Wow, this is a really cool park right in the 'New Downtown' of Oviedo! It sits on a 108-acre mixed use development surrounding Center Lake Park which has two amphitheaters, a dog park, splash pad, swan and paddle boat rentals ($5), a lakeside promenade, playground, and large indoor event center that can be rented for wedding reception, party's and other events. In the surrounding area there a several other eateries, restaurants, an ice cream shop, The Food Factory (Food Hall) which has live music, a gorgeous indoor pub (Park Pub), along with other retail shops and luxury apartments. This park is very nice. This is the first time we came here we walked around. They have two outside theaters one is large one is small. They also had an event space. You can rent the Little swan boats for $5. I have a park and splash pad for the kids. Some restaurants and shops across the street. Beautiful area read more

A very nice park in Oviedo. Parking can sometimes be difficult, especially during the evening and weekends, but it is free. Better free parking can be found in the strip malls. The park is very beautiful with lots of fountains, including a large one on the lake. There are various restaurants, apartment complex, and shopping areas around the park. You can also rent a swan boat and buy food for the fishes. The kids can play in the playground while enjoying ice cream at Bruster's. The great restaurants within walking distance includes Tabla, Jinya, TJs, and Marlow's. It's just a wonderful park for a nice walk, eating out, playing, or shopping. Overall: A read more

I had no idea this park was here! We came into the area to find a certain restaurant (which I will also review) and stubbled onto this GREAT little area for Oviedo. Oh my goodness the splash pad and playground were a hit with my 10 year old. They have an amphitheater and little swan boats you can rent out to go out on the little lake. They have a concession stand to get very reasonable treats both salty and sweet. I loved the permanent checkerboards on the benches that could be used as little tables or bring your own pieces for a game! There is a lot of space where you can chillax while your kids play and they have a lot of events that happen here. I am going to keep my eyes open and attend one sometime and check out the people vibes. There are restaurants and shopping everywhere. I am SO IMPRESSED! This place was just a LITTLE past where my usual activities take me so its a testimony to getting just a BIT outside of your area and find new places to treasure! read more

What a cool area! They really built this up with lots of restaurants, shops, activities, a dog park, apartments and an event center. And there seemed to be plenty of free parking, with street parking, a few areas scattered around the lake, and a parking lot just north of the Event Center. Now that I know this is here, I plan on coming back to check out more events, the Food Factory food hall, and a return trip to the Crazy Cork wine bar. We love Oviedo on the park. It is fun for all ages. There is a beautiful lake that has swan boats. You can rent the swan boats to paddle in the lake. You can also stop by the cantina and buy a bag of fish food and feed the fish, and turtles. There is also a kids park that is fully covered which is nice. If you haven't been you must go. read more

I love this park, it's adorable. It definitely leans towards the older kids. My son didn't start to really enjoy it until after he was two (except for the splash pad). Plenty of tables to sit at and enjoy. A small community library houses fish food for 25c: there are fish, turtles, ducks and birds. There is a nice raised area with Adirondack chairs over looking the lake and the splash pad area. The only reason I left off a star is that there are no swings and parts of the playground could use replacing due to wear and weather. read more

I attended Oktoberfest at Oviedo on the park last night. This is an annual event put on by the City of Oviedo located at Center Lake Park Amphitheatre & Cultural center. The event featured beer, food and entertainment by German musicians. This is the second time I've attended this event. The event was very crowded and there was no place to sit under the big tent. Get there early to get a spot. The beer was electronic payments only and we had to scan a QR code/ pay before we could even get beer. They only accepted that payment and no cash or card. The line was also long for the beer. Maybe more beer stands are needed? We wanted to get authentic German food but there was just one food truck that had it and the line for it was a mile long. I hope the event organizers have more authentic German food options next time. We settled for just getting pretzels at a different food truck that had a shorter line. Overall we had fun. read more

