I've had another crown for 28 years, it's just a porcelain crown and it's in the front. It never cracked, now i have this zirconia crown that is supposed to be much stronger, but it cracked in half? eating something that wasn't hard? I also have been told i need all my old dental work removed and re-done, quoted over $5k in dental work. I don't understand why a dentist would want to remove everything that is fine the way it is. I constantly deny the work but every year they bring up old silver filling should be removed, they're toxic, etc. all these old filling are larger, so they quoted me having them removed and crowns replacing them. I'm probably going to be switching dentists this year to someone that is smaller practice.

It was then, after the X-rays, that I was informed that you don't take my insurance. Now I get a bill for $362.80 for x-rays that never should have been taken. I don't think I should be charged for these X-rays because of an employee's failure to do her job and check information submitted.

However my insurance was changing and my dental coverage was no longer available. I had an outstanding debt of $97 after paying over five hundred at the time of services. I was unavailable for personal reasons, however, my wife was available and spoke to Dr. Gould often as my kids were in the same school and Boy Scout troop as Dr. Gould's. They put me in collections for $97?!?! His staff tried to help and said he is not involved in the billing so that is why he did not reach out personally. Sending something to collections, does allot of damage to someone with otherwise good credit. It was paid as soon as I learned about debt (albeit a long time after). I now have to go through a massive headache to get this tiny debt removed from my credit report. $97 what's, there take from that after a debt collector get's there cut, something like half? Dissapointed this happened, and of course I wanted to pay anything I owed, now off to work on getting it removed. The collection agency, they use actually told me if the amount was higher they would help remove it from my credit, but this was not enough, so I was on my own. The problem is... small debt not paid looks worse than large debt as you look irresponsible.

I called 20 dentists trying to…read morefind an orthodontist to remove the attachments from my Invisalign I got seven years ago in another state, and apparently almost no one will touch another dentist's work, but the Familia Dental in Racine was the exception. To be honest, I was a little hesitant and worried about how it was going to go. Plus, it was an hour and a half drive from my house. But I went for my consultation, and they actually made time while I was there to remove my attachments so that I wouldn't have to make the drive back a second time! Not only that, the dentist was so cool, she actually shaved off a piece of my front tooth that was longer than my other tooth, so that they're even now, and my teeth look SO MUCH BETTER, And she didn't even charge me for that part. She just did it because she was so nice! I was thrilled. I've never been happier with my teeth. The office was clean, I got in quickly, the staff was nice. I would definitely recommend this place if you need ortho work done, or dentistry in the area.

Called the clinic and spoke with the front desk explaining the situation, the assistant knew I had a doctor's appointment immediately following that I couldn't miss. The girl on the phone was so rude and basically accused me of lying. Her tone of voice was belittling, and she didn't try to offer anything to solve the situation or go and talk to the DDS or assistant to clarify. I wonder if anybody even knows how she handled the phone call or today's situation. Once again Forward Dental has failed.

So I started going here because of the good reviews & at the first visit, after waiting a month to get an appt., the Dentist spent a lot of time with me explaining what she's going to do & answered my questions! I thought she was really nice & felt comfortable with her! I've been going here to get my extractions done! I was just told at the first visit to rinse my mouth out with warm salt water, take 1 Tylenol & eat soup! No other instructions were given! The Dental Assistant gave me my next 2 appts. but then I had to wait another 3 weeks for the next appt.! She also shows me a different amount that I owe after everything is done & says to go to the front desk when I asked her for a copy! I go to ask for a copy when I check out & it's been a different amount each time! Not sure if the Assistant should be giving me the totals I owe & it shouldn't be a different amount each time! Then the girls at the check out explains that they won't know until my insurance pays! The first one spent a lot of time checking it out! This last time the girl told me what I owe & it's quite a bit more than what was circled on the initial paper! She also didn't know when I'd get my denture as the lab isn't there! But wouldn't check it for me? So back to the Dentist! At first she told me 5 weeks of healing, then the dentures! Now it's 6 weeks out! I asked the Dental Assistant if I can get a temporary denture as I had asked before at my first appt. & she was going to check but didn't! When she gives me the injections, she refuses to numb the inside of my mouth saying that it doesn't work! It's painful having injections done on the inside of my mouth! I asked my son about this & he says that his Dentist does numb it! I've had pain with the bottom part after removal the time before & this happened again, but now it's worse! When she gave the injection she hit a nerve & I almost jumped out of the chair! She didn't numb it beforehand with numbing gel! Plus they're very cheap on giving me gauze & I had to use what I had at home even though it wasn't sterile! Then I had to order some more & pay for it! When doing more than one extraction you should be giving out more gauze! Not just a small packet of it! I was told the second time that I would only need it for 20 minutes by the Dental Assistant! That was incorrect as I was still bleeding later on into the evening! My lower extraction was painful & even though I took Tylenol it still didn't help so I called the emergency number Thurs. night & left a message only to have some guy call me back that was asking me if I got an instruction sheet & I didn't, then said my Dentist doesn't believe in giving pain meds.! He was giving me advice on how much mg. to take & switch it between Ibuprofen & Tylenol & ice on & off for 20 minutes! He said what to do but wouldn't give me his name! Said he's just the call center & he can't give out his name! And something about comparing calls & pts.! So they discuss personal pt. info. between themselves? I'm appalled & that's a huge no no! HIPAA! I've called other Drs. & they've called me back & I even knew who was on call ahead of time! It says on the message that it's a Dr. that will call back & it's not! Then they shouldn't be giving out medical advice period! He told me to call the office in the morning if I'm still having pain & then said to have a goodnight & abruptly hung up on me! Yeah I'll be having a terrible night trying to get rid of this pain! I called the office twice Friday before noon & no one answered! The office was open until 1500! I called the emergency number & it's late afternoon now & no call back! I called the office again & the same thing happened! So no one was in the office Friday? I'm not sure if I want to continue with my treatment or your office now with all that has happened, as well as other issues as I'm not feeling very comfortable anymore!
