    That's a $42 lunch.

This is our last time eating here! My wife and I come here for lunch pretty regularly. It was easily once per week to every other week. We just found out that the "owner" , as blamed by employees, has decided it's an a la carte menu now and only includes the sandwich and not the chips and cookie anymore. Now, their cookie was total dry trash and never worth eating but that's beside the point. Today, for a total of $42, we got 2 sandwiches, 2 drinks and 1 bag of chips. Really Their foods not that good and the "owner" can suck it. We're not coming here anymore and for the price, I encourage the rest of you to find another mediocre restaurant for lunch.

Cup Monday Chicken & Dumplings and build your own Half Sandwich (turkey, Swiss, ramolade, onion, and lettuce)

Sandwich was great! Bread tasted very fresh. I wish I would've gotten it toasted but I forgot to ask. Chicken and dumplings were lacking salt but I'd rather it be that way. I added a little bit of salt and they were amazing! Service was great, all the staff were very kind.

Their rack of various breads even contains some cookies. Just right for Grab-And-Go

I've dropped in here before to buy loaves of bread. The selection of breakfast sandwiches always look and taste good. Their display case and a quick lunch menu is diverse and delicious

Service here is always top notch and I've tried multiple times to put a tip into the register and they skip it. When I protest they always tell me not to worry about it with a smile. They still provide the best service! The food is always amazing too. If you're looking for an amazing chicken and dumpling this is the place. I make it a point to visit in the days they offer them and always get the half sandwich and soup (ALWAYS dumplings) and the. Take home some (if they have any left to sell!). They also offer bread and baked goods to take home if you want-- recommend the jalapeño cheese bread. Highly recommend this place!

Food was tasty but ticket time was slow. Maybe because they appeared to be prepping a TON of bagged lunches. I'll come back when there's no way they are distracted and see what's up! Breakfast burrito was fire!!

Definitely middle of the road.......went there for breakfast the other day and ordered the scramble. As you can see in the pictures, the cheese was partially melted, partially not. Biscuits and gravy were not good or bad, just relatively boring.

Food is good and bread is fresh but the service is so slow in the mornings. If you're trying to order takeout, I recommend calling ahead for 15-20 mins later. A simple breakfast burrito took me 20 mins to get, and I was literally the only customer in the store. I saw another guy come in to place his order, then drive off in his car, and come back 15 mins later to pick up so clearly he knew the drill.

Secondly, the inside is quite small yet there is seating in every corner and space available. From tables, to sofas, to cozy chairs, there is a quiet spot to enjoy your treats! There's even a water and food station for your fur babies! Now on to the main event...the pie! Wow! Just wow! From pie to cake to scones to tarts, I've tried them all! The raspberry cream is to die for! So sweet, creamy and they use real raspberries! I was in heaven at first bite! The lemon meringue pie is a close second with its bright freshness! Not overly lemony...Just right! The chocolate cake is super fudgey and rich! Pair it with a cold cup of milk and you've reached Heaven. The banana chocolate chip scone was good...but in my opinion much too sweet. Leave off the brown sugar/cinnamon glaze and it would be much better. The fruit tart was so flavorful and the fruit was fresh and just the right sweetness. If you like coconut cream pie, you've come to the right place! Creamy and the perfect consistency. The chocolate diner pie is rich and decadent with its lightly whipped topping and chocolate curls. Lastly the Southern Buttermilk pie was a first for me. I didnt know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. It was almost a custard like consistency but with a sour note...more lemony than I was expecting but good nonetheless. Next time I hope to try the more savory pies and quiches. Everyday there is a variety to choose from and their daily menu is always posted on their Facebook page. Oh! And the prices are fantastic considering you get a good size slice of pie! Big enough to share...if you're willing! I highly recommend this cute little bakery...in fact I insist on it!

When I took two bites I looked down and saw another hair. In the cheesecake. Gooseberry's storefront is in a pretty unassuming strip mall near the Bentonville USPS/Osage Park. It's not a sit-down place by any means, so prepare to get your pies to go. They not only have a case with fresh whole pies and mini pies, but also have a freezer with frozen savory pies. I ended up getting three mini pies--coconut cream, French silk, and banana pudding (not technically a pie but is sort of pie adjacent?). I think they set me back around $30; clearly they are not cheap, but I'd rather pay a little extra $$ for a quality treat. Many thanks to the nice guy at the counter for all the recommendations! My ranking: 1. French silk -- I am a sucker for chocolate cream pies and this one was great. The chocolate cream was rich but not too sweet. The crust to filling ratio was great and was clearly a quality, all-butter crust (I can immediately clock a crust that is cut with shortening like Crisco). 2. Banana pudding-- Solid, standard banana pudding. I know the bar is low, but I was relieved that it tasted like actual real banana, and not like banana runts/jello pudding. 3. Coconut cream -- This wasn't a bad pie by any means, but I didn't like the stringy bits of coconut in the custard, which I also found too sweet. I think toasted coconut sprinkled on the surface would've been the way to go. I wish I had gotten to try a quintessentially Arkansas pie like possum pie that day, so I would recommend calling ahead of time to get a sense of what's available/the rotating menu of the week. You can also pre-order a whole pie of your choosing, but it's just me over here and ordering a whole pie would be $$$ and dangerous. That being said, highly recommend!

They're located in a cute Victorian house that has been converted to a bakery, with a few rooms converted to a place to sit and consume your purchases. While there weren't as many options as I had hoped as only 7 baked items were available, I did enjoy the gluten-free & pork-free chicken, chicken-bacon and chive scone for $6.25 and a double-chocolate cookie for $2.50. The other options were: - $7 blueberry muffin - $6 orange poppy seed bread (about the size of a deck of cards.) - $5 sausage roll (about the size of a Twinkie.) - $4.99 vanilla funfetti vegan cupcake - $7 cherry seed bar (about the size of a deck of cards.) I brought 3 other people with me and while my food tasted good, there just wasn't enough variety and the people I brought with me declined to order. Also, to prevent confusion, this bakery needs to separate out the taxes on their receipts as separate line items. Currently, it looks as if they're charging a 10.5% sales tax when the tax rate is 9.5%. I have been informed that there is some additional tax to make up the additional 1%. It's unclear if this is true but having separate line items on the receipt would fix this issue. Nobody wants to be overcharged. Visited: April 2024
