First time here, enjoyed the energetic ambience (but quite loud), good variety of moderately priced food options with starters, salads, shareable plates and signature pizzas; plus a nice variety of drinks and craft beer selections. They were busy on a Wednesday evening, very popular place near the square, so I recommend reservations if coming during busy dinner hour. Overall, a 4.0+ for me, excellent food, friendly and attentive service and comfortable (had plenty of space) atmosphere and fun eatery, good place to take a group! Expect cost to be ~$10-20pp. My #1 item of the night was their Fried Mozz; freshly made and fried mozzarella balls served with warm marinara sauce - so tasty and plenty to share, but I could've eaten a plate by myself! Second, their wood-fired Edamame were excellent and tasty. I'm used to getting steamed edamame with salt, but these were wonderful with rosemary, lemon and sea salt! And third favorite were the house-made meatballs, served in a flavorful red sauce with parmesan and sourdough toast (a little overdone in my opinion). Oven and Tap is a brilliant, tasty wood fired pizzeria off the Bentonville Square, by about a block. We have gone multiple times, but last night I realized I had never reviewed it. First, let me say, Oven and Tap has always been a 5 star experience for me. I loved the ambience, from the first time I stepped through the doors. When you walk in to check in, you see the massive wood fire pizza oven behind the hostess counter. The space is clean, modern and cool. The tables have lots of space between them, as they are arranged to accommodate Covid precautions. In addition, Oven and Tap has added tents outside with patio furnaces, so they can accommodate more guests. This was such a great call, because there is always a wait on the weekends! Every staff member I saw was wearing their masks, and wearing them correctly. Last night my husband and I ordered hummus as a starter and we shared a Hoboken pizza. This was my first experience with their hummus. It was delicious! It had a very slight lemon flavor. They serve the hummus with a generous serving of focaccia bread! It is the perfect way to eat the hummus! The Hoboken pizza was also amazing! With every bite, you can totally tell how fresh the ingredients are! Finally, service is always amazing! I'm a pizza snob. I live near Chicago. I've eaten pizza all over the world. So this 4 stars should mean something. The restaurant wasn't very busy when we went in, but quickly filled up. Our server was more aggressive than I am used to, but not pushy. I don't mind being offered things, especially at a new place, when we may not be aware of the specialities. I was hoping for a delicious, wood fired pizza, which I got. It was a lot greasier than I was expecting (think New York style foldable). Even the red sauce seemed to be more grease than tomato. I've been to Oven & Tap a few times. If you are looking for brick oven pizza in Bentonville, this is the place for you. One of the standbys my girlfriend and I will get is the meatballs, salt & vinegar potatoes, and margherita pizza which we split. The meatballs are very flavorful and not too spicy. I'll cut up one and add to the the pizza. The potatoes are crisp and taste lightly fried (not sure how they are prepared). The vinegar gives the potatoes a little tang which makes the potatoes unique compared to potatoes you might get somewhere else. The pizza is fresh and has that delicious flavor you get from just a hint of char the brick oven gives it. While I tend to prefer thick crust, this makes for a nice change vs my typical go to type of pizza. I tried making a reservation the last time I wanted to go there, but was told they didn't take reservations when I called. When I got there to request a table or be added to the waiting list, they asked if I had a reservation. I'm guessing there are periods of the night/days of the week where they do take reservations and others where they don't. For my military friends they offer a generous 25% off military discount! Oh my gosh. If you are in Bentonville don't miss this restaurant. The atmosphere is contemporary urban complete with fantastic new art pieces. The pizzas are unique. I had the Sweet Joes--pepperoni, fontina and honey. My son had the Spicy Joes--same as sweet, add jalapeños. The combination of flavors was memorable and gave us the best pizza experience we've had in ages. Now for the salad--the Mimosa salad was sweet and savory. My first time here, and I loved it! It took a little while to decide what to order because everything on the menu was interesting. I finally decided on the Sweet Joe pizza. Ordered two pizzas and cheese bites for pick up. The pizza was extremely undercooked and not very good at all, personally I think you get better bang for your buck at dominos. Also, I am not entirely sure if the pizza is supposed to come with marinara but neither of our pizzas had sauce. The dough was chewy, and the pizza was just over all mushy. Here's the deal: I've tried to come to this place at least 8x and have only made it in twice. Both times the pizza was great. First time, service was awesome. Second time, it was sub par. Waitress first time was friendly, offered beer tasters, recommended items off the menu. Second time, host decided to help deliver cakes for a party before seating us, waitress held the pizza until we moved everything around on the table for it to fit, and "couldn't get us a salad until 5pm". It was 4:40. Their hours are weird. They close from 2-4 certain days and you can't order certain menu items at some time periods that are not marked. The pizza is great! A really cute place for brunch, lunch, or dinner. I came here for dinner for a casual bday party. Our waiter was very nice but didn't feel he was exceptional, the food was good and the drinks were good. We started off with some pimiento cheese with toasted bread and it was excellent. I got a shandy of some sorts and it was super sweet but that's how I like my drinks. Would definitely recommend that one. I got a prosciutto and arugula pizza and it was good, but I wish the prosciutto had been cooked; it would've made it quite a bit better. The atmosphere is casual but no one would look your way if you were dressed up in a business suit, or in a tshirt and shorts. We come here every time I am in town from Kansas City and for good reason. The seasonal appetizers and mainstays are often as incredible as any main dish. My friends ordered about all of them and I find myself loving vegetables more than ever. They are super accommodating for anyone's needs or preferences. We were a party of 16 after our film premiered at the Bentonville Film Festival and we were famished. Parties of 16 at the end of the night can often spell trouble for a restaurant. Being that it was National Pizza Day, I wanted to make sure I was going into a situation that would live up to the billing of the day! When I walked in, it was a laid back atmosphere with a good mixture of clientele. You had families with young kids, older couples, as well as college aged groups. I decided to go with the margarita pizza as I typically go with whatever cheese option they have on the menu. The pizza took about 10 minutes to be cooked and brought back out and it did not disappoint. From the very first bite I knew this Neapolitan style pizza was going to be a hit. The sauce was the real star of the dish, as it was full of flavor and not your typical red sauce you'll find in other pizza places, this one stood out among the pack. The mozzarella was very good, although there wasn't much on the pizza it stood out and you could tell this wasn't your store bought cheese. We just happened on to this gem while on a business trip in Bentonville. As we parked to walk down to see the square we noticed the wood fired pizza. I was a great choice.
