I responded that for $1000 more, I wanted to get other quotes prior to proceeding. I did get another quote from a stucco guy highly recommended by my builder for $3500. Texted Zack back, saying I wasn't comfortable working with someone who changes their price after a signed agreement. Said he could keep travel expenses and return the rest of the deposit. He claimed he had already bought all the supplies. Who buys supplies when they are told the job was on hold? Anyway, they are evidently going to keep my $500. Fine, I have a stucco guy I can trust and am still $1500 ahead.

His quote was also much higher than what Bander offered and in my opinion he wanted to do a lot of unnecessary work for my situation. The issue I had was mortar erosion between bricks on a home I just purchased recently. When I called Bander my call was answered immediately and all communication thereafter was timely. When I first called, I spoke to Mike who got me scheduled for an estimate. Mike was able to come to my property quickly and was on time. Mike was very professional and took time to go over the work needing to be done. The price he quoted me was very fair and I put down the required deposit and told him to go ahead and put me on the schedule. I was told that it would be a few weeks before they could come do the work which was fine. I was actually scheduled much sooner than I thought I would be. The work done went above and beyond anything I was expecting. Since we had agreed to only fix the problem areas lacking mortar between bricks I thought only the really bad spots would be fixed. That said, everything that even looked like it needed work was tended to and the job was so good that all the repairs they did blend in very well with what was already there. The work done was very meticulous and attention was given to every detail. Once the work was completed great care was taken to clean up the area as well. Overall I am extremely happy with the work done by Bander and will definitely contact them in the future for more work when the time comes.

I had noticed that the kitchen stove was tilting down at the left rear corner. In addition, a…read morecloset door along the same wall had started closing by itself. Just as others have said, calling and talking with Susan was a great first contact with the business. Unlike many service companies, she is quite familiar with the company and its approach to their work. (I later learned that she had been a customer and eventually started working with them - a truly excellent review in itself.) It turned out that the ends of some of the joists in the crawl space were resting on crumbling 70 year old concrete. The solution was to employ a metal support beam from close to the entrance of the crawl space all the way to the back wall as close to the crumbing side wall as possible to support the leaning joists. Once the work was done, I was surprised to see that nothing seemed to have changed. I was advised to wait a few days and that they would look to come back to make final adjustments in a couple of months. Three days later, the closet door stopped closing by itself. By the end of the week, it stayed put wherever on its path I moved it to. Another week and I could see that the low corner of the range had improved a little. It's been a bit more than a month now and I have gradually lost my fear that the kitchen floor would collapse as I was cooking. The cost was exactly as quoted, although they did more work than they had originally planned to. Just Dry Basement is an excellent, fully professional organization. I suggest that you call them without any hesitation. I can tell you that I have received no remuneration of any kind for writing this positive review and feel sure that no one else has either. They are simply that good!

I can tell you that not only are they the best at what they do, but it also helps to deal w/ genuine people who actually care about their craft, and get the job done right. From being on time to explaining in detail everything they were going to do, it was the smoothest transition dealing with the situation at hand. I don't understand how they don't have any reviews yet. Their craftsmanship is by far the best I have seen in the northeast. They ripped out our whole front and shared steps in a Mayfair row home. We've been battling water leakage in our living room for years. We've had several contractors…read more(roofing, window, etc) try to find the source of the problem to no avail. Ultimately they suggested it could be a problem with the stones in the wall. Disciple came out, recommended a strategy of replacing a couple of stones, re-pointing the rest of the area and applying sealant over the whole section. Work was scheduled promptly. The guys were very friendly and professional. The job was finished within 10 days (mortar needed to cure before sealant could be applied) and it looks great. Now we have to wait for a horrific rainstorm to see if that solves the problem.

Very frustrating as it's raining a lot lately and we want our external stucco wall repaired before any water damage occurs. I guess maybe they don't need my business?
