I've stayed in several Oxford Suites over the years, but this location is by far my favorite! Guests will find a giant parking lot with lots of accomodations for guests with disabilities. The hotel has a large lobby with plenty of luggage carts for transporting baggage to rooms. The hotel is located in Silverdale on the Dyes Inlet, a lovely bay connected to the Puget Sound. There are lots of shopping, dining, and tourist activities in the surrounding area, as well as remarkable natural beauty. I absolutely love the waterfront views from this hotel, as well as the lovely pebble beach covered in driftwood. There are several paths for relaxing strolls along the beach, and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the sunset. The hotel offers a swimming pool and hot tub, however the pool was a bit cool the last few times I visited in the winter. Perhaps it will be a bit more enjoyable for peak summer visits - when a cold dip in the pool is most refreshing. I stayed at the Oxford Suites Silverdale for a quick two-day getaway with my two daughters, and we genuinely loved it. Overall, the experience was really good. The room was very clean and comfortable, and we had a beautiful view from the balcony, which made the stay even more relaxing. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. Parking was also very easy, with plenty of spots and convenient access even for larger vehicles. One of the highlights was the included breakfast. It is buffet style with plenty of options. The coffee selection was surprisingly good, with different types of beans and flavors, along with a nice variety of teas. I really appreciated that they serve real eggs instead of the typical premade ones you often find at hotels, which made a big difference for me. Not forget to mention the wonderful Hawaiian lady in the restaurant. She is amazing and so sweet. My daughters and I just love her!! The only reason I am giving four stars instead of five is the pool area. It feels a bit outdated, the pool was not as clean as expected, and it is on the smaller side. The towels provided for the pool are also quite small. Since I usually choose hotels with nice pool areas for my daughters, this part was a bit disappointing. Stayed here for a solo trip. Reasonable price, decent reviews and better rating than others in the area. Check-in was quick and the front desk person was pleasant. She was able to get me on the first floor, provided one of the bigger rooms. Upon check-in was told about happy hour and how soup and salad was offered. Ample parking during the day, but had to park further out as it got later in the night. Bar was frequently busy in the evenings. I checked the bedding, it was clean and I felt comfortable sleeping here. Couldn't not set a good temperature of the room, it was either too hot or cold. Breakfast was basic, but waitstaff service was top notch. A lot of food options but everything closes early. If hungry, there is room service available. read more

The hotel is situated in the heart of Silverdale and great location for just parking your car and walking around Silverdale and exploring. Lots of places to eat just a few minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel is located right across from the sound, very nice views and lots of walking paths. The hotel room is comfortable, large and clean. Ask for a room facing the sound. Parking is free and there are plenty of spots in the front and side of the hotel. They will clean your room twice a week and more if you request it. Free breakfast every morning that's pretty good and has everything you can possibly want. The hotel will give you a drink coupon for a free drink during Happy Hour. Service at the hotel is awesome. Everyone is very nice and hospitable and they really do everything possible to make you feel at home. I had to work a few days from the hotel, and the internet worked perfectly. The absolute nightmare of noise started at 3am. Chairs screeching, tables scratching. Workers stomping and running across your sleeping head. Then, at 5am, the cacophony of breakfast preparation begins. More NOISE! Workers stomping, dropping dishes and utensils. Bang clang! Time to wake up! No sleep for the weary. At 7am the stomps and rustle of the early morning patrons begin. Their foot steps, their suitcases, the rumble and tumble of the morning. All above your head while you try and sleep. We were quite disappointed with our stay this time. We stayed here 3 years ago and were quite pleased. However, this visit was extremely disappointing! The pool looked like it was dirty, the pool area was packed with exercise equipment (due to a remodel). However, the most disappointing thing was that they wanted to charge $35 to check in early, the room was ready, so no extra work would have been required. Check in is at 4:00 and Check out at 11:00! That's absolutely ridiculous! If that is the new policy, why the hell wouldn't they give us a discount for early check out! Best western will get our 2 week stay this summer! read more

