While the building has small plants, terrarium set ups, some pots -- both ordinary and unusual and other miscellaneous things, it's the actual garden that's a treat. It started with the sign on the left warning visitors that the resident cats sit in the window and can't be let out because they terrorize things - probably the koi and ducks that make themselves at home near the small pond -- or perhaps they tangle with the peacocks. While it was later in the season and probably fewer plants than they might have in the spring, what Garden Barn did have was nice, appeared to be well cared for, and enough variety that you can stock your garden or landscape with different things. It isn't a cheap place, so be prepared to spend some money for a full landscape. With that said, there were some nice lower and mid-priced things left in one of the greenhouses. And, at a really reduced price because it's at the end of the season, some plants that looked all but dead, might still have some life in them with some TLC if you really want to manage your budget. What I noticed were the amazing large hanging baskets that reached nearly from the hanging bar at the ceiling down to the top of the tables. Absolutely beautiful.

Since this was to go on a wall he even included a piece of L metal on the back that held it away from the wall and included tiny markings to help us hang it level. We worked with Paul and ordered our Hunter Douglas window treatments in advance to ensure they could be installed once we moved into our new home. Paul took the measurements himself and assured us everything was perfect (we had to rely on his word given we lived in another state). The blinds were installed today and they're the wrong dimensions. They're externally mounted, which is what we wanted - but they don't reach the end of the trim on the bottom or the right sides. Gallatin Valley Furniture has offered to re-measure and replace the window treatments, however, they have not extended a discount for the inconvenience. Given we spent $13,000.00 on window treatments and expected them to be perfect when installed today, this is completely unacceptable. It's bad business. We've pulled our order, requested a refund, and will be working with another vendor for both this home and our new build. We prefer to work with a vendor who values our business.
