planned. She doesn't push ideas. Stacey's so very fun and easy to work with, such an authentic person, it feels like planning a party with your best girlfriend, the one who knows all the best places and picks out the best centerpieces and has an amazing little source for favors that no one else has used - and is just as excited as you are about making it a great event.

My kids have never signed up for a weekly class here, but they've attended several bday parties and…read moremini camps...and it's always a guaranteed good time! And educational! This past week my son and his friend took a break from their regular day camp to do a week (half days: 9am-12pm). The theme was Cool Science & Sports Physics. I didn't get a ton of details about what they did on a daily basis, but they came home with huge smiles and projects they were proud of. They finished the camp today and eagerly said they would be open to doing another week soon. I haven't done the full day yet because that seems like a lot of science for one day, but the kids I know who stay all day love it. It's very organized, educational and fun! Both my daughter and son love it and I'll likely send my little guy when he's old enough. They do tend to clog up your inbox with promotional emails once you sign up, but guess that's also good to keep on top of the many options they have to sign up for. Thanks for another fun week!
