Horrible company...."Very Unprofessional Business Practices" Oviedo Towing Company falsely towed my vehicles and keep them for a ransom even after the details of the towing were revealed. Their staff was abusive, argumentative and continually changes the details of release. I had to report them to the Oviedo police department to get any cooperation to move forward. I hit a deer and my insurance company sent Oviedo Towing to tow my vehicle home. The driver called and asked if I wanted to use their body shop to fix my car. When I refused, saying that I would use whoever my insurance company recommends, they canceled my towing order. I will never use this company again, if I am given the choice! read more

just got my car towed and immediately had to jump on here to leave a review which I RARLEY do but the customer service from them was AWESOME wasn't sure who the woman I talked to was but she was super sweet and not 100% sure if this is the right name but the number that called said the name was Kenny and he was just awesome! so sweet and understanding, and showed up in literally under 10 mins! I'm a young small girl and it was late and we were at a gas station and he refused to leave till I had my ride there to make sure I was safe and I appreciated that so much! Way too extensive review... well deserved. This "business" deserves much less than 1 star. There wasn't a single encounter with one of these "professionals" both in the field and at their VERY poorly maintained "redeem" lot. Owners of retrieved cars are forced to self-drive their vehicle after making a $175 dollar, cash only, exact change payment to anyone at the payment window which is very clearly on its last leg (along with the rest of this junk "business") I was towed from an apartment complex by an auto-defensive "recovery specialist" which is expected out of this low job. I was professional and did not argue with him. Asked to grab my work bag from my trunk (while my car was completely hitched and about 4 feet off ground) which he reluctantly and rudely agreed. I was kind and professional to this man while he was towing away my car for the silliest reason I've ever heard (back in park job in a low-capacity lot in a huge complex). This is where all the shady and incriminating and overall negative reviews across all platforms of this business are Corroborated. After a towing incident many years ago I did not take due diligence to cover all my legal bases and evidentiary proofs. Upon pickup of my vehicle, I was strongly and defensively denied my request for any and all documentation with time stamps (another commonly seen topic in their reviews). This company blatantly violated many statues in FL towing law codes (715.07) "allegedly" according to my current active attorney against this company and the individuals who may or may not have violated many statues listed, some having felony punishments. Lawyer advises me to not say anything more than this regarding the ongoing issue and investigative/evidence gathering. The "man" is who was the person who towed my car was also our cashier/liaison at this junkyard impound lot. Without a word from my mouth at all, ha first words to me were declaring I was a straight up liar because I have video audio and witness evidence that this man "ALLEGEDLY" provided false information on official documentation in regards to his claims of what times he did things.... Because it is a violation on 715.07 to report a towed vehicle to the munjcal police department within no more than 30 minutes. His official and documented claim was very easily disproven by my time stamped security camera facing the incident. I was not given the option to drink down my car explicitly, but I asked him how Much that would cost and he explain it was "I don't know like 150-175" (which is an act that, allegedly if proven, violates 2 codes in the towing statues of Florida. My attorney and I have already identified 5-11 potential violations and criminal code violations, some with felony punishment, so far in just a day and a half. This review could have tripled with the bafflingly poor service standard, customer service, operations, safety, and obviously their alleged potential criminal activity (info falsification ) and blatant disregard for what seems, allegedly and using my own personal opinions, just about all codes on Florida Towing Practices 715.07. Do. Not. Trust. Or. Use. This. Company. Hole this helps potential parking violators and really opens the leaders of this... "business"' .... To the very shady, and potentially illegal and fraudulent practices paired with the worst customer service I've experienced. My greeting at the payment window was the man who towed my car skipping hellos or smalltalk and greets me with a "Why you such a straight up liar man" so that's nice and professional. I had a parking permit inside my window, management of my housing community was notified by email and by phone letting them know my car would be parked outside my home with a parking permit showing the dates and places on dash board inside my vehicle. I did everything I could and Oviedo Towing still towed my car. This community does NOT have a No Tolerance rule as my Dad is the Vice President of our community and board member. I repeat this community does NOT have a No tolerance rule. And still my vehicle was towed!!! This just goes to show you that people do NOT do their jobs and look to see if the permit was in the window as you can see in the picture. My car was parked under the street light and it is their job to look at the window to make sure there is an actual sign in window before towing vehicles!!!! How come they did not take flashlights to see there is a parking permit in the window!!!!!!! Rude people!!!! read more

But I was treated so incredibly rudely by the woman at the front desk and even blamed for being there waiting to be attended to because I hadn't called. Awful experience overall. read more