Loved this park. Loved the walking path and the mural and the whole set up as well as how walkable it is. This really is a nice area and a great place for a walk with my pup. Oviedo on the Park is a cool little park area with plenty around to do. There are nearby restaurants and nice walkways around the lake. The lake is not all that large, but it provides a nice place to walk around and enjoy it. This is the kind of place you cone to spend time with someone in a nice environment. Round the lake the is a playground, a small dog park area (I do mean small) a service memorial, a snack window., and swan boats you can rend. All around enjoyable area to spend a little time. We had actually grabbed a pizza from a nearby joint and walked over to sit at one of the outdoor tables to eat it. There were definitely other people enjoying the area, but not overly crowded. read more

Great place to walk around and get some exercise in at nighttime or during the day. They have great restaurants around, Swan rides, a playground, splash pad, and a fenced in area for dogs to run around, get a drink and play! My lady bug always has a great time and I love that we can go by ourselves when no one is there inside the doggie area bc she does not do well with other doggies unfortunately. Oviedo has certainly grown since I moved to Orlando in 2001 and this park is a testament to the growth that this once sleepy town just outside of Orlando has experienced. It is by no means a huge park, but it is very well laid out. There is a stage, a dog park, swan boats to paddle upon the little lake, a playground, a "cantina" to grab a snack, and more. This park is a welcome addition to Oveido and by the people there enjoying a Sunday, the local residents agree with me and embrace this bastion of the sentiment of community. I shall return here. I seen they frequently have shows on the stage. They, in fact, were advertising an upcoming comedy show. Maybe I will check it out. As an overview, this park is a great place that serves a very positive experience to the residents of Oveido and the surrounding area. It shows that this town is more than a quiet place next to Orlando. read more

Oviedo on the Park is a newly developed part of town with some great amenities! There is a small lake/pond called Center Lake with a fountain in the middle. Surrounding the pond is a playground, splash pad, dog park, bathrooms, and a concession stand. You can even rent swan boats to ride around the lake. The splash pad is a good size and it is free. It's not gated so you'll have to monitor your kids closely (which parents should be doing anyway). There are some good restaurants around the area and they are still adding more. There is a lot of new housing popping up. They occasionally have outside events at the park and they can host private events in their indoor pavilion. I wish there was a little more shade, but overall this is a clean and well organized park. read more

Oviedo on the Park has a small fountain lake with walking path, amphitheatre, cantina, dog park, picnic tables, marina with swan boats, playground, splash pad, and a beautiful veterans memorial tribute: missing in action. There are spaces to rent for private events, and this location is also used for public events as well. It's surrounded by shops, dining, apartments/condos, and business, and is pedestrian friendly. I've only been here to stroll the lake during slow days but I would predict parking is an issue during events so plan accordingly. read more

We love coming to hang out at Oviedo on the Park. I still can't believe this park is here still. I grew up here and my whole life these were orange groves. I'm glad they built a park for the kids to play. Can't wait for it to get warm enough to enjoy the splash pad again! We also come here for the Food Truck events. I really enjoy hearing my littles giggles as she experiences new people and makes memories. This review is strictly for the "dog park." Definitely NOT worth the trip. Two stars for incorporating an area for dogs into the park, but that's about it. The "dog park" is super tiny, like something you might expect to find at an apartment complex or hotel. Lined with fake turf grass, which I find a bit gross. There's a splash pad and playground for the kids near the cantina shack, so parents can easily keep an eye on their children in a safe and visible area while relaxing. My family went and saw the Nutcracker hosted at the park. Great outdoor event that also observed social distancing. The park is kinda small, but amazing. Even the staff is amazing. My wife also took my daughter to a build a bear event for Christmas, and they both came home raving about how good it was. We love this park. read more