We ended up here after a horrible experience at the Best Western across the street. This hotel was clean, spacious, friendly, and had several cool perks. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean. They give you tickets for a free drink every night, complimentary soup & salad, and free breakfast (not great, but pretty decent!). We had a plumbing issue and they were quick to help and left things clean. We had a two queen room with a view. This is a decent hotel. I've stayed there in the past and also have attended events there in the past. Some friends were in town from California and needed a place to stay. I happily recommend this hotel. I love the fact that it's reasonably priced. They give you a free hot meal for breakfast every day. They give you beverage drinks tickets. And they have a really decent free salad bar every night and specials like prime rib Friday nights. I met my friends there for dinner, and I had the prime rib. One of my friends had a salmon dish. The other had fish and chips, which she really liked. And that fish sounded very crunchy every time she took a bite! I didn't stay in a room because I am a local, but they did. They had a nice overlook of the water. Easy access to things and activities all around Silverdale. Oh, I need to mention the very good customer service at the hotel. AWARENESS: Plans for this month were to be sipping on vino and snacking on antipasto in Italy but the Rona and politics killed that noise. So, the wife and I did the next best thing. With both of our boys in port, stateside and in they're respective duty bases - ROAD TRIP! First stop. Naval Sub Base in Bangor Washington. NARRATIVE: With our planned trip to Italy cancelled. The wife and I decided to visit our boys. Both are currently on active duty in the Navy. Our oldest is in San Diego and our middle on a submarine, home ported in Bangor Washington. We decided to visit our middle son first. While making travel plans to travel to Bangor, WA, I contacted several hotels in and around the sub base. The Navy Lodge, Navy Gateway Inn & Suites and Hilton. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. The Rona took a toll on those hotels too. Then I defaulted to my Yelp app and got a solid hit. The Oxford Suites in Silverdale Washington, which is only a few minutes from Bangor. SCENE: The Oxford Inn & Suites sits on and overlooks the waterways of the Dyes Inlet. The hotel is also surrounded by many shops, restaurants and beautiful, tall evergreen trees. The views in the morning as the sun begins to crest and warm the bays water is breathtaking. EVIDENCE: I'll do this with the Pros and Cons approach: Pros: 1. Cleanliness is Godliness has to be this hotels model. 2. The staff - all professional. Helpful. Friendly and, approachable. They are by far the best I've encountered during any of my hotel stays. 3. The hotel - a bit old and outdated but, they've done a great job with the cleanliness to keep it looking sharp, welcoming and inviting. 4. The food - their complimentary breakfast is the bomb. For those of you who know me and my picky ways. Saying the food is great does NOT come easy. Cons: 1. The stairwells - really need corner mirrors so one can see who is coming around or maybe lurking around the corners. 2. Lighting - in and around the property could greatly be improved by installing LED bright white light bulbs. The bathrooms in our room were a bit too dark. 3. Bathroom mirrors - the lack of good light in the room bathrooms could be fix by installing LED lighted mirrors with defogging. It's costly but, the guest would welcome it. RECOMMENDATION(S): This hotel has it all. Scenic views. A close proximity to shopping and restaurants. Great food and a super friendly and helpful staff. I go to Silverdale for medical care and sometimes must stay the night. I had an excellent stay at Oxford Suites and the manager went above and beyond, picking me up from a procedure and making sure I got safely to my room. Everyone from the front desk, housekeeping, kitchen staff and restaurant servers were so friendly and welcoming. I have two service dogs and they were loved on and Oxford Suites even provided bags for me to pick up after them when we walked. I will definitely stay again! My room had two beds and a sofa with a coffee table, which made relaxing more comfortable than other places I've stayed. They of course had other amenities and a great soaker tub! My view from the window was of the water. Now if I could time it so high tide is during the day, I'd love it! I did see herons and I think a seal, one evening. read more

