First time going to an urgent care... We had a great experience! We scheduled an appointment online which was super easy. Their website stated they do accept walk-ins during business hours. Our daughter had a fall and caught herself with her hand. Which caused her forearm to swell so we needed to go get an X-ray to see the damage that was caused. Once we walked in they already had information in their system because we scheduled the appointment online ahead of time and I filled out a simple Q&A. We didn't have to wait like ER waiting rooms, it was like a normal doctors visit wait time. Since we are out of our home state and out of network we paid cash for the visit, X-ray and splint. We found it to be reasonable for what an ER visit would have cost. Everyone was so friendly! I'd definitely recommend this urgent care to our friends and family when they need it and are nearby! read more

Zero stars DO NOT GO HERE!! I use to like going here not anymore!!! The night crew on 9/11 are selfish & only cared about going home they are not true caring medical workers. It was my first time seing some of them idk if they're new. Thursday 09/11 I cane in at 8:40. They close at 9... the front desk girls look irritated didn't even let me sign in & ignored me when I said certain things. I saw them kick out a mom with a sick child telling them to go somewhere else. & another girl they told her they can't help her. They asked what I need my arm was swollen I sprained it. then they immediately rolled her eyes saying we shut off our xray machine already.. but I never asked for xray (it was 8:45pm) .... "we can't help you"! Even the doctor came out staring at me weird yelling we can't help you the machine is turned off. They basically kicked us all out and locked the door right behind us BEFORE 9:00‼ we (us sick patients) were outside shocked talking about it amongst each other. I had to go to the hospital. They gave me xray, pain meds & wrist splint. I am now disgusted by this place. read more

The owl urgent care is a horrible place to go to. My lil 5 year old was very sick and couldn't stop throwing up the doctor said her script will be sent over waited almost two days for my daughter to get her medication cause there excuse was that they were too busy. also my daughter had thrown up all over the waiting room floor and they just used a dogs wee wee pad to clean it up and didn't even use a sanitizer for the floor and then threw the vomit pad in an over filled garbage that wouldn't even close while my daughters vomit was sliding down the can. disgusting . I'm not very happy with this place at all. I had called the next day to ask for my daughters medication and they told me that there was no provider in the office which was at 8 when they opened and a lady said as soon as one comes in she will make me her first priority. still waiting for my daughters meds hours later. read more

So, I broke my foot, I knew as soon as I tripped it was broke! Went to Owl now for X-Rays. Checked in and they finally got me to a room where I waited and waited. Dr finally comes in and mumbles something. Sits down and squeezes my foot! Oh my it hurt!! Then tells me she thinks the X ray machine is broke, leaves the room and finally comes back to tell me yes, it's broke. So I spent an hour and a half sitting there for nothing! You would think they would let the front desk know if something is broke! I told them they better not charge my insurance for a visit! I'll be watching to make sure they don't! read more

Just because he did not feel like taking new patients. I am beyond disappointed and will never give this place business in the future. Not very thorough with assessment last night, my son had begun to get worse, after leaving this facility,and this morning we ended up in the ER,and he was very sick, cough/congested awful headache, dizzy to the point of vomiting. Diagnosed with Flu/dehydration muscle fatigue.. Why wasn't he swabbed there with those symptoms? Or even a cxr? I should also add that this is NOT the first time I have had issues with them, but I was at work last night, and his stepmom took him and kept me updated. She is furious also. They want that $$$ but blow people off who can something serious brewing in them! Not all illnesses present the same on everyone! I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND. EVER. read more

The ease of check in was great. Facility is clean. Nurses and office staff are great, but the PA on duty literally listened to my little man's chest and tried to send me away. Said "He's wheezing. Take him to Lakeland pediatric ER and they can run tons of tests on him." She told me the only test they have here is the RSV test and she didn't even offer to try that one while I am already here. Pure laziness. She just didn't want to deal with the issue. I told them to run the RSV test while I'm here. If you come, make sure you ask for a Dr. not the PA! She is terrible. Update: came to the ER and his lungs were completely clear, no wheezing. The woman had no clue what she was talking about! Never again will I go back. read more

$150 to see a nurse practitioner. Didn't give me an itemized bill or provide any notes from the doctor related to diagnosis. Called back to request they send me that information and they told me that hey require my PCP to request that. Total BS I've requested my own personal medical records and received itemized bills from plenty of other urgent care centers with no issue. Waiting room was beyond freezing. When I arrived I did not feel very welcomed the facility including the waiting room did appear clean. Took about an hour to be seen which was expected. When they sent in my prescriptions I specially stated I want them to send to the pharmacy that they stated was right around the corner and conveniently closed at 12am. When I went to the pharmacy they could not find my prescription so I caalled back after 30 min and they tell me they sent it to a different location that I didn't even know where it was at and was far and they closed early so I couldn't even get my prescriptions. read more

Just want to say very nice staff, treat the kids with love even when they are scared . I was there this week and it's a nice clean urgent care clinic , I love the schedule because going to the hospital is far for a cold, fever or other issues that a urgent care can handle, they have a waiting room prepared for children to play while they wait , even when the place was full waiting wasn't too long , I always go in and out and the RN , Np and doc are very sweet how they make children feel happy and not scared , and overall do recommend for small emergencies read more

