Our baby girl who was 12, suffered a terrible aspiration pneumonia and subsequent Megaesophagus a little over a week ago. After 6 nights in the ICU at UF Vet school and us trying everything from oxygen to NG tube with tube feeds to IV fluids & IV antibiotics, our baby couldn't overcome the odds. I contacted Lap of Love this past Wednesday when we decided to withdraw care and take her home for the best few days we could offer her. Every hour we had her home was spent loving her. I had made an appointment for this morning so my husband, myself, & her nanny could be here holding her together. Dr. Anika came to our home & was so kind and gave us time & answering our questions.I set up everything for billing on the first call to them so this morning thankfully was just a signature. We opted for private cremation and they handled the rest. We were allowed to have our sweet girl outside on our back porch with the fan on her just as she loved most. After some pain meds with muscle relaxer & sedative, she made us a beautiful paw cast that she left us. Our baby girl felt no pain and was so peaceful. The heartbreak of losing a fur baby is so incredibly hard but knowing this company exists to do it peacefully in our home, surrounded by our pack, gave us peace. We are so grateful for what the staff and doctors do for those who have chosen to let their fur babies go with dignity and in their own environment. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts to everyone whom we interacted with for calls and at home.

Saving us the cold metal vet's table goodbye was only one part of this terrific service. Dr. Natalie walked us through the goodbye with a therapist's skills. She was so comforting and understood exactly the grief and sadness we were experiencing. She gave us as much time as we needed to process the event and she walked us through step by step so we knew exactly what she was doing. Mia had been with us my children's entire lives and I was worried - they wanted to be there but I knew how hard it could be. They'd never lost anyone before. Dr. Natalie made the entire service so calm, loving, and compassionate and it was a much better closure for all of us. After loving on Mia for a good while and all of us holding her as she drifted off, she allowed us to cry and mourn as long as we needed to. Then she gently placed Mia on a cot with comfy blankets where she looked so peaceful and pain free. My boys carried the cot out to her SUV like pallbearers and placed her in the back, which was decorated with flowers and peace rock, and warm sayings like "Never Forgotten", "Love Lasts Forever". It was so comforting when she told us Mia would be with her (as opposed to dumped in a pile somewhere) and in a week she called to say she was bringing Mia home to us. Her choice of wording like that throughout her services, touched our hearts and made this the most beautiful pet goodbye I've ever experienced. I so so highly recommend Animal Angels!

She quit eating, drinking, and walking in just two days. To end Lily's suffering, we called Lap of Love 0530am and left voice mail for urgent help! At 0600am Matt called and said "Dr. Sarah will arrive between 11 am and 12 pm. We are here to help make this process as peaceful for you and Lily as possible." Matt explained everything and followed up with an informative email. Dr. Sarah called us before arriving at the scheduled time. She was very compassionate, caring, understanding, professional, and was a blessing to Lily and our family. Lily was first given a sedative to relax her and after she closed her eyes a few minutes later was given a shot and went to heaven. We were given a Paw Print of Lily's paw embedded in clay with her name on it, some hair taken from Lily's back and in a small clear container with Love on it, and a wonderful pamphlet that I cherish called Eternal Paw Prints. In two days received an informative email from Jennifer of Lap of Love who said, "Lily's urn will be ready to come home in approximately 10 - 14 days." Lily came home eight days later. It was a beautiful carved wooden box with Lily engraved on identification plate on the front. I'm staying busing working on a photo and video album of Lily and reading a wonderful book a second time titled Rescuing Sprite: A Dog Lover's Story of Joy and Anguish by Mark Levin. My family and I have heartfelt thanks, blessings, and appreciation for everyone.

I'n not sure what magic powers Tye, the manager of the boarding facility has, but their dedication to animal care and confidence when dealing with difficult animals is remarkable. I am speechless! Tye, as well as other staff members I did not get names of, were extremely patient with my cat when he had a very difficult start while being boarded at their facility. They were so communicative and made an incredible effort to make my cat feel comfortable during his stay. He started out terrified and by the end of his stay, was cuddling the employees brave enough to enter his lair. These folks are true animal lovers - I know this because my cat can be a handful and they were kind enough to still give him a nice report card. Tye and Dr. Moser went above and beyond to keep me updated and to help reduce my cat's stress. The dedication of their team is astounding and I'm incredibly grateful to Tye and the rest of the team for turning my wildcat into a love bug and saving my vacation.
