The Most Beautiful Goodbye…read more I so highly recommend Dr. Natalie and Animal Angels. When it was time for our 15 1/2 yr old Beagle Mia to go, Dr. Natalies came to our house. Saving us the cold metal vet's table goodbye was only one part of this terrific service. Dr. Natalie walked us through the goodbye with a therapist's skills. She was so comforting and understood exactly the grief and sadness we were experiencing. She gave us as much time as we needed to process the event and she walked us through step by step so we knew exactly what she was doing. Mia had been with us my children's entire lives and I was worried - they wanted to be there but I knew how hard it could be. They'd never lost anyone before. Dr. Natalie made the entire service so calm, loving, and compassionate and it was a much better closure for all of us. After loving on Mia for a good while and all of us holding her as she drifted off, she allowed us to cry and mourn as long as we needed to. Then she gently placed Mia on a cot with comfy blankets where she looked so peaceful and pain free. My boys carried the cot out to her SUV like pallbearers and placed her in the back, which was decorated with flowers and peace rock, and warm sayings like "Never Forgotten", "Love Lasts Forever". It was so comforting when she told us Mia would be with her (as opposed to dumped in a pile somewhere) and in a week she called to say she was bringing Mia home to us. Her choice of wording like that throughout her services, touched our hearts and made this the most beautiful pet goodbye I've ever experienced. I so so highly recommend Animal Angels!

All I can say is Animal Angels is simply wonderful on one of the worst days you'll ever have. From the very first email interaction they were kind and understanding and when Dr. Jenn arrived that morning she was so incredibly compassionate and took time to explain what would happen and gave me all the time I needed in those final moments. I've done this at a vets office before and there is absolutely no comparison. To be at home with your fur baby and not having to take that final car ride where you come back without them, it's so so so incredibly worth it. I can't recommend Animal Angels enough. 15/10.

Because of her gentle guidance and unwavering kindness, we were able to help our sweet Piper transition with a calmness and love that felt almost sacred. When Dr. Melissa arrived at our home, she came with warmth, hugs, and the reassurance our breaking hearts desperately needed -- that we were making the right choice, at the right time, for our girl. She didn't rush a single second. She learned who Piper was, honored her spirit, and gave us all the space we needed to breathe, to cry, to hold on, and to let go. She walked us through every step with such tenderness, answering every question, easing every fear. In one of the most painful moments of our lives, she created a sense of peace we didn't know was possible. Having Dr. Melissa with us that day was a blessing we will never forget. She is, in every sense of the word, an angel. ~Jon & Julie

They have cared for our retired guide dog, Martin, with a level of compassion and dedication that goes far beyond what we ever expected. When Martin began having mobility issues, they came to our home to provide red light therapy and other treatments that truly helped get him back on his feet. Throughout every stage of his care, Diane and her team listened to us, respected our wishes, and always made us feel like we were partners in every decision. We never felt pressured into doing anything we weren't comfortable with, and that meant the world to us. Most recently, Martin experienced a very serious medical emergency with a fever of 105 degrees. Diane and her team responded immediately, arriving at our home in what felt like the blink of an eye. They cared for Martin as if he were their own dog, showing the same love, urgency, and attention they would give a member of their own family. In one of the scariest moments we've experienced as pet owners, they gave us comfort, confidence, and exceptional care. One of the greatest gifts Pawsome Pet Care offers is bringing veterinary care into your home. Anyone who has had a sick or aging pet knows how stressful it can be to load them into the car, drive to a clinic, and then sit in a waiting room while they're frightened, uncomfortable, or in pain. Instead, Martin was able to remain in the comfort and familiarity of his own home, surrounded by the people who love him. That alone made an incredible difference in his care and his comfort. They have cared for both of our dogs as though they were part of their own family. The truth is, after everything they've done for us, Diane and her team have become part of ours. Their kindness, professionalism, knowledge, and genuine love for animals shine through in every interaction. If you're looking for compassionate, knowledgeable, and truly exceptional veterinary care, I cannot recommend Pawsome Pet Care highly enough. Don't hesitate to call Diane and her team. Your pets will be treated with love, dignity, and the highest level of care, and you'll quickly understand why they mean so much to our family.

Do Not Use These People. I Repeat: Do Not Go Here!…read more I just recently had an emergency making my daughter's lunch. A small grape slipped out of my hand, hit the floor, and my golden doodle snatched it up. I checked online, saw how bad and even fatal grapes could be for dogs, so I didn't hesitate. I took her to the "St. Johns Affordable Vet," the closest one to my house. I got there at 8 a.m. on the dot when they opened. Told them the situation. They were "waiting on the doctor" to get in--who apparently strolls in whenever. The young technician, "Angie," took some notes and gave me two options: wait around for the doctor or leave the dog. I didn't feel comfortable with that because I read online you've got about a 2-hour window for the effects of grape toxicity to show. This was time-sensitive--that's why I came in as soon as they opened. The conversation went south when Angie seemed more concerned with getting me to sign off on a laundry list of things that had nothing to do with the emergency. I made it clear the reason I was there was to expedite the cleansing process and flush the dog of potential toxins from the grape. She went outside, called the doctor, came back and said he'd be there in 20 minutes, and then immediately went back to pushing that paper for approval--blood work and all kinds of extras. I stopped and asked if the blood work had anything to do with the toxins from the grape, since that was the actual emergency. She said, "We aren't an emergency vet." So I asked again: what's the blood work for? She replied, "I thought you said you wanted to check her liver lipids and thyroid panel." At that point I lost it. Here I am, worried about my dog who could potentially die of kidney failure from a damn grape, and this brand new tech is trying to upsell me on stuff I (1) never asked for and (2) don't need. And this list added up to just under $300 without addressing the urgent need to flush my dog's system. I told them I was leaving, since wasting time there was only making things worse. By then it was about 8:40 a.m., 40 minutes since I arrived. I asked the tech her name, Angie, young African-American woman, for descriptive purposes if anyone else walks in there. She basically told me to go. When I mentioned I was going to make people aware of the situation, her attitude shifted slightly, but then she just ran in the back and hid. Long story short: St. Johns Affordable Vet is anything but affordable. You'll waste time, you'll waste money, and you could lose your pet. Never once did I ask about a thyroid panel or liver lipids. To Angie: I know you'll read this. You seem like a young vet tech, probably just out of school. My daughter is 9 and wants to be a vet. Maybe ask yourself why you chose this career. Was it to help animals in need? Or to upsell vulnerable people in emergencies? I get the business side you've got to make money but this is a medical industry. In emergencies, you don't push extras. You fix the problem quickly. To the owner of this place: Shame on you. Clearly, these young techs are coached to push blood work and B.S. on everyone to drive up costs. That attitude comes from the top. You shouldn't be in business. I never write bad reviews, but people need to know about this. It also looks like they delisted themselves off of Google Maps to hide other poor reviews. This place is the lowest of the low.
