My wife and I always had an anxiety thinking about how to pack our entire house when we finally decide to move, but with RC Moving team, all we had to do is step back and watch them work. Once they packed everything carefully on Tuesday, that includes disassembling all the furniture, they came back on Wednesday and packed it all into a huge truck and carefully moved it all to our new house. They then moved all the boxes to the proper place based on the labels, assembled all of our furniture (couches, beds, etc...). And the following day even had a person come in to help us unpack all of our boxes. We were really short on time and needed to unpack quickly as we had family coming from out of town to stay with us. RC Moving basically moved us in 3 days including packing, moving and unpacking everything. It was like copy and paste operation! Very impressive, nothing broke or was damaged. Very professional team! Three movers arrived about 30 minutes earlier than scheduled, which was awesome and immediately showed professionalism and respect for time. They were extremely methodical in the way they wrapped and packaged everything. Nothing felt rushed. Before unloading at the new residence, they made sure they clearly understood where each item was supposed to go, which made the entire process smooth and efficient. At the end, the main driver even invited me to step inside the truck to inspect it and make sure nothing was left behind. That level of detail and accountability stood out to me. The only minor issue, and this has nothing to do with the movers themselves, was during scheduling. The person on the phone did not mention that there are additional charges for moves exceeding 15 miles. Because of that, I had to pay a bit extra. So my advice is simply: when booking, make sure to ask about mileage overages beyond 15 miles so there are no surprises. However, no voicemails were left to let me know they were available earlier or on their way. When I spoke with Sean the supervisor, I was told the movers had been sent home because they "couldn't keep waiting on me," and that I would now have to wait until another crew finished their job around 4:30 PM. I was also told that the company does not leave voicemails and would not admit to any communication issues, trying to push responsibility on me and then the person who booked the appt for me since I said I was told arrival time was 2-3 not 11am-3pm. We all get excessive spam calls, it's not difficult to leave a voicemail to say "hello, this is SCV movers calling and we are on the way to arrive by 2pm window." You are business, you leave messages if you are trying to reach a client for a scheduled service. This level of communication and lack of professionalism is extremely disappointing--especially as a 2x returning customer.

They came right about 15 minutes after the end of the arrival window which actually worked out well so we could prepare more for them, but overall everything was faster than they/we estimated which is great when you're paying by the hour. They used supplies we had bought from Home Depot and Amazon, plus their own for the wardrobe and other big things. One glass jar was broken in the unpacking process and they were quick to apologize and clean it up the best they could. While they ask customers to leave a review (totally understandable), I appreciate that they don't incentivize for them nor do they demand 5 stars. We'll be calling for them again, no doubt.
