I think they should expand hours but they don't want to and that's fine. I never insulted you but you insulted me. Closed when I came twice. Every little room of the house has items galore. All manner of salt & please pepper shakers, wall art, glass ware, jewelry, and much more. There are often theme displays of like items, like election or Native American items. I almost always come away with at least 1 thing that I can't live without, even if it's small. This time was a yellow ceramic shoe about 3" high, to go with my yellow vintage ceramics. In the past it's been a pair of 1950's earrings, or a tiny canoe for my Mom. Don also restores, repairs, and sells pinball machines & jukeboxes. If you ask, he will let you play some of the machines that he's fixed.

He provides space for individual dealers to showcase their stuff which makes it feel like a "mini-mall." A great place to find a gift for someone with particular interests. Prices range from a few dollars to a lot of dollars! Best of all is the pinball machine nook on the upper deck area. Donnie will let you play the ones that are up and running. He also repairs and resells machines.

Just a fun place to visit, relax and talk. All good even if you are not a Los Angeles sports fan. Steve loves and listens to the games on the radio, a true old-fashioned fan. A+++ book experience. I highly recommend, we visit Bubbas Books every time we're in Idyllwild.

Shops like this are rare nowadays, so it's fun to shop and support a small shop like this to keep it going strong. Items such as posters, records, CDs, stickers, and other items. I purchased numerous movie posters, which I had framed and will hang in our home office. The owner is very friendly, outgoing, and enjoys chatting with customers. Prices are very affordable, and the selection of items is both fun to browse and satisfying to purchase. Note: pictures and videos are not allowed inside the shop for several reasons, which is totally understandable.

When I went recently, all the regular items were 50% off (didn't include the fancy items like jewelry & collectibles inside the register building). Wait, the shirts are only $2 in the first place, so now they're $1? And a sweater is $2. Ummm, OK, are you sure?! I got some great vintage jewelry this time. A small Native American cross set with turquoise for $5, and 2 brass rings with semi-precious scarabs for $3 each. You have to know what you're looking at, and they do price things up sometimes ( they had a SS pair of earrings for $20+, not that good a bargain compared to what I got). It's also where locals go to get extra blankets & furniture for their cabins & homes. You can get chairs & sofas super cheap, or even free sometimes.
