We had previously have gone to Sunshine Urgent Care Walk-in Clinic two years prior, and we decided to come again for another medical appointment. However, the second time coming in would be our last time. It was an absolutely awful experience right from the start. The lady in the front desk was super rude and had an unprofessional attitude towards my family and me. As we waited in the waiting room, my name was called and I wanted my family to come with me. The nurse said, "No one is allowed to accompany him." The nurse was very rude and had a chip on her shoulder. By Florida law, one can bring in a family member to accompany them to a medical room. To not bring up tension, I listened to the mean nurse. My rights were violated and I was so uncomfortable with the walk-in medical appointment. Please, do not come to Sunshine Urgent Walk-in Clinic. The staff was incredibly kind and provided quality care. I had a minor asthma attack after a couple of years and freaked out a little bit. The nurse practitioner assured me that I was ok and although anxious, that seeking care was a good call. They offered education on my condition and made me feel heard. read more

Last night we ended up at this place. Waited 45 inmutes to be seen. Neither the nurse nor the PA took any vitals or check my temperature or anything else. When the PA finally enter the cubicle, she asked why my husband was there, regardless of what I had stated as I arrived, both orally and in writing. I had a picc line and neither the nurse nor the PA acknowledge it or asked me why I was there. They talked to each other and never asked me why I was there. The only statement the PA made, whose name was never given to us, was that the pic line needed to be removed because it was infected!!! Then my husband shared the lab work results from Friday and as she look at them she said that he was doing well and questioned why he was there and suggested we go to an ER. We have never been at an Urgent Care place that literarily does not care. We do not recommend this place on 98 to anyone at all because they were totally incompetent and rude. read more

This place is great if your kid needs a sports physical. If you actually have a medical problem do not go there. Monday I went in to be seen with an ankle injury my ankle was swollen twice its size. The Arnp told me she would send a script for me but didn't. I called back they said I'd have to be seen again or wait until Friday. Totally negligence. read more

The office staff was extremely rude and dismissive with my questions. I just felt like they did not care . The doctor had terrible bed side manners, did not even ask if I had questions or how to deal with my existing issues. No aftercare instructions. This is my go to urgent care whenever I can't get into my family doctor. Usually they get me in right away with little to not wait. The staff is always extremely friendly and the inside is very organized/clean. The doctors I've seen have always been overall very friendly and knowledgeable. I appreciate that I know that I have an urgent care I can trust and go to. Today I went in for a knee injury after falling/sliding across pavement. Because the top layer of my skin was gone, there was no way to do stitches. But thankfully they were not needed. The staff properly clean, dressed, and wrapped my knees up. So I bring my 2 year old in with a very questionable rash today, I fill out the paperwork and sit in the waiting room for maybe 10 minutes all together. since we are no longer insured at this time the doctor visit was 85$. Being a super concerned parent with HFM going around I knew she needed to be seen. As a one income household this totally broke the bank but oh well I needed assurance. The doctor was an older man with glasses and took a total of maybe 3 minutes to tell me she needed Benadryl, which I had already tried. I had to ASK for him to check her ears... he never checked her breathing. Maybe because he didn't even have a stethoscope?? On top of all that, he never made her feel comfortable and she literally started balling by just him looking at her face symptoms. The worst part is I asked "what could have caused this?" And his response verbatim was "no one in the world could know!!!" I'm so completely in shock still and really wish I could get a refund. I feel like I got scammed and if anyone has any suggestions I will be more than willing to take any advice. PLEASE don't bring kids here, they know they don't feel wel read more

Very pleasant experience even with everything going on in the world. Clean and socially distanced waiting room, masks on every person, genuine care and surprisingly affordable, even without insurance. My first visit. Very easy and quick paperwork process. Staff was attentive and kind. I am a terrible patient and get very nervous at even the thought of visiting the doctor. But nurse Theresa was so sweet and understanding. I was bit by a spider and my leg swelled up. She gave me a pat on the back and said don't worry everything will be fine. Great bedside manner. She ordered a antibiotic by phone so I could just pick up the prescription, and head home. I have no hesitation of going back there if I ever need to. Had to find an urgent care facility that was close by when I had muscle spasms in my neck. Very happy with Sunshine Urgent Care! As a walk-in, I was in and out in just over an hour. Everyone there was very nice, professional and had great bed-side manner. While I'm not sure what the going rate is, I was happy with my charges; flat rate for the visit, flat rate for the shot I received, and the best part--no extra bills coming in to surprise me! Instead they wanted me to come in and spend money to see the doctor again just so he can write the same prescriptions I always get. Took my son to this place back in February for a sinus infection. Was told that they took my insurance....found out later that my insurance didn't take them. Saw that they were billing my insurance for $181....what happened to the prices listed on the wall? Called it to their attention & they said that they would correct that. Fast forward to October....got another bill for $181 stating that they spent 45 minutes with my son....they didn't spend anywhere near that much time. I took my child for a physical and all they did was check vitals and sign her off. It was not at all complete and very unprofessional. Never checked her posture or abdomen even though they wrote on the form they did, and never considered other things like ears and reflexes. Also made up a completely unrealistic BMI for her, hers is 18 and they wrote 40. Their goal is to get you in and out, not to give good care. When I went for another issue, they took one look, prescribed me medicine and sent me on my way no questions asked. Needless to say that medication was not the solution to my problem. I have came to this location a few times for minor illness and saw the ARNP Theresa Huber! She is awesome! Great bed side manners and is fast and cares! I saw the doctor Mark foppe who was rude, and absolutely horrible! He is the worst doctor I have ever seen in my life. He made the comments like "people like me" talked over me, left my room to go do a DOT and then returned to me because I opened my door stepped out the hallway and he asked me do you need to go to the bathroom or something and I said no I need you to come finish our visit so I can leave. If i was you I would call to make sure that he is not there and go on a day that Theresa is. Overall the staff is very welcoming and kind just that Dr. Mark foppe is horrible!!!! read more

Every single time I come into this facility, it's a fight with the Doctors. I tell them what's wrong and it's like I have to school them for what medications I need. Thankfully, I have a small medical background and know what's wrong with me and what I need. The other night I went in for a cold sore and a sever cough. I explained that the OTC ointment I bought was not working and he still tried to tell me that's what I should be using. I tried to explain to him I needed a specific drug for the cold sore and he's like "What's that for? Would that even help?" You're literally a doctor and I'm paying you to see you for your expertise, and yet I have to explain to you what a drug does...and several times before that I have to constantly call them back to send in a steroid pack to go with my antibiotic. One time when I had bronchitis, I went to the hospital because they were closed. For some reason the hospital didn't give me antibiotics so I went to them. I told the Dr what happened and he looked and talked to me like it was MY fault they didn't give me antibiotics. To top it off, my lungs were hurting so bad I asked for a cough med with codeine and he told me "It's illegal for me to prescribe a narcotic." Uhm...no it's not. It's not like I'm asking for Methadone or Oxys. They don't care about the patients and honestly I feel bad for those who have little to no medical background because they're just taking their money and ripping them off. If someone comes in with a medical background and even tries to talk to them about what exactly is needed (you know your body better than anyone might I add) and they treat you like you're nothing.
