Me and my husband stopped here because we're first time parents and were concerned about our baby's acne reaction. Once we arrived and the office staff asked why were we here for, my husband explained we just wanted our almost one month baby to be checked. Another staff member kindly jumped in and assisted. The two front desk people out of no where started laughing while looking at us. We understand that we might look tired and are concerned but that is no way to treat a family whatsoever. Don't go to this office. Find another urgent care. My 5 year old son went there with a broken foot, and they read the X-ray, and then just left him hanging in pain. They said they didn't do casts there, and that it would take a few days to get to an orthopedic doctor...but, they were out of boots. So, I asked what to do, and they said that a drugstore wouldn't have one in his size. Basically, it was my problem, and my poor son couldn't walk. After calling a few places, I got him in at Hanger, and they asked for a script just saying he needed the boot....urgent care doctors refused, then HUNG UP on the nurse from Hanger because they didn't like her tone. I guess they are ok with a 5 year old child in pain and not being able to walk. I guess when they call me to pay the bill, I'll hang up because I "don't like their tone". Dr. Glaser may come across as nice, but what a huge liar. read more

I was there Wednesday for an injury follow up and the guys appearing to be a doctor because the treatment he provided was not of a professional nor a licensed medical provider Craig Glacier came to the room with paper on hand already completed gave me a diagnostic base only on one thing (I am going to be specific due to privacy) and when I denied that and tried to explain him the issue and symptoms the guy started to yelled at me and diminished me because I work on retail and was not a doctor. He also did all that while having the room door open so everyone outside could hear him (violated my privacy). The guy also diminished the previous ARNP Zack diagnosis and asked me to leave without being evaluated and with the worst experience ever. I contacted twice the consumer line for @adventhealth in the Florida corporate office spoke with representative Ryan and reported this guy Craig Glaser no one has reached out to me yet. I don't recommend this person. I do recommend the ARPN Zack he was kind, courteous and professional at all times. read more

Arrived at 12:00 for a 12:20 appointment, stood in line for over 30 minutes just to check in. Was told would be about 45 minutes, meaning almost an hour past our appt time. At 2:16 still sitting in car waiting, told we're next, approximately another 35 minutes. If we didn't need a rapid Covid to return to work I would never come to this place. Came for a child with Strep, probably leaving with Covid as we are sitting in a waiting room full of people coughing, hacking and sneezing waiting on their Covid tests! Horrible place...i made an appointment on their advertisement that I could save my place online and would be texted 20 minutes before my appointment. I went at the scheduled time,was told that my place would be lost if I left to wait for my 20 minute notification,and there was a 2 hours wait. I was waiting someplace else and left because I relied on their promise that they have the nerve to put outside their building in big signs, that I would have a normal waiting time. Horrible experience! I took my 80 year old Mother to this place. We had to wait over 2 hours. The nurse stated it looked like Shingles. The Dr. literally spent less than 5 minutes in the room. He stated she had a dermatitis issue and prescribed steroids. After a trip to the emergency room, a few days later, she was diagnosed with Shingles. Months later she still suffers with pain because of the misdiagnosis and the steroids this Dr. prescribed. I called and reported this to the clinic, was told they would look into it, I never heard back from the clinic but did received a bill for the doctors 5 minutes at a cost of $185. I believe this is a case of elder abuse and the doctor should be reported. read more

Urgent Care Cypress - Shingles!!! - Urgent Care Near Me - Winter Haven, Florida

Well, where to start. On random (usually the most horrible of times) I develop gout. I have came to Urgent Care Cypress multiple times for this, and usually walk (hobble, temporarily anyway) away happy about the experience. The most I've waited was about 45 minutes, but I there were 4 people in front of me and I didn't have an appointment. This go round I waited around 10 minutes after filling out paperwork, not bad for a Sunday. But this visit was special. This visit I came in for gout (as I mentioned) but walked away with a exceptionally valuable piece of information that two other doctors didn't clue me in on. I was told that I had eczema around my eyes, and Ive been using expensive and frankly painful cream to control. It wasn't working especially well, but it tried. Anyway, as I talked to the lady doctor about my gout I asked if she knew anything about eczema. She said well yeah a bit. I showed her my eyes (my glasses usually hide much of the rash) and she said that it didn't 'look' like eczema. She said 'what's the chance you have allergies to plastic frames?' And that set my mind racing. My previous glasses had a smaller foot print and in turn a smaller rash. I decide I'll go look at glasses on Monday that are metal or steel. When I get home and talk to my sister about it, my brother is developing plastic allergies and apparently my mom had them very bad before her passing. That settles it, I'm going to buy new glasses on Monday. But I wouldn't have known this without the lady doctor. Her body of knowledge was extremely helpful for me, if it pans out, as I have been dealing with this for going on 2 years and have seen 2 doctors about this. So thank you urgent care cypress. You may have made a ridiculously positive impact in my life today, and I thank you. And for people who are complaining about wait time, dude what do you expect? This is a walk in clinic that's open late. Cmon now, don't get on yelp and complain! Just be happy that they are able to help! read more