I made an appointment online and was seen right on schedule. The staff was kind, professional and caring. They kept me informed of the possible wait time for a radiologist to read my hand xrays and, after thoroughly examining my hand, allowed me go home to wait for the official Xray results. I recommend Owl urgent , they are very fast, clean and the staff is always nice. They speak to the kids in a way they don't feel scared . I have taken all my kids here and never had to wait more than 30 minutes to be seen . I love that they do everything quick and the nurse practitioners and M.D are very nice , very patient and caring . Wonderful staff! Great place to take the kids for small emergencies! read more

I was floored by the total incompetence of the staff here. They have ZERO empathy, NO care, and NO sense of urgency. I brought in a family member we who was bleeding profusely from a wound into a towel and they refused to even give basic care while sorting out a delinquent account. They said we owed money and they couldn't help us til we paid-we should have no outstanding debt because we have never been there. We offered to pay-- they quietly sat clicking, and clicking, and clicking before saying "I don't know how much you owe". Again no sense of urgency and zero interest of even preliminarily tending to the would so he wouldn't be at risk of infection. I am APPALLED. We left and went down the road to another urgent care and were tended to right after walking through the door. read more

My daughter twisted her ankle so we went to Owl Now urgent care. The wait was long but the staff was very nice about it. The X-ray tech was patient and kind even though my daughter was in pain. The doctor was very kind to her as well. He was very complimentary to her. He told her she was so strong and brave because he could see she was visibly upset. So I got turned away by owl urgent care bc I got hurt near my surgery area and I thought I might have needed stitches or something ... they went by what I said ( as if I was a doctor or something) and decline to take care of me... went to the ED didn't even need stitches just got antibiotics and a wound culture! I thought it was messed up that the doctor didn't even bother to take a look at me and didn't even give alternatives to even offer emergency room services etc. read more

My son had a cough and his nurse told me take him to Owl Now... The only good thing was that the wait time was not slow.. But...they diagnosed my son, saying he had pneumonia even before the doctor listened to him. Good thing I made an appointment with his doctor for the next day since that was not what what he had!! They completely miss diagnosed him!!!! He did not have pneumonia! He had bronchitis, even in the notes that they sent his primary doctor said he had bronchitis. This place is an absolute joke. I was informed that I would be contacted by phone with the results of my test, then I was told I had to make a whole other visit to speak with the doctor about my results. With the current situation in this country, they have been the least accommodating office. I've never had a good experience with this place. If you have one issue with the way they run things, be prepared to be hung up on. Happened to me twice. Never trust these people with your health. read more

I went to see them for a leg wound. I saw a nurse practitioner, who only barely glanced at my wound and said I need to see a dermatologist. She said she would call in a prescription for a topical in the meantime. I was charged a lot of money for basically nothing, and the prescription was never called in. I went here and let me tell you it was a waste of my time and they had no sense of Urgency, I filled out new patient paperwork and handed back to front desk. Then I sat and watched her talked to her coworker about things that could wait! It was literally 20 mins, while she had my paperwork in front of her that needed to be entered in the system so I could be seen. Who does that?? You work in urgent care , most people come there have urgency to be seen. I then was seen , I was given a list of what could be wrong. I leave and was told my antibiotics would be sent right over. That didn't happen either 3.5 hours later I get my antibiotics had to go to a different pharmacy even because my regular one closed! The worst experience ever!!! I hope I never have to go here again and I will be filing a complaint with the office manager! read more

I just went to the Winter Haven branch. Waited for an hour and was called up to the desk and asked for $170 co-payment. I said how much is a visit. They said $75 if you don't have insurance. I said that makes no sense. Why would you charge me $170 co-pay when the visit is only $75. Their response...that's what your insurance says the co-payment is and that it would go towards my deductible. Bullcrap! YOU DON'T PRE-PAY A DEDUCTIBLE. I told them F U and walked out. I will never recommend them to anyone! I could understand having to pay the full amount of the visit if my deductible has not been met, but their staff should have common sense to figure out you can't charge people a co-pay that is more than the visit would cost. That would only mean they would have to process a refund to me later for it being overpaid. read more

My adult son went to owl with strep throat. temp 104 yesterday, temp continues to go above normal without Tylenol every 4 hours,his glands are swollen, throat red & sore. he took anabiotics left from when he had strep throat 2 months ago 3 tabs until he could see his doctor on Monday but his doctor was not in so he went to owl urgent care. he told the doctor he took the anabotics causing the strep test to come back neg. the doctor told him he only had a viral infection a temp of 104 is nothing ,as well as his swollen glands, Dr E you are wrong you charge $75 for bad advice, I called to get your name so I know who to sue if my son gets septic. you need to listen to your patients , we will never use owl again, because of this doctor. read more

My husband has been out of work for a MONTH now because they messed up his work clearance note and they refuse to fix it without him paying to be seen again. The woman at the front desk was an absolute jerk. She was so uncaring. Her name was Latisha. She could not have looked more bored listening to me speak. Went there because I'm going out of the country in four days and knew I wouldn't be able to get into any doctor for a suspected UTI by then. They were prompt and helpful. Was in and out in 30 minutes with a prescription for an antibiotic. Would definitely recommend them! read more
