She shifted her body at one point which allowed me to I grab my bag and leave. I'm sure there's many things she can do well but I do not receive such treatment. 1 star -- Severe leg injury from laser treatment, then weeks of being ignored…read more I went in for my very first laser hair removal appointment on June 18th and left with severe burns/injuries covering both my legs (see photos). The marks were still visible almost two weeks later (i'm praying these are not permanent scars). I saw my own doctor on June 24th, who diagnosed an adverse skin reaction to the laser treatment, prescribed prescription-strength steroid cream and a prednisone taper, and explicitly advised me not to return for further treatment at this location. What made it worse was the response after: * The marks became visible the day after my appointment (Friday, June 19th). I was working all day and couldn't call, so I emailed them that same day asking if my legs -- badly swollen and itchy -- were a normal reaction. * Saturday, June 20th: I called right when they opened, since I still hadn't heard back on my email. I sent photos as requested. No callback all weekend, so I ended up at urgent care for a hydrocortisone prescription. * Monday, June 22nd: called again, was told the "lead nurse" would call me Tuesday. Also learned that the petroleum jelly they gave me at my appointment to apply afterward was actually making the injury worse (trapping heat) -- meaning their own staff handed me something that worsened my injury. * Tuesday, June 23rd: no call. Called again, was told the same thing. I also sent a second, detailed email that day explaining everything. Their site advertises a 24-hour email response; I never got one. * Wednesday, June 24th: saw my own doctor, who confirmed the severity and advised against continuing treatment. I called LaserAway to cancel my 8-session contract and was told a director would follow up in 24-48 hours. * I heard nothing. I had a beach vacation starting the very next day, and had to keep my legs covered and out of the ocean the entire trip because of this. * I followed up again after vacation (Monday, June 29th) and was told 24-72 business hours. * Got a callback the next day (Tuesday, June 30th), told -- again -- to send photos so a nurse could "look into it," with a callback promised for tomorrow (which is now today). As of writing this, every single promised callback in this process has either not happened or happened days late, so I'm not optimistic. I've since sent a formal written request for contract cancellation, a full refund, and reimbursement of my medical costs, along with my doctor's documentation. We'll see if that ever gets a response. This is a company whose entire business is aesthetics, and when they visibly injured a first-time client, the response was silence, contradictory advice, and stalling on a contract cancellation while the clock ran on my sessions. My vacation was negatively affected by their negligence. I would not recommend anyone start treatment here.

Dr. Ginn and everyone else who works with her have always been kind, patient, and thoughtful. I also appreciate how Dr. Ginn grows the careers of those who work with her. This doctor's office is the only one where I feel like everyone remembers who I am (whether I call or come in), which is a testament to Dr. Ginn's leadership and vision for her office. Dr. Ginn listens to her patients well. I was adamant that I didn't want to take oral medication. Later, when I wanted to be off all antibiotics, including topical ones, she found a way to make that work. I am so grateful that I found Dr. Ginn. I have never been one to wear makeup​ and I get many compliments on my complexion. Three important notes: 1) The products are pricey. Two people I know initially recommended Dr. Ginn to me and their skin was radiant. They told me that Dr. Ginn's methods were more expensive than traditional dermatologists. Still, on my initial visit, I had sticker shock. Dr. Ginn recommended a lot of products to me, which she sells. I told her I would think about it and come back to purchase. I looked online and found that the products were similarly priced so I went back to Dr. Ginn and purchased; I haven't questioned her since. The products are expensive but they last a long time. I think about it like I'm investing in my skin's future, especially now that she's moved​ me onto a lot of anti-aging concoctions. 2) If you are coming to Dr. Ginn for skin care, as I do, and have trouble following regimens or want to use all of your own products, then Dr. Ginn probably isn't for you. My full regimen takes about five minutes each morning and night, and it involves 7-10 different products. 3) I have always had to wait about 10 minutes for my appointment even when I arrive a few minutes early. If you are prepared to wait and do not have to be somewhere right after your appointment then you will do well with Dr. Ginn. The upside to the waiting is that I have never felt rushed before, during, or after my appointments. The vibe of the office is very relaxing and serene.