Let's start here.. I had to recently visit this location 2 times in the past month for severe left leg pain. Being diagnosed with muscular nerve strain then severe swollen sciatica nerve pain and then last not but least Shingles ( ER room visits and diagnoses from primary physician) that has been going on for over 3 weeks. My second visit was on Memorial day Monday- unaware they closed yearly at 4pm, I arrived at 3:50pm. Upon entering the lobby and approaching the receptionist I received the most hateful stare and attitude from the receptionist prompting me to actually speak first and APOLOGIZE to her for walking at at 3:50 FOR I CLEARLY UPSET HER. Finally getting into the treatment room the 'Doctor" came in and i told her about my issues with my leg and advised her that I had already been here for the same problem. Her first statement to me was "WE DON'T GIVE NARCOTICS HERE " (me.. ????) I informed her I wasn't here for NARCOTICS. I informed her that I had also been to the hospital due to the severe pain I was in. I asked this female "Doctor" could i just get an anti inflammatory shot. She immediately told me NO then proceeded to prescribe me a Lidocaine Pain patch. I accepted anything to help me. Cherry on the top.... I informed this "Doctor" of they way I was received at reception and she told me to call the office the next day to speak to the office manager. She proceeded to go out of the treatment room and closed the door and starting talking loudly by saying "THIS CRAZY BITCH IS LOOKING FOR NARCOTICS. I am currently a AGM for a medical dispensary and was mortified on the way I was being treated. If any of my receptionist treated any patient in this manner I would fire them on the spot, and as for the "doctor" ... she should have a more professional and empathetic attitude. She should be in the "Lead by Example Role" and to pay more attention of her voice level. As I was being discharged I was told that my prescription had been called over to Walmart. Going straight to Walmart to pick it up Walmart said they didn't see the prescription in the computer. I ended up buying over the counter patch.. As time went by I called back to Urgent care on Wednesday ( 2 days ) Later to find out the prescription was still not on file. She I immediately responded with "So i filed a verbal complaint at your office on Monday and our office did not submit the prescription out of retaliation" making me endure 2 additional night of severe pain (I again had to go to the ER) I asked to speak to the Office Manager and was told by the same receptionist that the manager was on L.O.A. and they didn't know when she would be returning (????) then I asked for the Corporate Number and was told that she didn't know it. (???) I hope that someone from the corporate office reads this complaint and addresses the mannerisms of the staff has when dealing with patients . HORRIBLE TREATMENT!! Came with my 7yr old.. sore throat and fever.. Doctor walked in and no induction or hello.. said "I need a pain level." My daughter and I just stared at her.. I realized I needed to break the silence so l looked at my daughter and said.. "Piper .. do you know what pain levels are?" Exam was less than 45 seconds. We'll be going to our pediatrician on Monday because I do not trust that doctor. And I'll be reviewing my bill... no way they'll charge me for a new patient visit.. I saw that women for less than 4 minutes tops. She scared my daughter and I don't trust any diagnosis she gave me. read more

The hours are great! The people are awesome! And the doctors here are all excellent. I've been coming here since it opened and so have my friends. The wait is not long! They get you in and out without cutting comers. This is not one of those places where they give you drugs and let you go! They actually treat you and give you options. read more

Never got to see a doctor...couldn't get past the rude receptionist. We had insurance but never got a chance to use it. This clinic is a joke. We went there today it was a 3 hour wait so we left and made an appointment. We came back at the appointment time and were still waiting after an hour and a half. The gentleman at number 1 had an appointment at 1 and was still waiting 2 hours later. We finally left. Don't go here unless you want to spend the day. Staff is totally unsimpathetic. Unpatriotic! Does not take Tricare Standard yet they accept Medicare and Tricare for Life. This is ridiculous. If this is for financial reasons the Medicare allowed amount is the same as Tricare Standard. Thanks for NOT caring for active duty and retired veteran dependents!!! First, as of 9/2019 they are AdventHealth Centra Care Winter Haven. Took my husband there this evening, 10/12/2019 at 6:30 pm. He had insurance, which they had. After filling out the paperwork he was refused care. He was in an accident 3 days earlier and just wanted to make sure everything was okay. Told them his body ached and chest hurt from the air bag deploying. He didn't feel he needed treatment earlier but just want to see a doctor to make sure the chest soreness would be okay, he'd had a heart attack 2 yrs earlier. We were told that by Florida law he couldn't be seen without an insurance claim number from our auto insurance. We explained we talked to our insurance company and didn't want to file a claim. We were paying for the visit. Again, told with out a claim number he won't be seen by the doctor. I thank the African American women for looking at the other women behind the glass and ask where should we send him? The hospital? The response, from the other women, refusing the care was NO he needs an insurance claim number. Then she told us we need to go file a claim with our auto insurance before he can be seen in the State of Florida. Why would want an insurance claim number when we were going to pay this bill in full before even seeing the doctor? Insurance scam, I don't know but I don't see any other reason. Will be contacting the Florida Board of Medicine. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE IF YOU NEED MEDICAL CARE!!! I was seen as a workers compensation patient there. And when I say "was seen" thats all he did was look. No physical exam, nothing. You can tell he is getting paid to say nothing is wrong. He is rude and has the nastiest attitude ever. He already knew what he going to say before he came in the room. Don't waste your money if you need medical treatment because he will not give it. I ended up going to a totally different facility to get medical treatment. Thankfully I didn't listen to him and go back to work I would have ended up in worse condition than I was. read more

BEWARE!! Today I went to urgent care cypress due to a very sore and swollen ankle that was beginning to hurt into my calf muscle. The nurse mentioned that it could be tendinitis when I described the symptoms. Prior to going to the office I used WebMD to attempt a self-diagnosis which led to me to either tendinitis or gout (this was a reoccurring pain that comes unexpectedly, without reasoning). When the doctor came in the office he spent very little time with me, and refused to do any blood work or take any X-ray; instead he said there was a small chance of a blood clot because of the pain in my calf and i should go to the ER for a $2,000.00 test. While I appreciate his concern, he barely acknowledged that the pain in my calf (his entire reasoning for his 'blood clot' theory) came days AFTER the pain in my ankle had me walking in a new and unusual way to avoid further pain, nor did he consider the fever that accompanied my sore foot. Again he refused to attempt any diagnostic tests himself, ones that would cost less than 2K, with no good excuse as to why. It would appear that this 'doctor' was only concerned with doing AS LITTLE as possible for his $85 fee. read more