I found myself on a business trip to the Bremerton / Subase Bangor area and was looking for accommodations. My travel program gave me some selections a couple of which were national chains but it also had the Oxford Suites listed. Now anyone who has travelled for business knows that your company has a price range which you must stay in. So all of the choices were within the Same price range. It would then follow that the accommodations would all be of the same relative quality. I thing could be further from the truth. For value the Oxford Suites cannot be beaten. I travel frequently and stay at the various national chains and comparing and comparing my stay to those the Oxford Suites stands far above them. What makes the Oxford Suites my choice when in this area are three things: (1) Bed comfort, (2) Service, and (3) Amenities. (1) The bed was extremely comfortable. I like a firm mattress because of my back but this bed was soft and comfy while being firm enough that I did not feel any after effects on my lower back. (2) I made a couple of housekeeping requests during my stay (extra hangers and extra coffee supplies) and they were provided in abundance and extremely quickly (within 5 min of the request). Also all of the staff smiled when interacting with them and in every case went out of 5eir way to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. (3) The breakfast and the Manager's daily social were the stars of the trip. Typically in every other national chain I have stayed in the "free breakfast" borders on being inedible. Not so with the breakfast offered at the Oxford Suites. It is very good, restaurant quality food. Also the evening Manager's social is good as they provide soup and salad and two free drinks from their bar. All in all if I am back in the area this would be my hotel of choice and have no problem in recommending it to my fellow employees who travel here also. read more

Kids and adults alike enjoy the large hot breakfast buffet and evening salad/ sandwich bar. You also get 2 drink tickets each day and there is hot coffee/ cocoa available at all times. Hotels in the area are limited. This 4 star review is mostly due to the noise level in our room. If it weren't for the noise I would definitely rate it higher. When we first checked in, we were given a room that did not have a kitchenette as we requested while making our reservation. Had I not bought $150 worth of groceries right before check in and knowing we needed a long term stay due to military orders; this would not have been a big deal. Front desk was very helpful getting us moved into a different room. We unpacked everything and we were relieved to have the extended stay room. However, the price increased about $40 per night. After unpacking, I realized the room had not be cleaned well. There were lipstick stains on 2 of the 4 glasses. Ramen noodles and a layer of dust on the fridge, crumbs and ramen noodles in the cabinets/drawers, and an extremely dirty stovetop. Having to spend extra time cleaning up someone else's mess was frustrating. I went to unpack our toiletries in the bathroom to find kitty litter on the baseboards and floor. Again, getting more frustrated. The kitchenette room we reserved was also to have a walkout door so We could let the dogs out. This walkout door was a great idea, until I notice the only way to get past the dirt/mud area and at least a pack or 2 of cigarettes butts, I was going to have to crawl under a tree branch to get there...or I could take the route to the right, but this would be an obstacle course to reach the grass on the other side. With my recent major back surgery and a car accident after we arrived to Silverdale, this was not going to work out well for us. So, we get moved to yet another room. The 3rd room was clean! Yay! The fridge however was super small. So now our freezer items are stored upstairs in the bistro kitchen. We have a walkout door with grass right outside of our room. Another yay! The bad thing about this room is the walkout area. There is some major road and sidewalk construction going on, making it extremely muddy, messy and slippery and dangerous. (But this is only temporary). The bed was mostly comfortable, a little firmer than my liking but definitely doable. Around 430am-5am in the morning, we are awoken to loud banging noises, and what sounds like carts or furniture being moved across the floor. Our dogs of course went on alert and react with barking. We realized that our room is directly below the kitchen from the Bistro. The constant noise from the kitchen getting ready for breakfast is unacceptable, especially for the room rate we are paying. The loud noises continue to get worse when breakfast is over with cleanup. The kitchen noise starts back up around 4pm in the afternoon and ends around 11pm. My advice if you stay here...request a room that is NOT anywhere near the kitchen on the Lower level (we are in LL3). Our keys have had to be reset a few times, as the front desk keeps showing us as checking out. On a positive note...the free breakfast is very good. The coffee is good. Soup and salad in the evening is another bonus. The soups are extremely flavorful. The ranch dressing is bomb...actually all of their salad dressings are amazing! The rooms are spacious. My one and only compliant is the smell of exhaust wafting in the hallway and my room at night. Quite toxic! Von was nice and tried to figure it out but I believe it was coming from the kitchen. I had to stuff my door jam with paper towels to prevent the odor from entering my room, then I was able to sleep like a baby in the super comfortable bed AND pillows!!!! I stayed here years ago on my very first trip to Silverdale for work in Keyport. I remembered it fondly and last year I stayed across the water at the hotel right on the water --- The Best Western Plus. So this year I was able to book it because all the other hotels in the area were booked --- check-in was easy enough but the elevator was broken and had to be reset so we had to wait about 15 minutes for that - everyone was friendly - no huge deal. When I made the reservation I requested a top floor room away from the elevator - at checkin I was informed there were no top floor rooms but might be one on the third floor (only four) if I wanted to wait - otherwise it was a second floor room 201. I said that would be fine as long as it wasn't really loud and there weren't a bunch of kids doing jumping jacks above me. So let me say - this was one of the loudest rooms I have ever stayed in. Ever. At all hours I could hear things being slammed around - like closet doors - things being drug down the hall. At 4am the first morning I was woken by some really loud dumpster or something being drug down the main hallway. I believe the restaurant is below this room and you can hear it. You are also situated to see the bay - but this means you are directly beside a street and can hear all the cars driving past at all hours of the night. The location is spectacular - it's near to plenty of shopping and hotels and everything you could need (try Aladdin's Palace for great mediterranean food) and the water view is beautiful in the morning and evening. The included breakfast and two drinks at night is a nice touch. But it was LOUD the entire time --- very loud - so for the lack of sleep quality - I'm giving two stars because that's pretty important for a hotel. read more

