We always eat here at least once when we are in town! The pizza and the sandwiches are always so good, service is quick and workers are always friendly. Small town atmosphere

Menus outdated and expensive, one of the workers was a total ass to me. Pizza is good though, not worth the price.

It is in an old building and may look closed when you are driving up. There is not official parking for the restaurant that I saw. There is a few spots that you can park that are between it and the park that it is next to, but nothing is marked off. The guy that was working there also happened to be the owner. The restaurant has an indoor dining area and a patio area. The owner was very friendly and very welcoming. He gave me the history of the the restaurant. It roots are in Oregon and he kept the name when he moved the business back to his home town of Rensselaer. The restaurant has a Purdue and Elvis theme, with decorations all over the place. And there is an extra room off to the side where I believe they host special events or may open up if they are busy. They have a menu that consists of pizza, calzones, salads and subs. I decided to do with the philly steak and cheese. It was prepared fresh and was ready in about 8 minutes. It was ok. It was not the best philly I have had and I would not travel miles to get it, but it was decent. The fries were good. I recommend coming here for superior and friendly service, and good food.

You have to wind through residential areas to get there. The parking lot is long and thin. A bit difficult getting in and out. Bruno's shares the lot with the brewery. Finding the Bruno's door is a bit difficult. Do I come in the front or the back? Once inside I was shocked at how small the seating area was. There were about 8 tables that would seat 40 people. Dinning in could be a challenge on a busy night. The seating was comfortable and relaxing. There was only one large wall of nostalgia to enjoy - just not the same. The food was just like you remember. The Bruno dough was a bit tough on this occasion. It was hard to bit and chew. The Deluxe pizza was excellent. The sweet sauce is my favorite. The cheese was piked high and thick - delicious!! The crust is thin and cooked with a slight crisp.

Pros - Even though it was a packed place, with a ton of to-go orders, we (group of four) were in and out in an hour and a half, even with two apps, two pizzas, and a stromboli. - Plentiful toppings on our pizza. Tons of good meat and flavor. - Service was good for a packed Friday night crowd, with our waiter checking on us, and refilling drinks before it was needed. Con (kind of) - Price is a bit high, but for a local spot with a HUGE cult following, it could have been worse.