Illegally towed a car from in front of my house with correct parking pass in window & gave a couple different excuses but last one was that their driver was too tired to look at night , beings it was middle of the night . Went through a bunch of BS to pick up car that should not had been towed to begin with & 3 men there ..I won't even call them men when after an argument ensued & me being a woman the owner grabbed his private parts in front of me !! Despicable business & a bunch of low class slobs !! They perhaps need to get back in the cave where they seem to come from . Very rude , crude & low class business . It would have been a way different outcome if I had my man with me I'm sure ! They were reported to my HOA who contract with them & the matter will be taken as far as I can go !!! read more

They were dispatched to my son's accident scene by the Oviedo police before I arrived, so I had no ability to use someone else (someone more reputable). They refused to tow the vehicle to Orlando Mercedes without cash payment from me on the spot ( I did not have $180 cash on me ). They refused to accept payment from AAA, State Farm, also refused Visa, Mastercard, or American Express. The driver was extremely rude, and very nasty with me about it. They would only tow the vehicle to their tow yard, which required me to have it towed again the next day by another tow company. Oviedo towing is a terrible company to do business with, very unprofessional business policies, and the absolute rudest employees I have ever encountered. I hope you never find yourself in the situation of "having" to use them, as I was. I have written a letter to the Oviedo Mayor, and city council sharing my experience, and requesting they no longer be used as a vendor to the city of Oviedo. Just had to deal with them today and the girl "Regina" hanged up on me TWICE!!!!. Very unprofessional on the phone and "rambling" almost not allowing me to speak. She spoke to me like I was not a customer over the phone at all. I asked to speak to the manager or owner and she says "She is the daughter of the owner". Goodness very nasty person. When I went to their website to get information about their location, they advertise "professional" people. Well...the first person I certainly spoke to (Regina) definitely was not professional. I wonder what other fraud claims they advertise. Definitely would write UCF to report their business attitude and of course there's always Better Business Bureau to report nastiness. Then when we went to pick up our car, they added more amount to the dues. very expensive and not helpful at all. read more

I would rate a half-star if possible! Oviedo Towing LIED to me, to the police and LIED again & LIED again to me. Very dishonest!!!!! I needed my car towed ASAP to the Collision Center in Oviedo, Fl. I offered to pay cash, because they didn't take credit cards or check - only CASH. I wanted my car to get to the collision center to expedite the repairs. The Tow-truck driver, Travis, was supposedly on the phone with someone at the Collision Center to work out a check to be issued to the driver when they dropped off my car. I said, "I can pay cash just give me a receipt" and He said to me, "no we have it taken care of!". My insurance provider was on the phone the whole time with me, warning me that my vehicle would probably not make it to the Collision Center and would probably go to their tow lot. ( she predicted, "unless you follow them or are in the truck with them, it will not make it there"...and she was RIGHT!) The police officers were there with me, trying to help me to also make sure I was getting what I asked for. Even the police officer didn't understand why I couldn't just pay the tow-truck driver in cash. The officer also question the driver, Travis, and had him show her the address of where he was taking my car to; which was the Collision Center that I had requested. Well, as you guessed it, he lied to me, and the police officer!!! It never made it to the Collision Center. I got a call several hours later from my ins. provider that I needed to call the tow company to have them release my car to allow my ins. provider to send another tow truck to pick up my car from their lot and tow it to the Collision Center. It took almost a full day to get my car to the destination needed. Oh & by the way, Oviedo Towing is 2 miles from the Collision Center to which my car was supposed to be taken to directly! What a racket! Probably charged my ins. company a gigantic storage fee. I called Oviedo Towing and asked them if my car was at their lot? They said "yes". I asked them, "why didn't it go to the collision center like the driver told me he was going to do" . They told me the driver went to the Collision Center but they couldn't cut a check so he had to bring it back to the tow lot. I explained to her that my ins. provider warned me this would happen and that I was livid that this happened. Especially when I offered to pay cash to get it sent directly to Collision Center. Oviedo Towing claimed that it was not their fault and that they tried to drop it off but there wasn't a check ready for them. I called the collision center to find out why this happened. Guess what?....Oviedo Towing company lied again!!! The Collision Center told me that they have been working with Oviedo towing for 15 YEARS and that they know that "we DO NOT cut any checks to tow drivers". I asked if they tried to drop my car off. He put me on hold & he checked with his employees and guess what? Oviedo towing never even attempted to drop the car at the Collision Center like they told me they would. Summary: They are very, very dishonest. Several people in this company lied to me. I would save my money and NEVER patronize a company that feels they need to make their money thru dishonest measures. read more
