I was interested in having Overhead Storage Solutions provide and install overhead racks in our garage so I called for more information/a quote. I never received a response other than a text message asking my location. I responded (we live in LA county) and received nothing back. Reached out again and still nothing. Very disappointing considering the amazing reviews. We were excited to get our garage organized and now have to find a different "solution". read more

Rick is extremely pushy. Tells potential customers he will give a quote then shows up and does what he thinks will be best for you, the customer. Rick informed us he does not give quotes once he arrived at our home. Rick continues to tell customers he has the best steel and bad talks his competitors saying, "they all have shit from China." Bad customer service and does not give the customer an option on what they would like. read more

Rick was fantastic! All the other companies I called had a 4-6 week wait time for installation due to COVID, but rick was able to come 2 days after I reached out. He managed to fit two overhead units above my garage and he was in and out in less than 2 hours. Prices are fair and his work is quality. Highly recommend. Pros- Premium overhead racks, installed quickly. Cons- Horrible customer service. They installed a rack close to a garage door sensor wire without moving the wire or even warning me that it was even there. Shortly after he left, I put a bin up and it cut the wire that led to a series garage door related expenses that totaled $460 to repair. The installer and possible owner, Rick, denied any responsibility without even listening to my complaint and blew me off for 3 months. Finally after about 20 calls and text messages he had his office person, Heather, call me. After carefully detailing my complaint, which included my complete dissatisfaction of their customer support, she completely dismissed my complaint, initially offered only $100 to cover the damages that was a direct result of the installation. I initially offered to accept less than half of what I paid in repairs as a direct result of their installation. When we could not come to an agreement on the amount, she told me that I wasted 45 minutes of her time (like her time is more important than mine) This is a shame because several neighbors, my real estate agent and the California Closets salesperson all asked me where I got these awesome racks in the garage, I am so disappointed in their lack of service that I cannot recommend their service to anyone. I am sure there are other companies that provide a similar service, I suggest you seek them out. Last note, Rick told me I had a lifetime warranty on the product and installation. Based on this experience, I would doubt he would ever follow though on that for anyone. read more

I almost regret in posting my bad experience for this company since my husband & i have used them before and was very please with their service and product a few years ago. We were so pleased that we wanted to solicit their services again. This is where our experience all fell apart. I called the contact 3 weeks ago & he recommended that he can do it the following Sat. No show, & I called him no answer. Then he called back promising to come the following Sat. No show & I called him that day. This time he called 4 hours after the scheduled appointment & said that he was sick. Ok I get that & proceeded to schedule an appt this Saturday. No show, no call back. I should have learned my lesson on the 2nd time, but, I was hoping that he can redeem himself. So, I would not recommend someone like this that cannot make their commitment! read more

met them at the home & Garden Show, Great sale pitch. they came out took a look and told me they can go on top of the beams and move the existing plywood that was already there. the guess at the show is the only estimate you get apparently. Didn't care for the ideas on how to... decided not to go forward. The good part your not told is that there is a charge for them coming out, $50.00. No! I decided not to pay, just not the same attitude that was at the show. They say they can do any & all garage's , These idea's were crap. I have other storage ideas, that i will now pursue, that old saying comes to mind, Be careful of what you wish for. read more

I called to have garage shelves installed in our new home. Ashley was very helpful over the phone and was able to send someone out the next day. Dan came prepared with a book of photographs and gave ideas about best placement. We ended up putting them over the garage door so they couldn't be seen from the street, which I would not have thought of on my own without his suggestion. He took the time to walk me through the pluses and minuses of each placement option. Fantastic service and was done in an hour. Dan left everything spotless. Called Rick in the morning and he said Dan could come over in about an hour to give me an estimate. He checked in two more times to let me know exactly when Dan was going to show up. Dan called when he was on the way and showed up ready to address my needs. We came up with a plan and I asked when he could come back and install the two platforms. He said he could do it right then and it would only take about an hour. He installed two units and cleaned up and that was that. Hello, I met Josh at our local home and garden show here in Bakersfield, California last Friday, 10/20/17. The product seemed to make much sense for our situation as having a standard two car garage, thus Josh convinced me to have him personally visit our home & install a storage rack for a total of $399.00. No commitment from myself in any way! One of his employees arrived on the time & date agreed upon. Then things went WAY bad. After measuring walls, ceiling height, etc., I decided not to move forward. Must assume that this company rejects potential customers as myself, as the employee departed, told me "F...k you"! Less than 30 minutes later his "boss", Josh, called me to ask "why I wanted to screw a little company like his, told me I was a f...king bastard" and hung up!! Best product, professional installation and service, I am very happy with every detail of the entire process.

