The main reason why I chose to come here was the proximity to where I live. It's nice to walk here! I didn't have any expectations. I ended up liking it because I felt it's down to earth and the people there were friendly but not overly friendly in your face kind of friendly if you know what I mean lol. I tried a few classes but I personally like Joji's and Andrew's classes most. They're patient and gentle and exude a calmness. And they encouraged yogis to go at their own pace. I'm not a fan of going to a yoga class as a pure workout with a high energy instructor. If I wanted that then I would go to a class at the gym haha. But different people different preference. I'm glad I found some classes that I like. And I hope to explore other classes too when time allows.

The Barefoot Ballroom is upstairs, and as the name suggests, this is a shoes off facility. The lobby downstairs is welcoming and has two restrooms, along with another room used for classes. The upstairs Barefoot Ballroom is where I took both of my class types. I was a little curious about the ceiling height for aerial yoga since it is a regular height ceiling rather than a tall studio, but it ended up not being an issue at all for the class. Everything was set up well and we had plenty of room to move. I also love that they offer virtual classes, so you can even take hula classes from home . That is such a fun option if you want to learn something Hawaiian while you are away from the islands. Overall, a welcoming studio with great instructors and a nice variety of classes. It was great decision. They use the mindbody app to book classes and there were plenty of options to choose from. The yoga studio is located up the stairs and there is plenty of parking adjacent to the building or in the side lot. There is quite a variety of instructors and each tend to teach the same time each week. I want to name bomb instructors but frankly there were so many good ones who each have their own style that i dont want to leave anyone out. The classroom isn't that large so the classes are normally between 4 to 8, and the instructors know you by name and offer a lot of personal direction and support. I highly recommend this for locals and travelers alike as you can pay per month or class or group of classes. The introductory rate is a great deal. All the equipment is provided but you could bring your own if you want. The facility has a water cooler and showers. The website could use some work but if you call, they are very responsive and will get you started. Also the class is great for those new to yoga or those experienced. Don't be intimidated. My second yoga class ever was inversions.

I wanted to see if this was the overall vibe here, and tried to book a class with a different instructor the next day. Unfortunately, classes were canceled due to the storm. I'll have to wait for my next trip to find out. A single session here costs $45 per individual class, whereas it's $39 at my studios in Southern California. Also, you might want to give yourself some extra time to get here. My Uber dropped me off in a spot where I had to explore to get to my destination.
