It is easily accesible by a ramp down from SR 55 and there is a decent sized parking lot. The park has restrooms, a playground and several picnic tables and shelters. It seems ideal for fishing if that's something that appeals to you as the Snake River is well stocked with rainbow trout and largemouth bass. There are always people here but it doesn't feel crowded and everyone has always been respectful of others at the park.

There's a nice sandy beach where you can set up your things. If you need it there are shaded and unshaded picnic tables on the pavement and bike racks to lock up your bikes nearby. Lots of ducks and geese so watch for poop bombs but not that bad. Overall a clean park. We noticed scuba divers, fishermen, magnet fishers, kayakers, and lots of paddle boards. The water is pretty clear and clean and is on the cooler side. There are rentals available if you want to pick up a paddle board or bring your own. On the hot summer weekends, get there before 11am because there is little to no parking after noon.

The visitor center was open and the workers inside were very nice and informative. The visitor center educates you on the nearby wildlife you can expect to see. They have a wealth of hunting and guiding experience all over the country and world. We booked a bear hunt for 4 hunters. The accommodations at the lodge were amazing. Very comfortable cabins to stay in with home cooked meals every day. The guides worked their tails off for us, and wanted to see us punch our tags as much as we did. While their guiding abilities were great their personalities were even greater. I'd be happy to share a camp fire and beers with these guys any day of the week. Based on this trip we will be looking forward to hunting with Sawtooth Wilderness Outfitters every spring. You can ignore the bad review from the past owners and book with these guys with confidence.

Booked a hunt with Sawtooth this past fall, outfitter forget to get our tags, agreed to 'make it…read moreup' with a future discounted hunt. (We ended up going on a last minute hunt that was sub par at best but paying full price.) Gave it to us in writing. Found out he is no longer willing to honor his word. Says there are new owners and they don't care about the agreement. So, if you book with these guys, this is the type of organization you are dealing with. Their work cannot be trusted. Side note, my buddy did go on his hunt with Sawtooth, week after I was going. He was not impressed at all. They did not see a single deer. They did see a few elk, but way off. Avoid, there are other more honorable outfits