Hidden behind apartment complexes is a lake bordered by a splash park, a dog park, a playground, and swan paddle boat rentals! This park is meant to be used by its local community and it was so fun to see parents and kids interacting with such familiarity. The area and its frequent visitors make you wish you lived nearby too! I visited with my niece and nephew (12 & 8) and they ran around the park having a blast alongside what appeared to be 2-6 year olds. There's even a cute area that has a giant garden chess board and it's topped with bistro lights! The swan paddle boats were closed but would've been so awesome to ride. There was a small amphitheater and stage - I'm sure they show movies or have live performances during the summer and holidays. Oviedo on the Park is clean, welcoming, and absolutely charming. A great place to live near or visit often if you have little ones or maybe even for a date (romantic swan paddle boat ride anyone?) haha. read more

Ovideo On The Park rejuvenated my feelings about parks. They where hosting this annual Battle of the Food Truck event with over twenty trucks. Which was great out door event for dog lovers, families, and friends alike. The park itself has multiple amenities from main stage area, swan boats, and dog park. SUUUUUUPER cute area! Love love loveeee the landscaping and all the wonderful scenery around! I walked my friend's dogs with her around this area a few times and we also went for a run on a separate occasion. There was one time that we happen to be passing through this area when they were doing a craft fair here and it was wonderful! Very busy, but wonderful! The only missing from this area is a nice little late-night restaurant type bar! Can't wait for one of those to open!!! read more

There is still development going on but it's nice to see there is a lot of food here if your a foodie , and a little park and water spot for the children, very small but cute . A favorite spot when in Oviedo visiting family. I like to check the events calendar and plan trips to the park. Recently we have gone to the Halloween, Tree Lighting, and Build a Bear events. Each one was a blast for adults and kids. The lake is such a relaxing sight and they have a nice shaded play area for kids. Bathrooms are always clean and they have a small concessions stand, I recommend the avocado popsicle. (Healthy & delish!) They also have swan boats that we haven't tried, and there are a few restaurants in the area to enjoy after or do takeout for a picnic on the lawn. read more

I appreciate Oviedo creating a new space for locals to come out and enjoy the outdoors. They did a nice job with the area although I do feel it's a bit small. I know everyone is freaking out about the splash pad but I think it's fine and many parents are just scouting out problems. I wish I could let my dog enjoy the splash pad though :( lol Dog park is cute but way too small and the water fountain is already broken and leaking and wasting water... please fix ASAP. I looked into prices to rent facility and it's VERY pricey which is a bummer but it's a beautiful location to throw an event right next to the water and a modern flare. Children's play park is adorable and creative. I think we will just need to see where they go with this and if it plans on being expanded anymore. More shade is also always appreciated (especially at dog park). One bench is in shade and the other completely exposed to the elements. Kind of awkward. read more

Great, clean little dog park...NO MUD! I do wish they had room for a small dog side, though mine loves big dogs, sometimes the play is too rough for his little body. Most dogs have been really receptive to playing with him. We Dog Parents for the most part are very responsible. Small but beautiful park in Oviedo to make this planned community complete. We stopped in at a restaurant by the park and really enjoyed a short stroll around the little lake here. There are life sized checkers you can play on the lawn and swan boats you can take out on the pond for a paddle. There is a tiny dog park to let your pup play with others that even has a hose to cool off on a hot day. The pond is full of fish and turtles and attracts beautiful birds. The concession stand for a snack, ice cream or beverage really makes this little park feel like a destination to take the family. The amphitheater is also small but nice for watching some live music from the lawn. Such a great little area with nice restaurants all in walking distance. I wish my own community had this nice of a gathering spot. read more

My husband and I come here an weekday evenings just to walk around and get fresh air after long work days. It seems like people are always around either taking their dogs on walks/going to the dog park or going to the playground/splash pad with their kiddos. We love how safe the park feels and how well lit it is in the evenings. We have also brought picnics out on the lawn and have just enjoyed our time outside. There are tons of amenities at this park and it all seems to be well maintained and manicured. We will continue to frequent this park as long as we live in the area. read more