A stay originally reserved for two nights turned into two weeks due to a family emergency. The entire staff was outstanding, going above and beyond to address the length of our ever changing stay. Many thanks to Yvonna, Derik, Nina and the rest of the front desk personnel for the kind, friendly and sympathetic treatment we received during a very stressful time. Each evening included a free drink voucher in the bar. Raynah, Abbie and Rachel were wonderful to everyone there, making sure all were attended to. Great dinners were provided by Rachel , Andy and Liliana with smiles, and we ate there many of the evenings. We appreciated the complimentary home made soups and fresh salads. The water view on the Dining Room balcony featured beautiful views with wildlife and was very relaxing after stressful days. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were perfect, unlike the 'throw pillows' at other hotels. Housekeeping staff on the 4th floor had no problem seeing to our requests for new towels and clean sheets when we requested them and always greeted us with smiles and good mornings. Morning breakfast included eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausage, oatmeal, cereal, bagels and muffins. There was no way you'd leave hungry with the kind attention paid to us by Kelly, Leona and Jennifer. They are wonderful people. The location and cleanliness of the hotel is only outdone by the excellent, friendly staff taking care of you. We were grateful for the warm attention we received during our stay. The only reason I took a star off was because the bartender was so rude and pushy about the 20% coupon discount vs getting your free drinks. I was very much impressed with our one night hotel stay here! The hotel staff was super friendly, welcoming and helpful. They even let us borrow a scissor to make a corsage. The check-in/out process was quick and a synch. The double queen beds room we booked had a pretty good view of Dyes Inlet from the patio. The bed were so comfy along with their four soft pillows. My skin loved the feel of their quality sheets and bedding and was knocked out so fast come bedtime. The room is super clean, and the bathroom is bigger than a typical hotel room. The counter space is higher and designed for taller people. We're short people and it was more noticeable for my wife who's even shorter than me. I wasn't a big fan of their soap and lotion products (Lemongrass Sage), which was too flagrant for my liking. The ambience is inviting and cozy with ample lighting. They also have a swimming pool and a 24-hour fitness center which I didn't get a chance to use. Our reservation came with complimentary soup, salad, coffee, tea, hot cocoa from the dining room. Each guests also received two alcoholic (beer, wine) or soft drink, and breakfast buffet. It's a step better than a typical hot breakfast buffet, which included: potato wedges, scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage links, kielbasa, fruits, oatmeal, and cereal. It can be hard to find a good hotel - and reviews are often all over the place - but we were very happy with our stay here. It was within walking distance to Starbucks, 7-11, multiple restaurants and the waterfront. Our toilet ran throughout the night and when we mentioned it they offered to send someone immediately- at 10pm even. We did not need it fixed but wanted them to know going forward- it didn't bother us but we know others can be more sensitive to that kind of thing. We were able to bring breakfast up to our room to enjoy with the bay view and didn't hear anyone else from inside our room. read more