Called on Friday and racks were installed the next day. A bit on the pricey side when you compare to all the other rack installers. Problem was when I called two of the other companies they told me they could NOT install racks in a stucco ceiling. Overhead said they could, so had no choice but pay extra. Worth it to finally clean up our garage. Sorry to see so many 1 star reviews since this company was the only one that could do the job for us. read more

Several years ago we discovered OSS at our local Home & Garden show. We had them come to our home and install their product. Not only were they professional but they gave us ideas on how to best place the storage units. Excellent, Timely and 100% efficiency. Very Pleased with the new very strong and sturdy storage area. Great customer service! Ashley patiently waited for a schedule to open up over a span of 7 weeks and we kept in touch ever so often to see if there was an opening. FINALLY got our (2) 4x6 overhead racks and (1) wall rack installed by Dan who was very helpful in recommending what rack sizes would be beneficial for our needs. The other companies I contacted only offered the 4x8's and another company representative was sort of smug so I didn't go with them. I called yesterday about getting overhead garage shelves installed. Ashley walked me through all the options and the pricing over the phone. She was able to send Dan out the same day. Dan was very professional, called to let me know when he was running late, and was very helpful in choosing a spot for the shelves. He even patiently talked me through the options as I took forever to make a decision. It took him less than an hour to install two shelves and they look great. I had wanted grey but they were out of stock so I went with white. They aren't a bright white, more of a dusty white and they look really nice. My husband had this company come out to take a look at our garage because we really needed help. Our garage was packed from floor to ceiling with stuff. We had another company come out and they wouldn't do the install until the garage was clean. So Rick at Overhead Storage Solutions said that we didn't have to clean anything before they came out. (Miracle) He and his helper moved everything they needed to get the racks installed. They took their time and did such a great job. I mean I can't believe they didn't it. My garage looks amazing and now I see the floor once again and even park my car in there. Met them at the home show. Gave a deposit and made my appointment for a few weeks after the show. They called a few days prior to the date saying they didn't have enough motors and needed to reschedule. At the time I didn't have my calendar on me so I needed to call them back. When I did a few days later, they asked why I cancelled the first appointment. I had to tell them that they cancelled it due to not having enough motors. They automatically went to why did I, not them, cancel. So I rescheduled for a few weeks later. The day prior to installation, no phone call to confirm. So we made several calls and sent text messages to make sure of the arrival window. The morning of, we received a text from Ashely saying our installation wasn't until Thursday. There was NO WAY I made it for that date. I even made an appointment for my dogs to be groomed so they were out of the garage. But we waited this long so we will wait again (missed a day of work). The day before, they called my husband asking several questions including if it was a motorized lift. After SEVERAL phone calls back and forth, it was a nightmare. No you didn't talk to me, no you don't need to send us pictures, yes we need pictures, no we can't cut into drywall, yes we can, it goes on and on. What an unorganized company! No one talks to anyone! As much as I wanted this system, they were so sketchy I will do without! Something just seemed off. When we finally told them that we changed our mind and we would just like our deposit back, no one called us to ask why. Or tell us that they received our message. Nothing. Its been 3 days without a word from them. I have a feeling I'm not going to get my deposit back, which worries me. read more

Saw these folks in May at a street fair in Hermosa Beach. Very convincing- everything looked good. Set-up an appointment for the following Friday- but they never showed- not even the courtesy of calling to let me know that they were running late. Finally, 35 minutes after the 2-hour block of time that they were supposed to be there had expired, they text me to tell me they would be there in another 45 minutes. No thanks- they have no respect for my time- or the common decency to have called me sooner than that.
