This year, my "26 in 26" goal is to visit 26 local businesses that are either brand new to me, or that I haven't visited in a longggg time. Overflow Taps definitely fits in the latter category. A Barkley Village staple, Overflow has been around for awhile now. It's a great spot to stop in for a pint or glass of something tasty on tap. They feature small breweries, cideries, and wineries and have a broad enough selection that it would be hard not to find something good to drink here. They also offer some NA options like hop water, and even have a cooler with cans to go. I was more than pleased to see they've added a few, simple food options too. (Helllooooo Cajun tots!) I hadn't visited Overflow since attending one of their pre-covid Clean Water Happy Hours, but was invited last night to watch the Seahawks game with friends. It was a light but fun crowd, enjoying the cozy ambiance together as we cheered the 'Hawks to victory (with the help of one especially enthusiastic staff member/superfan who sported a Seahawks flag-cape and got the crowd roaring together for every first down). Here's to good beer and a friendly atmosphere at Barkley Village. I'll definitely be adding Overflow back into my regular rotation! read more

Overflow is our local place, just down the road from home. We like the feel of the place, we often bring cribbage to enjoy while we have a beer. The rotating taps means trying new and different beers, wines, sours, and ciders. The food is also a surprise. The pizza is made of a nan-like bread with cheese and pepperoni. The chicken wings are boneless and all three sauce choices are very tasty. We've had a couple of favorites when it comes to the tap tenders, unfortunately.there seems to be a fair bit of turnover here at Overflow and they are rarely around long. I have encountered one of the owners during a visit (his face is all over their marketing) but unfortunately, he wasn't very friendly. I brought in my growler to have it filled and he said they don't fill growlers anymore, "they just don't fit into our business". Yeah, I guess I don't fit in too well there anymore, either. There is a TV in the corner and they usually have games on, depending on the season. Music is usually playing and depends on who is working. We've been there for trivia night (though we didn't participate). It was very loud, that was for sure!! read more

Dustin is the coolest beertender! My daughter and I love their pizza, wings and cajun tots. Also fun to grab Poke from across the street and bring it over. Fun, chill place to hang out and drink a few beers or cider. read more

Our favorite date night spot in Bellingham! Grab a table and a beer. Play a game of cribbage or Yahtzee while you wait on your pizza to be delivered from MOD pizza! Then catch a late movie across the street. Always a great beer selection and not just Bellingham beers. These guys go out of their way to bring in top notch beers from the whole west coast. Check their Facebook page or Instagram for fun events, too! Block parties, sunset happy hour, tap takeovers, corn hole tournaments. I come here often. It's a 2.5 mile run from my house and it's a treat when the sun is shining for hard work! Jesse and Adam are the co-owners and are very knowledgeable and supportive of the local community. Pints give back through their $.25 of every pint to providing clean water- so your drinking is also for social good. I haven't been to Barkley Village in a while so finding this place was a happy accident! I just popped in to see what it was all about and look at the beer selection, but the bartender was so friendly and nice and helpful that I decided to stay for a taste of an interesting beer - which led to buying a glass of this amazing blonde beer. Leeshi, The bartender, was fun to chat with, knowledgeable about the beer selection, and helped me to have a fun time while I was there. They have a little back area with one long table that looks like a great place to meet up with friends - so I plan to come back soon and introduce some friends to this great place! read more

Overflow is a welcome addition to the Barkley 'neighborhood'. It is open and inviting and I love the garage door which allowed a nice breeze to circulate while I enjoyed my beer. I'm anticipating the fireplace will be nice and cozy in the winter as well. The beer selection is excellent and while they are brand new they haven't rotated many of the taps but Im looking forward to getting to try new beers as they rotate . Other Barkley establishments should be ashamed for their 'weak' beer choices but that should only make Overflow a more interesting destination for the ever growing Whatcom county beer enthusiasts that live and work in the Barkley neighborhood. Lastly, the service is always great and very personal and I really appreciate that as it is sometimes hard to find in Bellingham. read more

This place rocks!! The bartenders are always so nice. You can sample cider and beer before you buy a glass. You can also pay in advance for a drink for first responders, teachers, nurses and a few other professions. I really think that aspect is neat. Every other week on Mondays they host a trivia night which is a total kick in the pants. Hungry? You can bring your food in. Pro tip- MOD pizza delivers here and ONLY here. We order from their app! There are other restaurants around so you can get whatever food you'd like and bring it along. The establishment is cozy and perfect to get together with friends. read more

This place is a perfect addition for the Barkley area! We came on a date night friday and was impressed how packed it was at 5 pm! I wasn't so impressed with the selection of beer..i wanted to get the illuminati but it was already out.. as we sat enjoying our beverages Jimmy John's came and delivered free sandwiches my husband was all about that! unfortunately a car was parked outside and were caught injecting drugs and the bartender was really on top of it by going to them and confronting them and calling the cops...i would like to try again and hope for better beer options its a great meet up location read more

Overflow Taps is by far one of my favorite breweries in town. They have a great beer and cider selection and even have some wines on the menu. My company rented out the space for a private party and it was a total hit! The staff are friendly and accommodating, the space is warm and welcoming, and the beer of course is delicious. Barkley Village taphouse with a great selection of beer, cider and vino. There is also a root beer and a couple other non-alcoholic options. Big windows and a cozy fireplace with lots of seating, makes for a great place to meet up. Across the street from the Regal cinema theater. I had a gluten-free blonde (Ghostfish), and the Ginja Ninja cider, all while "donating to the cause". A solid 25 cents from every purchase goes to charities for clean drinking water locally. They've also built a well for a village in Ethiopia. $21k to date on my visit! With their great selection of beverages they make it easy to raise a glass and say, "I'll drink to that." read more

Great neighborhood place with good selection of local brews and various styles. They have something for everyone, whether its beer, wine or cider. Staff was super friendly and inviting. Nice place to sit and enjoy a beer with the garage door open on a sunny afternoon (and looks like they have a fireplace to warm things up on the gloomy ones).