Who would've thought Silverdale would have such a nice hotel? I guess not me. Our suite was beautiful and immaculately clean! The sheets were crisp with five pillows. However, the pillows were a bit too thick and fluffy. When I tried sleeping on it, it hurt my neck. So, I had to sleep on something else. My suggestion to Oxford Suite: offer different softness and thickness of pillows. This would really benefit us vertically - challenged people. We're short and thus we most likely have short necks. So we need thinner pillows. Anyway, not a big deal. The suite actually had a full kitchen: full-sized fridge, stove, cabinets with plates and cups. It would be awesome for those who had to stay for extended work trips. Now the BEST part. The views from our balcony are to die for! GORGEOUS! You get a huge balcony with two chairs to sit and relax and just breathe in the sea air. One of the most relaxing stays in a long time. All Oxford Suites have complimentary full, hot breakfast buffets with Tully coffee. During the evening, you get two free drinks per person, per night. The selections are beer, wine and soda but the types of beer are limited. The hotel feels upscale and the customer service was great and friendly. Oh, and it's quiet so you will get a good night's sleep. Despite the amazing stay, there was one negative thing about this hotel and it's pretty huge for me and most people. The shower temperature in the morning is lukewarm, not hot. By the end of the shower, it's luke cold. Not good but that won't prevent me from coming back when we're staying in the Bremerton area. Hopefully, the water heater will be improved and we'll get hot water. Overall, great hotel! read more

Nestled in the town of Silverdale we stayed at the newest hotel the Oxford Suites. With friendly, helpful staff and management it was a great experience. The free breakfast buffet offered an assortment of hot items to choose from. We were greeted with an immediate hello and smiling faces when we walked in. Made us feel right at home. The interior of the reception room was comfortable and spacious with a warm fireplace burning. The dining area looked out over the water. A beautiful way to start your day. read more

Background- came from a 12 hour plane flight, then 2 hour bus ride using the airporter (yes it stops here by request only). Exhausted. Walked into a figuratively warm lobby, sincere greeting, front desk associate was very friendly. After checking in and receiving WiFi password, voucher for free breakfast, and 2 free drinks, checked out the rest of the hotel and room. All kept in good condition and clean. Very impressed. Big room, bathroom, tub and balcony looking over the water. Exhausted, I fall asleep quickly on the king size bed, it was more on the firm side - perfect. Wash up in the morning. Good pressure from the shower. Head down excited for a free hot breakfast. Impressed with the spread. My favorites were the blueberry pancakes and coffee. Then I wrote a yelp review, and checked out with a full belly and coffee to go. I really have nothing negative to say. read more

Heads up this is going to be a two handed review.. On the one hand this hotel looks great, the staff is friendly & responsive, and the complementary breakfast was robust, tasty & warm. A sounds great, a real tuck me in experience right? But before you race over there for the complementary makeup towelettes be warned there were two issues that my wife & I experienced (1) very slow internet connection - ya know the kind that requires one's Instagram video to have to wait for the upload wheel to complete its queuing rotation (vs, ya know, like they have in the 21st century) (2) and this may only be a 4th floor room issue, BUT if you consider sleeping as a core competency that takes priority over friendly & tasty then this is a major knock out is for you.... It appears that when they assigned us our 4th floor room they neglected to tell us that the building maintenance system has a very large humidifier system on the roof (above the 4th floor) to keep the building dry. This system goes on/off randomly and when it goes on its not only loud but it vibrates the room. Management here is the fix: (1) only assign 4th floor rooms if the building is completely sold out (2) when a guest calls to complains don't give them the false impression that you can fix it - it can't be fixed !!! - do your guest a favor and move them ASAP to any available room on the first 3 floors.
